Rick, Rob and Steve came today to install the 5 foot chain link fence! Considering they had to remove our old fencing , they did it without complaint and set the poles! Very professional, really nice guys!!!!! Looking forward to tomorrow to our new fence knowing it is going to look fabulous thanks to these hard working guys!
Had my fence done. Very happy with it. The gates in particular are very well built. Material delivered quickly and installed within days.
We absolutely love our fence. We had chain wink installed on one side of our yard approximately 2 years ago. Oh. Decided to do the other side with chain link across the front and vinyl behind the pool for privacy. The installers Rick and Robert were very professional accommodating and friendly.. They did an awesome job! We like the vinyl so much we have decided to replace part of the chain link in the back to extend the vinyl all the way down the yard for complete privacy. There may have been a bit of a wait for the supplies to come in but that is the case with everything these days. Would highly recommend this company to anyone and everyone!!! Hoping we get Rick and Robert back for the next installation!
A Great Fence is “OUTSTANDING. I priced multiple companies and hands down their price is the best in town. I am so impressed by the entire experience at A Great Fence. The office staff from the beginning was very polite and offered excellent customer service. Mr. Victor was very punctual and knowledgeable in his profession. The installer’s Rick, Steve, and Robert were also very professional and thorough. The crew worked very efficient, safe and completed the job in a timely manner. They did an awesome job installing my vinyl fence. I would most definitely recommend this company and would use again. I have already recommended there services to my co-workers and friends. We started the process in November and just had the projected completed. Fort Pierce changed their permit process and it affected the time frame of the project. Pleased with installation and how responsive they were to my concerns.
I just had the pleasure of having my fence done by A Great Fence. First off, I had a written estimate from another fence company and they beat their price so they stood by their word. I was in communication with Crystal in the office and she was a pleasure!! Always responded to my emails and calls.Hands down to my installers Louis and Robert!!! These two young men were on time everyday and did an amazing job!!! Very polite and professional. They took their time, didnt rush and made sure everything was perfect!!! I am beyond pleased with our fence and happy we went with them!!!I highly recommend A Great Fence for your fencing needs!!!
I recently had an aluminum fence installed and A Great Fence did an awesome job. If I had any issues during the process, Darrick, the owner would come out and resolve the issue personally. Crystal the office manager is very pleasant and helpful too. My installer was Scott and I cant say enough about how much I appreciate the job he did on installing my fence. Scott took his time and he did an amazing job. The team is professional and courteous and I would recommend them to my family and friends.
It took multiple phone calls and follow up to get a correct drawing and estimate.Gate and gate posts of vinyl fence were very scratched. Owner came out and said he would send someone out to fix it if I was willing to pay all but $100. Thinking I would have a satisfactory resolution I agreed.The person who came out tried to use fine sandpaper and gave up. He said he would discuss it with the owner as he agreed it was unsatisfactory workmanship.I was then billed for the remaining $100 and got no further follow up. I finally told them I had no intention of paying the final $100.I was told that they were going to contact the vinyl supplier but then all communication from them stopped.I have never experienced such poor customer service and lack of follow up. I would never recommend them.I see that the owner usually answers negative posts by claiming that they are not true.If he thinks this is untrue, I expect a phone call to tell me personally what he thinks is untrue.
Poor service. Terrible customer service. Get the job late and when they did its not to our expectations. Gate is done so bad that.it looks like it will fall apart when you open and closet. They suggested to fix it for $150,. Their poor job, they want me to pay to fix it. What a joke.
Had some fence repairs that needed to be done. The 2 workers named Robert & Louis were the workers that did the repair work. They were on time and very polite and courteous. Did not take them very long to complete the repairs. Very satisfied and would recommend.
Called to make an appointment for an estimate and they said they can make an appointment but the time is determined the day before. What a joke. I guess they expect everyone to be able drop all things? I even asked if I can set an appointment further out just to get a set time and they said the same thing. Time is determined the day before. This is just bad way to run business. Your customers are just as busy as your company. I get it if I was requesting an appointment urgently or requesting like to be added on last minute, that makes sense. I wait to see if I can be added on the schedule. But not even be able to schedule an appointment far out with a set time doesn’t make sense at all.
I needed a small section of fence installed to connect to my existing fence. In this challenging time of covid all business are feeling the results of it. The fence was done in a timely manor and the installers were great. Very pleased.

Atrocious. Owner built a funhouse fence that looked nothing like the agreed upon plans, built it on my neighbors property line & tried to charge me to put it back on mine then tried to sue me when I refused to pay. He lost & is refusing to pay damages.0/10 company, 0/10 moral fiber, 0/10 moral fiber.Their response below is a lie, we went to court & they lost. Still refusing to pay. Trash company.
Robert and Scoot did our fencing and they were a great team who worked efficiently and in a timely manner. Fencing came out great and I’m more then happy to not see my neighbors any longer! I’d 10 out of 10 recommend this company and team to anyone asking. Great job guys!!
I am very pleased with A Great Fence and their installers. Robert and Louis were very good at working as a team. The only thing that slowed them down was the weather and they have no control over that. I would highly recommend this company for fencing services!
This company is phenomenal. I priced multiple companies and can tell you I am so impressed by the entire experience at A Great Fence. I had issues with my HOA and they were so helpful in explaining exactly what was needed for permitting and helping me get this from the HOA. From the front office staff (especially Suzie), the estimator, and the installer everyone I dealt with here was so professional and thorough. Use them you will not be disappointed.
Ok, get ready for a fun ride…. On September 23 of this year I had Victor visit my home in order to provide an estimate for 320’ of wood fence and an electric “estate gate”. I was emailed an estimate on September 28. I replied to the email estimate on October 1 with a few very specific questions as the estimate was very vague with regards to how the gate would look and what was included. (they drew a few lines on the estimate and wrote “14’ slide gate” next to one line and “320’ ” next to the others) I also requested the cost of the fence be separated from the gate. They replied on October 4th, “everything is included”…and “Unfortunately, at this moment I don’t have the quotes separate yet. I will send an updated proposal once I receive the quote back.”My last question was, “Once approved by me and/or the city, how soon would you be able to start/finish?” Their answer, “Timeframe can be better provided once material order is done. But based on the material of this quote it would take us between 4-6 weeks to receive fence material and between 1-2 weeks to start looking at the scheduling of the installers. This is all weather permitting of course.”I replied the same day requesting again clarification to how the gate would look. I suggested sending me pictures of previous jobs…on October 7th I received this reply, “My apologies for the confusion. Your request has been sent to our head estimator. Once I receive an answer we will get in touch with you.” On October 11th, I received this reply, “ I got a word back from our head estimator and, depending on the material you will be moving forward with, there would be no columns included since rollgates have a frame that is mounted to the gate (steel frame if wood, aluminum frame if pvc). And the operator is mounted to a concrete slab that we pour. Unfortunately, I do not have any pictures I could attach to show you at this moment.” The same day, I replied and requested addresses of some gates they installed so I might ride by and view the product. On October 13th I received this reply, “ I was able to pull 2 addresses for the jobs we have done access control gates for. One of them is called Watermark, the address is 2201 nw federal highway. Stuart Fl, 34994. Another access control gate job we have done is at Jensen beach high school, address 2875 nw goldenrod rd, Jensen beach Fl, 34957. The gates you will see are aluminum material.”I replied that these were both COMMERCIAL gates and of no help to me. Watermark being an apartment complex and well, the other a school. I asked AGAIN for the separated estimate. No replies were offered by Monday October 18th, so I decided to call.I spoke with two ladies, both of which stated the office manager and the owner were out of the office. No one was familiar with my name, emails or pending estimate. Out of frustration, I uttered a vulgarity and hung up. Ironically, minutes later, the owner Darrick called me. I asked him what was wrong with his staff and he replied “what’s wrong with you that you have to curse?” I stated that I felt I was dealing with incompetence as my inquiries were either unanswered or not answered helpfully. He replied, “That was me who replied to you”. I answered, “well if that’s the case, there’s no reason to go any further.” He replied (ready for this?) “Go somewhere else and go fuck yourself”This guy is either so busy and can’t use the work or his internal communication system is broken. Or worse, his company IS incompetent. For any or all of these reasons, you should steer clear of considering them.

NOT-A-GREAT FenceCalled these guys to build a fence around my pool. When the owner, Derrick, came by for the estimate my husband told him it was a newly constructed home and the city required the black mesh around the pool because he didnt have a fence yet to act as a pool barrier. Derrick then proceeds to build a fence that is not a pool barrier because he assumed that it didnt need to be because it had the black mesh around it. When my husband called, Derrick admitted he didnt ask if it needed to be a pool barrier because he just assumed that the black mesh was in place for that. (Really?) But he did say that he would come up with a solution that would make everyone happy. The next day we get a call and an email requesting the remainder of the payment. When we called Derrick again, he basically said he wasnt going to do anything about it and that we were to pay for our nonpool barrier fence around our pool. Worst customer service Ive ever experienced. Horrible people to deal with. Please save your money and go elsewhere. Not only are these people not the smartest apples in the bunch, but they are also very lacking in terms of customer service. Edit: By the way, just want to point out how in every bad review they get here, they have an excuse. Hire them and when they mess up your fence, thats what youll get, excuses. Or you can hire a better company that actually spends more time doing the job right than writing up responses to explain their poor work. Your choice.
I am very disappointed I ordered the fence early Feb it wasnt installed until end of May when i threatened to cancel the order. Horrible customer service. Fence look crooked and they are giving me a story that it has to be that way to meet code. then they overcharged me for the permit fee! permit was $50 and they charged me $200DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY
We had a great fence install our fence about a month ago and it was overall a pretty good and simple experience. The the price was cheaper than I thought and it looks great but my only issue I had was after they were done and I did my walk around to make sure everything was good I noticed where they installed the post they just left all the piles of dirt and soil right there and looked horrible and I was surprised they would just left the piles like that but it didnt bother me that much to say anything because I THOUGHT it would be a quick fix and wasnt worth complaining about. My house is only a year and a half old so the lawn isnt in bad shape and not that its spring and Im trying to get my lawn back to looking good I now realize that its not as easy as I thought and kinda infuriating now that I have to deal with about 30 piles of dirt and soil lining entire yard. Honestly it would have been 5 stars if it wasnt for the piles just left there for me to clean up.

Not to mention we hit a major bump with my home survey, they were patient and helped me to understand what was happening and what needed to be done to fix it. Amazing!!! Lowest price around but WILL NOT RETURN CALLS. I received a quote from this company in July via email. I responded to the email with questions and did not get a response. About 1 week later I attempted to call and got no response. I left 2-3 messages and got no response.I called the gentleman who came out to do the estimate and he said he would call the office and have them call me and still NO RESPONSE! I ended up going with another company who was more professional. Worst customer service. And if they try to say I’m lying as they have other people on this thread I have the proof that I am not. In reference to the below comment it... I am not mistaken unless someone stole your company’a name which is highly unlikely. I received one email to which I responded and never got a response. Do not trust this company or owner. If I could post pictures of my email and call log I would.
I couldnt be happier!!! From the first time i contacted them until i got my fence completed, the expierence itself was phenomenal!! The office staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the entire project and the guys who installed the fence worked very hard and even over the weekend to get the job done!!! I contacted the company for just a quote the ladies in the office were very good at getting us a crew member to come out and estimate. After getting estimate and approving, it only took less than 2 weeks to have them come out and do a fantastic job. Between the installers to the front office ladies. I emailed several local fence companies and A Great Fence was the only one that returned my email. They promptly sent out a surveyor who provided a detailed estimate for several different options of chain link fence and was very knowledgeable in helping me decide on what would be right for my property. After settling on what I wanted I paid a 50% deposit and was told roughly two weeks until it was installed. Two weeks later Rick and Scott showed up and began installing my fence. The fence looks amazing and I couldnt be happier with it. If I purchase another property in the area that needs a fence installed I will definitely use A Great Fence again!
We were told that the whole process from quote to a finished fence would be 3-5 weeks. Okay, we’re fine with that. Week 5 rolls around and they call and say the team will be there Wednesday to start. Never showed. Said the team would be there Thursday. Never showed. Called and said the team will be there Friday at noon. Showed up at 4pm and stayed only 45 minutes. The two men who put up our fence were fantastic. They totally deserve to be paid more. However, this company lacks any communication skills and is not professional AT ALL. On the last day of our fence being installed, our neighbor had an issue with our fence touching her fence. She called the company and the owner came out. He started digging holes in our front and back yard to see where exactly the property line was. Never once communicated anything with me. In the end, once he found out that our neighbor paid more money for their fence then we paid for ours, he was 100% on their side and agreed with everything our neighbor said. This is such a dirty company. Charge you a hefty fee to pay with a credit card. Please do not get a fence from this company. It will be a rough 3-5 weeks.
A gr8 company to deal with. I got a quality fence at a gr8 price. They actually answer the phone when u call. Go figure...Crystal is always there for you and always has an answer to your question, wonderful lady to deal with..About our installer, Adam.He was there bright and early every morn. Very responsible young man and did a wonderful job installing our fence. I would highly recommend asking for Adam to be your installer...Kudos to you, crystal and adam, definitely keepers...Thank you a great fence for A GREAT FENCE......PHIL

I give 4 stars only because of the installers. They are great at explaining what the salesman have neglected to do. Our fence is looking amazing.The salesmen (we have had two) however really dont listen to anything we have to say nor do they pay attention to the information they themselves are giving. No matter what is discussed, no matter how much it seems like you are all on the same page....when changes needed to be made from what was discussed we were not notified. Our fence is now being built low on a slope instead of in our yard before the slope. Not to mention the salesmen themselves told us that we can build ours right up against our neighbors fence so we agreed to it both times and expected that the plan depicted all of this. In conversation, all was 100% agreed upon...on paper it was nothing that we discussed.However they did get the materials correct and the installers are following the plans that they were given and its beautiful so far. Our issues are solely with the salesmen.After reading other reviews I see we are not the only ones with the communication issues with the salesmen. I understand them not wanting to fess up to the mistakes they make regards these issues but they should not be putting blame on the customers putting up the cost for their expectations to be met.Also you will see the name Derrick being mentioned in a few of the reviews.....he is the unprofessional man responding to the bad reviews and also the one responsible for the negative part of my review. I would love to be able to post pictures of the text message conversation with him to further show his unprofessionalism in this company.All in all, minus Derrick, this company is doing a great job on our fence thus far.

I had a fence installed in February. They were prompt and I was very happy with the instal. One thing that sold me to use them is they offered a 1 year warranty for things like issues with the gate or boards warping. Bottom line is they stand by their product and the work that happens. Being that it is a wood fence, there was bound to be boards that split or warped so this mattered in my decision to use them.When there was an issue I called the company and the owner, Darrick, came out personally to assess my concerns. Each time he had someone out faster than I expected and they have always been professional and courteous. I would use him and A Great Fence again and will continue to recommend them to my friends and neighbors.
I was given an estimate of $150 to $250 to repair my gate. The tech was at my house including time in his van for less than 30 minutes. He did a great job with a quick repair. I got the bill and it was for $250 the very top of their estimate range. I questioned and they wrote...“Our technicians are highly trained and we compensate them for their knowledge and expertise.It’s not always about how long they are at the property. We also have drive time to and from.”I asked what would have had to take place to get the $150 side of the estimate and was told they would let the owner know my concerns.I decided to split the difference and sent them $200. I received the below response.“Good morning, Michael.Per the owner of A Great Fence- Darrick Bailey, we will accept the partial payment you sent in.However we have advised our partner companies of the partial payment and to not do business with you in the future.The work done is also NOT under warranty due to only partial payment being made.Please do not contact us in the future for any work you may need done on your electric gate or any fencing project.Have a nice day.”Sounds like they are black balling me.Read the company responses to poor reviews, they never take any blame or apologize, never their fault.

This is hands down the worst experience I have ever had working with a contractor of any trade. We chose this company based on the mid range quote compared to other companies but primarily the shorter quoted lead time. I am just now at the end of the project that was signed back in April....that is 7 months for a fence.Issue #1 - The project started with a serious lack of communication. No matter how many times I contacted the front desk, I explained time and time again to contact before coming to property which every time was agreed by the front desk yet I was rarely ever contacted prior to arrival.Issue #2 - The installed was very unprofessional and would park in my yard on the grass almost every visit and whenever I would check my camera while at work he seemed to be sitting in his car (which would help explain why the work took significantly longer than expected).Issue #3 - Loose debris and wood/tools were left spread out through my yard just one day prior to the hurricane that was expected to make landfall earlier this year. I had reached out to the company two-three times before they sent two employees to remove all of the possible projectiles (they still left a ton of wood lying around that I had to clean up myself)Issue #4 - The fence that I paid for was intended to meet up to my neighbors fence and that was what my original quote was based on. Apparently my survey was incorrect, although no matter how many times I informed the company that it was most likely incorrect based on previous owner issues and my neighbors explanation, they took it upon themselves to completely remove the section of fence and move it in (making my yard smaller) by 3-4 along the entire side without even contacting me to let me know. From there they had just reused the same panels, that were all level, on the hill section of my yard leaving inconsistent gaps at the bottom.Issue #4 - If the work was originally performed not on my property then according to that, they removed my neighbors fence and just left a section of the chain link open. My neighbors dogs all got out of their yard because of this, which is a reason I requested contact when on property.Issue #5 - I agreed with Darrick (manager) that I would relocate the wood fence myself once the permit was closed and I purchased an updated survey and he agreed through text messages that they would relocate the PVC portion with me taking any liability for any issues with permitting. Once the permit was closed I asked when they would move the PVC portion and he stated that he would never do this. I have text message proof of our agreement and he THREATENED TO TAKE ME TO COURT over this because I had not paid the full amount thinking the work was not complete. He argued with me and completely twisted my words in a way I did not even think was possible, and I work with construction litigation pretty often.There were what seems like 100 more issues that are just too much to put into one review.Overall, save your time and money and just go with someone else. Do yourself a favor and check the reviews on plenty of other sites because the majority that I see are somewhat consistent with my experience so this is not just a one off issue, it is systemic. I welcome AGF to respond to this message with how they would like to blame me for all of the issues as that is usually how they try to explain it on the phone. I have fully paid my invoice as I felt that it was literally worth paying it just to never be associated with them again.RESPONSE:You have the timeline mixed up here. I stopped the job once you came to the property and moved the fence without communicating this to me at all, this is actually when the neighbors dogs got out. As you can see in the text, the manager Darrick had agreed to move the fence yet went back on his word, again without informing me before completing the project. Also why was there a fence post left installed after we discussed where I wanted it to go, and then the fence not installed to that point?

A great fence came and gave me a quote, then would not respond to emails and inquiries about a timeline. After 2 weeks of no response, I switched to another company.

My dealings with this company is insane, all they had to do was install my fence in the back and 2 side fences ( both sides of my house is fenced in by neighbors) first the order was written up for a 4 foot fence which we never asked for always said 5 feet to match the neighbors sides . I called the person who wrote it up no response, had to call office and get a diffrent price now for 5 feet not 4 I called Monday I was told at least another 2 week wait, Tuesday morning I got a call saying they were on their way. At 11 am one person showed up worked till 330 had to get his kids but we were told he was shorted 1 section ( don’t this company check before starting a job that all materials are there) thursday no show called the office was given the number to Derek called him explained I am having workers to redo my lani floor . Derek told me my installers car broke down he might finish Thursday or Friday I explained I can’t have the workers come Friday if fence isn’t finished can’t let dogs out, his suggestion was he new someone that can do my lani on Friday, if his company can’t even finish a job why would I trust any recommendations especially with the fact he knows nothing of what I’m doing or cost. That was his best answer and I will have to wait till this installers car is fixed or Friday he will send over diffrent workers, here’s an idea why didn’t u do that on Thursday when his car broke especially after telling him I was going to have to cancel my lani and wait another 4-6 weeks. My opinion this company not worth the headache and the lack of concern for their customers
If I could possibly give this company zero stars I would. In my opinion when someone tells you a job will take 3 to 4 business days to complete and it ends up taking them weeks is someone I would NOT recommend to anyone.Starting with workers not showing up when we were told they would and no one calling us to tell us they weren’t coming. When we were told they were finished we walked around the yard and there was trash in the yard and post that they had not filled in.We called the company several times to have someone come out and finish the job and finally took them 4 times coming out before they got it done. The communication within this company is horrible.On one occasion after getting out of the shower, I go to let my dog out in our back yard which now has a privacy fence and as soon as I open the door he goes after someone in our backyard.I had no idea who this person was or why they are in my yard. Luckily I was able to get the dog in before anyone got hurt.Needless to say I was very embarrassed and upset. Once I got dressed I go outside and ask the 2 young men what they were doing in my back yard and was told that I was supposed to have received a call from the office letting me know they were on their way out, which I of course never received. So thenI asked them why they didn’t come and knock on the door to let me know they were there and that they should NEVER go into someones fenced in back yard without letting them know. They apologized but said as long as they were there could they go ahead and finish the job and left without having me check that everything was done.Once I tell my husband , who was not home during all of this, he immediately calls the owner Derrick and tells him that I am due a formal apology from him, which he agrees is the least he can do. I did get a call that day from his secretary and of course she apologized and asked me if I still felt I needed a call from the owner of the company. I declined feeling the the owner should have been the one to call in the first place.As of today the job is completed but I would never use this company again nor would I EVER recommend them to anyone. Poor communication, poor customer service and the owner of the company takes no responsibility for any of this.
Overall a great experience. They know their business and will help you figure out exactly what is needed. They handle the entire process including permits. When I call, someone answers the phone! There is no such thing as perfect when it comes to construction and like any construction project it can get messy. They went above and beyond to make the entire process as less messy as possible.

The end product was great. They had me worried at first when they finally started the job but I feel this fence will last longer than last 3. One point of advise when you guys start follow behind due to weather, call the customers or give them a more realist date of start date. Mine took almost 2 months but I will use A Great Fence again next to finish my yard. Customer beware be sure to ask questions and watch the workmanship.
Very poor quality. Fence is literally falling apart everywhere. They do not honor their warranty. Once you pay them, it’s over. They are the cheapest around, I did shop it, but unfortunately I got what I paid for. A cheap garbage fence. Do yourself a favor and pay a little more to a reputable fence company that stands behind their work. Just read the rest of their reviews, I am by far not the only unhappy customer.

We recently went through Hurricane Irma, and on her way through, she took our fence. Thanks to the experienced staff at A Great Fence, they were able to tear down the rest of my old fence and stack it neatly in front of my home, and during the next two days they perfectly installed our new fence. First time using these guys, I wanted to put a basic wooden fence around the yard at my summer home and these guys were fast and efficient. Would definitely use them again if I ever need another fence.
Buyer beware. First off just read some of the replies from the company!! Horrible. I must have got them at a bad time. They got the measurements wrong. Phone tag was awful and everything was my fault. I had to call and have them add the additional footage from their measurements. I sent the survey of my property. Fence was not installed as per our agreement. Its looks jacked up. More phone tag. The run around. Was feed some BS about how my survey was wrong, its a brand new house in a new community. What we thought would be an easy install turned out to be very aggravating. Was told I was being sent to collections and a lien was being place on my house and the job wasnt even finished. You get what you pay for. Decent product. Good price. Poor customer service and a huge lack of communication. I would have paid more to have my fence installed the way I wanted it. I feel like Ive wasted 5k because no company will touch it now to fix it. I wish someone from the company would have been honest instead of trying to make the sale because they would have gotten a bigger sale. The people across the street used them and are also not happy from what I understand. I can tell you that before this I usually skipped over reviews but I now I read them. Im sure the reply from the company wont be nice but Im ok with that.
I have used this company 4 maybe 5 times for fencing. Most recent was a home I flipped, their price was the best out of 4 different contractors. Their estimator showed up on time (other companies no showed) and explained each option and style of fence. Their installers did a great job and the follow-up was super. I would recommend this fence company for all your needs in Florida.A Great Fence also did a commercial job for my company and the project came in on time (as scheduled) and under budget. There are other fence companies around but dont waste your time. Or better yet get another estimate and A Great Fence will beat the price.Great work guys.

We have a fairly large lot for PSL (about an acre) and I had A Great Fence enclose about 2/3 of it. We went with a 5 foot galvanized chain link both for cost (almost 700 feet of fence) and the fact that I know I wont properly maintain a wood fence. From payment to completion was about 5 weeks total with a chunk of that waiting for the city to issue a permit and the utility locate to be done.The installers were there for roughly 4 days total which included a day of bobcat work to clear some of the property. 2 man crew. They were friendly and sociable when I approached them but otherwise didnt bother us one bit. There was a small miscommunication about how I wanted the gates installed but they made sure to speak up and ask when the arrangement struck them as illogical for the property. The fence seems sturdy and well constructed. One of the gates needed a small adjustment that was completely promptly once they were notified.It should be mentioned that they communicate very well via email as well as phone. This is unfortunately still a skill that many businesses seem reluctant to adapt even in 2016. My messages were promptly and intelligently answered.If I were to do this again Id use the same company. Id also reccomend them to anyone that asked. In fact I think I just did....

I had an appointment that was scheduled the day prior to the engagement because they could not give me one on my initial call days before. So as a customer I definitely showed flexibility. I was to be a new customer. The gentleman showed up on time, however, due to the fact my phone ringer was off and the gate to my community was closed (unusual, its normally open at that time) the gentleman left. Understandably. Twelve minutes later I called him back and asked if he could come back, he said no and he wasnt sure he could come back today at all. I said, its been twelve minutes, youve got to be kidding me! I told him, if you dont have the time to come back after twelve minutes then you obviously dont need my business. I could only imagine how difficult it would be to get them to come out and repair or fix something they may have done wrong. Im not saying avoid these folks, Im just saying think about the total service experience before you use them. I was ready to pay in cash. So many companies have forgotten that it is the CUSTOMER that pays them, not the other way around. Poor customer service.
Quality craftsmanship and we are happy with there work. We had a gate installed just over a year ago and its still holding up. Very good work and all is good. I would recomend to anyone.

The fence was installed on schedule with good workmanship, the calls and emails to the office were replied to in a timely manner and they are very concerned with your end satisfaction.
Once permits were secured, the fence was installed in a timely and professional manner. Matt and Jenna (our installers) were very knowledgeable and they both worked very hard to make sure every single measurement was spot on throughout the entire fence process. I would recommend this company and suggest that you request Matt and Jenna as your professional installers.

My wood fence was just installed by A Great Fence. The process was easy. The price was very reasonable and I had no issues throughout the process.
Not happy with them at all. I received a proposal back at the end of Nov. since their proposal had no expiration date I waited until after the holidays to purchase. When I requested to move forward, they told me they charge a processing fee for credit cards, and my price may still not be good. Once informed of this I called the office and the receptionist who must have never looked at a proposal before stated it was on the proposal that after 30 days it expires, but it is not! Then I found out it was the owner who was increasing the price, not a measly sales rep! My faith in this company decreased immediately! I would use another company! This one is all about money! Needless to say I am going with another company! I should of read the reviews before going with them! My advice to you is to take the reviews as NOT PLEASING EVERYONE, but a learning stone to do better service! And please if you are going to have an expiration date, you need to write them on your proposals and educate your receptionist better on paperwork!
Asked for a concrete fence, with wrought iron gate, was quoted $10k. 3 months down the road, they come to install it, telling me its an aluminum see though 4ft see through gate. I told them a concrete wall so we have privacy and no one can see us in the backyard....how does a see through aluminum sound like a concrete wall?....Check your contracts because to this company they think concrete wall=chain link fence....Beware!!!! Deposits are non-refundable. Not happy, and will be pursing legal action.Just to clarify:Company says we said aluminum fence, never have we everrrr said the word aluminum and the contracts were written very vague. Thats why we were shocked when they got ready to start putting up a fence, and we saw that it was aluminum....Plus, they said they dont put up concrete walls, however, their company on Google mentions they do concrete walls. So we wouldnt miss out on our large deposit, we had them put the aluminum fence (which they showed us pictures of only after this whole mess came about) at one of our rental properties, and instead went with a different fencing company to put up our concrete wall and it looks fabulous.
Everyone please ignore the recent negative comments. These are being written by another fence company that has too much time on there hands. Check the other reviews the same person has written and it will show the company writing the false reviews. Just check the number of permits issued every month and you will see the majority of customers go with A Great Fence and with good reason.
I had such a horrible experience with them. First off I needed a permit and fence repair so I made an appt. They forgot my appt until I called at 4:30 that day. They did get out to my house and gave me a bid on the permit, and a bid on the fence repair. I gave them a check for the permit. The permit was never gotten, and they didnt know where my check was to give it back to me. After a volley of calls that were never returned I finally hear they mailed it back. I still dont have it. I ended up calling A+ Fencing to give me am estimate, and A+ saved the day. A Great Fence gave me an estimate for fence repair with used material and us taking down the fence that was $600.00 more than A+ fencing with new material and A+ doing all the work. A Great Fence is anything but Great in my opinion.
Called these great folks after our 13 year old dog passed away. We were working on a purchase of a 9 month old to ease the depression of our 11 year old aussie (and ourselves). Breeder required us to have a fence before she would release her dog to us. Made a call, they responded immediately, came out and gave us a quote. Their quote was the best of three. Told them about our issue and they worked with us so quickly to get our fence completed so we could bring our new family member to our home. Cannot say enough nice things about everyone who works there! True customer service from very caring people!!!

We used this company to fence in my backyard in Martin county. I shopped every company in Port St. Lucie and Martin County and these guys were 30%-50% cheaper than all other companies. They also took care of the due diligence required for permitting that other companies did not. I had very minor defects after the installation, like nails popping off but nothing to complain about. They supplied me with a couple dozen extra fence boards for misc. uses. I would recommend this company.
Would not recommend this company, quality of product poor. When I brought up anything about quality issues to the owner, he always responded with some kind of excuse why it wasn’t his problem.Wood splitting as they were putting up the pickets, 10’ double gate sagging 2weeks later. No one coming out to verify that the job was done correctly and the quality of work. There are so many other things, you get the gist of it. The owner is more worried about drumming up business than Customercare.
Guy came out to fix our fence and broke a sprinkler line, came and told my husband he was gonna fix it the next day and a week later our grass was brown. We turned on our system to see what was wrong an come to find out it was never fixed. Called the company and was told its in the contract they dont fix what they break.... seriously? Also told me they arent licensed to fix sprinklers which you dont have to be to fix one pipe your not putting in a whole new system and if that was the case then every single person who needs to change out a sprinkler head would be at the city. I also told him if that was true he could always get an estimate and take it off allllllll the money we spent just for them to do the work. By the looks of the reviews it seems as if he just has alot of excuses for stuff instead of trying to make a customer happy and try to work with them to cover the issues so everyone is happy. Im also a business owner and I think its sad that this company doesnt take responsibility for their mistakes. I personally would never break something at someones house and walk away saying oh well to bad for you. The least the guy could have done is tell us he didnt fix it and cant so we had the chance to do so before our grass died. Owner asked me if anything was wrong with the fence, no nothing was wrong with the fence but that wasnt the issue.

We asked them to remove a gate that was part of our fence and install it in a different location. By doing this it would leave a hole in the fence and we asked that it be replaced with solid fence. On the contract it said remove and replace. We called to ensure they were going to put new fence where the gate was and the lady was rude. She said it obviously says that. When the day came to install the guys said the contract does not say to replace the gate. I also asked they call before the installation day so I could be there. They called when they were in my driveway. Not what I asked. They also broke my sprinkler lines in two different locations, poured concrete on top of it, and never mentioned it. When i asked them to do the job I expected in the first place they said it would be more money.
To whom it may concern:I am super happy with my new white beautiful PVC fence. The customer service and workmanship that Brian and his assistant ( I apologize I forgot his name) gave was 5 stars! They were both dedicated, hard workers who focused on detail and meeting the expectation of the customer. How they work in the outdoors in this extreme heat in south Florida is beyond my comprehension. From the start of requesting an estimate, to deciding your fence choice, to working with the office staff, the experience was beyond 5 stars. Dont look anywhere else because their prices are compatible or below the competition. Great Job!
We had so many issues with this company, it is hard to even enumerate. I should have known from the start, when I double checked with the city on the permit that I had paid for, only to find out that it was not done. Then, luckily I noticed that when they did get a permit, it was for a wood fence rather than pvc. Had I not noticed that day, we would have come home to a brown, wooden fence instead of the white, pvc one we had paid for. This mistake meant that we had to wait almost another month for them to order the materials we had paid for in the first place. They cut my cable and phone line. They erected it so far off of my property line that the sprinklers on either side are now outside of the fence and useless. They broke into my locked patio when they thought I wasnt home, so that they could plug in a radio and blast music. They left two enormous holes (4 ft deep--big enough to drop an entire sledgehammer down into) in my yard. The gate was installed so poorly that it is completely unusable. The materials are completely subpar, to the point that it is absolutely flimsy. The workers completed the job and that same day a neighbor commented to me that he was shocked at how poor the workmanship was...crooked, holes and destroyed lawn all over the place, cement all over the white pvc.Save yourself an enormous hassle--despite the positive and professional way the owner may present himself at the time of your estimate, know that it is absolutely no reflection of the quality of work that you will see in return.
Do not use this company. They may give you a good price, but after numerous complaints to them about the quality, we had to hire another company to come fix the issues their poor construction created. We found bags of cement they didnt use in the neighbors yard. We found over half of the post holes did not have cement in them. We had to reinforce the gate they installed. The owner came out 2 times and told us eveything was fine. It was not!You may have sent the concrete to the site, but it was not used! You did not see concrete in every post because we had to hire someone else to do it! The gate looks great now because we had to do work to it to make it stronger. Do not post lies in your response and we NEVER asked for anything free. Own up to your shoddy work and accept your people did shoddy work on a very large job. We paid $13,000 for subpar work on thats on YOU.
Buyer beware!! A great fence installed a fence for us in September 2018. A company was hired by a great fence to mark out all utility lines. However, A utility line was still hit. The company with the damage line came out and did the repair. A few months later my husband and I received a lawsuit in the mail. At first I thought this would be no big deal because a great fence carries liability insurance. I later received an email stating that the contract says that they are not responsible for utility wire damage. They also informed me they do their very best not to hit utility lines. I was showed pictures by the utility company of where a great fence dug. Careful, my butt. They dug right over the obvious to marked line. My husband and I are now responsible for a $2100 bill.

I am extremely happy with the work done by A Great Fence. The installers were courteous and addressed any concerns I had. They had the best price of the three estimates I received. They faced extremely bad afternoon weather so they had to quit early, but competed the job, removing the old fence and installing a new one. One thing that would complete the job, get rid of the old fence piled at the road in front of my house. Thats on the City of PSL Solid Waste not AGF. I just have to wait my turn.That being said, I did review the negative posts before I made the decision to go with A Great Fence. A few things that I would like to mention.I am in a business where we have to call for underground utility locates. The locators will not locate sprinkler systems that are on private property or any private installed lines. Underground telephone or cable lines that run to a home may not be located because its easier to repair them if they are damaged. One thing that I do know is that pressure treated wood will warp, twist and split over time. That is not the installers fault. Because of the work I do, I receive similar complaints and try to make things right. Sometimes it doesnt matter what you do, you cant make everyone happy.
We needed a fence to enclose our back yard for a safe place for our son to play. 3 years later no broken boards, our two gates work just as the day they were installed. We originally took three estimates for the project, Darrick beat the lowest by $100. Very satisfied with both the work and the time line for completion. We have used A Great Fence in the past and has a great experience. For the last 2 1/2 years my daughter has been battling cancer and is now home from st. Jude with no evidence of disease. Make a wish has granted her wish for a backyard oasis. After starting the project we were informed by our HOA that the patio would require a decorative fence. At this point they we’re unable to grant funds for the fence. After not being able to work while my daughter was in treatment financially this would have put us in a difficult situation. I reached out to Darrick at A Great Fence and he decided to do this project at no cost to our family. The fence look as amazing as all the people involved in making this happen. My experience with Great Fence has been amazing, its been a couple of weeks now since my fence has been put up. Through the horrible weather we had the 2 installers were very professional always on time and work through the rain we had the past 2 and half weeks and the finished product is amazing. I am definitely glad that we decided to go with Great Fence in PSL Florida
Horrible experience from start to finish and even over a year later. We paid nearly $4000 for a horrible fence installation job done by inexperienced unprofessional people who busted our water line, cut our Direct TV cable, etc.. The list goes on. We have tried multiple times over the course of a year to have issues resolved such as gate and latch issues and have been lied to, no call no shows after appointments made with owner who explains hes so busy. We have expressed our concerns for our young children with the faulty gates and latches. They dont care, just want to take your money. I have documentation and proof along with video and pictures. I have contacted the Better Business Bureau, WPTF Consumer Watchdog and am meeting with an Attorney tomorrow and I would advise all who have been wronged by these crooks to do the same.
I had a deadline for my fence so it would be installed before going out of town, for my dog sitter. They werent sure if they could make it but did, in record time.

I recently moved to Tequesta, Florida from New York and needed a fence immediately. As a retired teacher I look for perfection. A Great Fence was highly recommended by friends. Darrick was extremely organized and competent while executing an array of fences for my property. Upon his expertise a fence was designed.The time, installation and completion of the fence was done in an exemplary manner. I feel safe and secure now that the fence is installed. I have recommended A Great Fence to other neighbors and they were one hundred percent satisfied.

3 different quotes in less than a year. Last time we were told they would honor and when I got there to pay the price had changed again. Never saw a company that increases their prices by $500 every time u get a quote. Use a diff company if u dont want the headache.
Good, not greatBest price out of the companies who provided an estimate, handled my HOA paperwork with no issues, completed the job within the timeframe promised, and a nice looking product at the end of the day.That said, you will sign a contract that clearly states they are not responsible for damage to your irrigation system. They will remind you of this when they dig straight through your irrigation lines. They will remind you again after they cover the broken pvc pipes back up with dirt and you have to figure out under which pile to start digging. They won’t apologize. They won’t leave you with the impression that they took care in avoiding this issue from happening in the first place. Especially after you flag all of the sprinkler heads and one of the lines they break is just inches from the sprinkler. They are not responsible.I would have also appreciated more careful attention to the way my yard was left at completion of the job. Attention to detail goes a long way, it starts with a rake.———RE: Thank you for your response — the installers called me to let me know they damaged the irrigation lines, and that I should call my HOA to fix them...so they were aware. After they were covered up, I called the office and the installers were supposed to call me back to let me know which area in the yard to look for the broken sprinklers...I never got a call back.All good, just be more careful. I didn’t feel that was the case in this instance, so I am hesitant to refer business moving forward. That’s a shame considering the size of the development and all the ongoing new home construction.

Had fence installed and property marked for underground utilities. During install the workers clearly dig right over where the painted marking were and cut a cable line. They did not notify anyone and continued the job. Months later I am being sued by the cable company for the repair cost. AGreat fence is refusing to stand by their work! Stating they are not responsible for underground utilities. Ummm HELLO this is your job!! And you dig hole right where it’s marked, and you did not notify anyone when you clearly cut the cable. Stay away!!!The office staff were very rude after this happened. And we’re of nooooo help!!Yes the fence part was done mostly correctly, however your whole business mainly encounters digging holes, and the wire was not “nicked” it was cut! Yes I didn’t know until later and neither did your company when I received a bill from the cable company for the repair! However your installers could not miss a main wire that they cut when digging a hole! And your company refused to even try to help resolve the situation that you created by digging on top of marked lines!!!!!!

We recently had two gates replaced on our wooden fence. Although we had several issues primarily with an incompetent installer, all were resolved through the professionalism of Derrick. He sent a crew to redo the gates and another gentleman to fix the height of one gate. We would not hesitate to use them again.

Fence went up okay but the gate this company installed wont open fully. Might I add the original gate worked and the installer was told to change it. I had this company out to repair and the gate still wont open fully. Might I add they lost the 1st deposit check I gave them.
Overall a great job! Removal of old fence was excellent. Installation was excellent.
Uses substandard materials, which will deteriorate and leave your fence falling down.when brought to their attention, they will try to get money out of you, as opposed to making it right. Just wait a while....your connections will begin to disintegrate and gates will fall off.
Had a safety railing and trash enclosure installed, great job done and friendly employees.

On March 3 we went to his office to hire his services after working on his estimate. That day they told us that the installation would take 6 to 8 weeks. At 8 weeks we contacted them because we had not had any news, at that time they said that they had had a delay in the delivery of the materials and that they would be receiving them the second week of May, that in that amount they would call us to schedule the installation, I wrote to them several times because my family and I have postponed a trip due to this matter, they never took care of me so I wrote to them to know something about the installation, they told me that they had already received the material and that they would be communicating with me in 2 weeks to schedule the installation. I told them that it seemed disrespectful to me that they do not keep time and that I needed an exact date this week, to which they did not respond again. We feel very disappointed with this service and we urgently need the fence. I would like a prompt installation or my money back.

2022-05-11From start to finish, this company was TOP NOTCH! Victor came out for the estimate and was very professional and personable. Everyone in the office that I dealt with was very helpful and courteous. When the installers came out, Rick, Steve and Rob were excellent! They had the whole job done in under 4 hours and it looks great! They were a great crew to have on site! I would recommend A Great Fence to anyone needing to fence in their yard!

2022-08-08A Great Fence went to repair our neighbors fence and entered our home without our permission, and damaged our property while we were not home. Our property is owned by a Disabled Veteran, and was purchased using a VA home loan, which still needs to be paid back. Thousands of dollars in additional loans to repair the home inside and out, including the landscape, which was extremely costly was also added to this loan in order to create a livable home.We spoke to Derrick who says he was the owner of A Great Fence, and despite us sending him pictures of the damages, he outright refused to repair with new sod in the large area his installers damaged. During the damages, our neighbor asked them about repairing it, and the neighbor said they told him, it will grow back. Our landscaper did what he could to clean up what he could, but the area needed sod from the damage, because it is St. Augustine grass. When contacted and asked to repair the damaged area, the owner (Derrick) suggested seeding, raking and waiting for the rain. (No landscaping company recommends seeding St. Augustine lawn. Additionally, the lawn was just sodded on May 11th, 2022.)Derrick / (A Great Fence) second solution besides seeding, raking, and waiting for rain to let the grass grow back, was to take him and A Great Fence to Court. He even had the audacity to flat out state that he will lie to the Judge about the repairs if we also took him to Court. We even requested the repair before contacting the police. We gave A Great Fence a chance to repair the damages, and informed Derrick that we would need to report the damages to the police if they refuse to repair the damages. Derrick still didi not care and asked us to give the police his cellphone number.We had to file a report and had the police come out to witness the property damage. Derrick is a horrible, manipulative, and unscrupulous individual and using his business to cause damage while not attending to the liabilities should be illegal. With our experience with Derrick and A Great Fence, we have no doubt about how deceptive Derrick is and how far he will go to avoid responsibility for damages caused by his company. Preying on homeowners by either attacking their character or threatening to lie even when evidence is presented of damages his company causes is extremely disgusting. To anyone reading this review, know this and remember well, any person or company that steals from Disabled Veterans or make their lives more difficult for them and their families is not a person or company you want to work with. When you take from a Veteran or their families and threaten to use the legal system to place pressure on them, you do not deserve to have a business in a country that Veterans serve to keep safe from these types of predators and predatory practices.

2022-08-02A great fence did an amazing job. They started off by giving us the best price for the quality material and workmanship. We chose the vinyl fence and it was no cheap panel from retail stores, this is quality, commercial grade vinyl. Everyone was very professional and courteous from the start. Victor came over and gave us a great estimate, Krystal at the office was awesome, she got all paperwork and schedule taken care of in a timely manner. Of course my hat goes off to Mark G. and Tim B. my installers, the guys are professional and very knowledgeable, they understand the customer and made the installation a great experience, they address our concerns and worked with us during the building process and finally Ill like to acknowledge Darrick the owner who call as a courtesy to inquire about my experience with the job. In all me and my family are extremely happy with our new fence and we highly recommend a Great fence and definitely Mark and Tim as our preferred installers, the guys rock!

2021-09-23I will never use this company ever again. I will even never ever refer this company to my worse enemy. I’ve been patiently waiting for $4700 chain link job since April 2021. I understand there’s a shortage everywhere, but I need what my money is worth. Those 2 workers take a week to get the job to where that I’m concerned. My fence still not done. Hopefully they can fix it before things getting ugly. Guys, if you need something done, please use another company.Update: you said customers were happy with the walked through… customers were never happy with your work. You even said everything looks great but you FAILED INSPECTION!!! Really??? Stop lying! You guys need to learn about “CUSTOMER SERVICE”.

2022-01-24I am very happy with my new fence. The lumber is of excellent quality and the gate has a galvanized brace which is great. The installer knew exactly what he was doing, laid everything out perfectly and it was done in no time. The staff at the office is very friendly and helpful and always answered all of my questions. I did have two other estimates and they beat both of their estimates. Their ad does not lie. And also they offer a great warranty which other fence companies do not have. I would definitely recommend them to any of my friends.

2022-06-29The installer was amazing! He worked non-stop. The one and only thing that made him stop was the thundering and rain. Delivery of material was on schedule. Installation was on schedule. I’m very happy with their service, from the office staff to Victor, to the installer, to the finished product. My wooden fence is exceptional. I love it! I would recommend their service to anybody!!!

2021-05-19I recently had a fence installed by this company. My neighbor had it done a few months ago and was done in 1 day so I figured they would be perfect. Well, I was wrong. Yes tge fence is now done and he did a good job.. but during the process was horrible. He left a mess! Empty concrete bags everywhere. He took over a week to finish. He left the nail gun and air compressor plugged in and on in the middle of my sons toys and an open box of nails. When I spoke to the owner he said he wouldnt deal with my petty complaints on a holiday weekend (mothers day) well I also had family over for mothers day and had to clean up this mans mess and remove the tools from my sons play area. And had to wait till Monday to talk to anyone.. I was very upset with how they did not address my issues and the company was very unprofessional and disrespectful. The issues were not petty in my eyes it was the safety of my kids and the inconvenience of cleaning up everything. I am settled up and paid and the fence is done but people need to know that this company doesnt care about the job they just want your money. Also I still have not gotten a call from them to apologize or anything. Just beware if you decide to call this place, be ready to clean up after them and be talked to disrespectfully. I paid alot of money for this and waited a long time. They are lucky im nice and only chose to write a review.

2022-02-22Worst customer service I have ever experienced. They really dont care about you or if they get your business. I have been waiting over a month for an estimate and the one person there that does it basically told me to go somewhere else cause he is so busy.I feel sorry for the representative who came here he was very nice and knowledgeable but will never get his commission because the office staff is terrible.No I do not have you confused with anyone else. I asked for a revision to that estimate and have been emailing Derrick who has been unable to follow up on it. If you want dates and times I can provide them.
