I absolutely love Affordable Homes Crestview! The assistance we get from the staff is always the greatest. Today Joel helped us, he is extremely knowledgeable, friendly and kind. If you’re in the market for a mobile home, in Northwest Florida, you have to check this place out. They have best homes at the greatest prices. No matter what your budget is, they have something just right for you.
Beware! I closed on my modular home purchase with Affordable Homes in May 2021. Two months after we closed, Affordable Homes came to me saying that I had to either pay another $26,000 or choose another, less expensive home. Jamie had already spoken with my lender before calling me to get more money after closing to make sure I would qualify for the additional money. First of all, we closed on a real estate deal. There is no coming back asking for more money. There was not an escalation clause. I ended up losing the house that I had hoped to have and closed on in May. I am again looking for a place to live, nearly a year after I started this process due to their unethical business practices.
Stefanie was absolutely AMAZING from start to finish. It was a wild ride and we had some bumps, but she always handled them FLAWLESSLY and made sure we got back on track quickly and efficiently. We purchased the Maverick and we are BEYOND excited to build our legacy. Thanks Affordable Homes! Stefanie is a gem!
These people made me put down a $500 deposit had an appraisal and survey ordered before even getting me approved they will not give me my money back it is a big money scam I went three months of waiting for closing to be told that they couldn’t verify my income that was given to them they avoided me and refuse to give me my money back do not give them service.
We just bought the Greystone by Destiny Homes. We worked with Stephanie at Affordable homes. She is outstanding and very professional! Answers all questions and walks you through the process. If you are looking into a home or are ready to buy one, go see Stephanie! You wont be disappointed.
Joel was very friendly and extremely helpful when I went in looking for a new mobile home.I had been to another business before, looking and was definitely misled about the market and availability of new homes. Joel answered all of my questions and provided me with follow up contact info in case I had more questions. I already knew they carried a quality product so with great customer service, you could not ask for more.
We are extremely happy to buy our cozy home from Affordable Homes. The company is so welcoming they make you feel like family. They will help you through the process from start to finish. Our sales person was Stefanie Odom. She is awesome! She helped us through every step of the way. Our communication was constant and anytime we would call with questions she would answer right away.Stefanie, thank you for being there for us. If you are looking for a home, visit Affordable Homes it’s family oriented. And don’t forget to ask for our Stefanie!!!!
Jamie was an amazing customer service representative. She was knowledgeable, kind, happy, and patient. She and Joel took time to help me find a home outside of Florida finding other builders with affordable homes. They were a breath of fresh air, of which one never sees any longer. Thank you for your great team at Affordable. I will send many referrals. Blessings and gratitudeCheri Meyer
My family and I were displaced due to Hurricane Michael, and we have looked at a lot of places, but nothing compares to the overall quality offered at Affordable Homes Crestview. The staff there is amazing. The homes are amazing. We worked closely with Mr. Chris, and Mr. Randall, they were very knowledgeable and delivered the best customer service. You can really tell that they actually care about their customers and really go the extra mile. Would highly recommend to anyone even considering purchasing a home!
This is on a home my boyfriend bought from affordable homes, he waited way to long to get the home ,he made 3 house payments before they even got the house to his property..then it had no stove a couple more weeks..then he made a list of somethings wrong with it to much to go into but he bought it on oct.2020 and delivered feb.2021 now its June 3021 no one has even contacted him to come repair all the things that are wrong with it.. sorry sloppy sales people..wont be telling anyone to go there. Still waiting
Jamie is beyond amazing! This whole process has been a breeze because of her keeping in touch and walking us through every step. I came to Affordable because of a bad experience with another company and wished I had found them sooner. The only reason I didn’t go there first was because they didn’t have the model we wanted but low and behold they actually made my home exactly like I wanted! I highly recommend Affordable to everyone who is thinking of purchasing a manufactured home. Thank you for making our family’s dream come true!
I have been putting off this process for a few years now. I finally decided it was time. I had heard great things about Affordable Homes Crestview and just to say I was pleased would be a massive understatement. Brandon and Becky were both incredible. I couldn’t have asked for better folks to trust in helping me with the biggest purchase of my life to date. They were not so friendly and knowledgeable. I am now confident that I made the right decision.
We have been shopping for a new home for awhile now. We are needing something to fit our family of 7!When we walked into Affordable homes I knew this was going to be the place we are going to buy from when that time comes( which will be very soon)! Jaime and owner stood in the office and talked to us and answering all of the crazy questions we had! The customer service is out of the world! That is awesome! Jamie did a wonderful job showing us multiple homes that day! Thank you for helping us decided where we want to buy our new home in the next few months! Keep up the AWESOME job it really makes you stand out from the others!Vicki and Justin Roberts
Being new to this area we were looking for a manufactured home, we went to affordable Homes CrestviewWas greeted by Jamie with smiles and great attitude. She is quite knowledgeable with there homes on what is standard and upgrades. Jamie took the time to find out what we could spend and what we would liked to build our new home.We have looked at other manufacturers and found that a lot of the upgrades were standard with affordable homesShe cares about her client’s in making sure they are getting what they want.We would highly recommend affordable homes Crestview Jamie treaded us like family.
Since hurricane Michael my Husband and I began the process of purchasing a new home through affordable mobile since our old one was destroyed. I can’t say enough good things about affordable mobile homes. Our story has been long and insane but nothing of the bad stuff had to do with affordable mobile homes it was stuff of the bay county. Affordable mobile homes has gone above and beyond trying to help our family get home. I have worked along side with Chris, Debra and Phil mostly during these months but everyone there has been outstanding! I highly recommend them.Plus on top of it while every one else was jacking there prices up after the hurricane, affordable mobile gave bay county residents $5000 off of a home of our choice. We searched multiple states and city’s for the one we wanted and affordable was the only one to give it to us at the rate we could afford. I LOVE THEM! Thank you so much for helping us on our journey to go HOME
Joel A. showed us around several homes, was very straight forward about the price and the adjustment prices. Was able to answer every question we had. He was so friendly and nice, we told him what type/size homes we were interested in and he showed us exactly what we wanted. This is an awesome place, very straight forward, very very good customer service!!!
This company absolutely blew customer service out of the water. They even said they would do whatever it took to help us find a floor plan that would fit our family size of 9. We brought them a floor plan we loved from someone else and they said they could build it too with their builder though. We loved the fact that there was no pressure to buy and they were able to answer all of our questions. They gave us ideas to help us in the long run of this home purchase. I would highly recommend this company before any other.
We love the team members at Affordable Homes! We first went there almost 3 years ago- and we knew there was something really special about this business! The night we stopped in to look and finally purchase, Jamie assisted us and showed us everything we wanted to see. The next morning, we got approved and ordered our home. The process was fairly smooth- I write honest reviews so I’m saying there were some glitches, holidays, weather, scheduling, and a medical issue that took us out of state for 4 months that happened during our finishing- but truly, everything was handled very well. Jamie was ALWAYS there for us- I had a few meltdowns during this time, and she guided me through them with grace and compassion. We literally came home from a 4 months hospital stay and spent the first night in our new home. Jamie went above and beyond in every aspect. Our home is gorgeous! Well built. It’s every thing she and Brandon said it would be. The quality of home they sell is beyond our expectation! We are so in love with our home! The Affordable Homes team is terrific to work with. Every question is answered, there’s no crazy hidden fees, or underhanded dealing- they are kind and honest. Every time we go to the office we are greeted by the staff, like we are family!Thank you Jamie and Affordable Homes! You really set the bar! ❤️❤️
I can not say enough about this company! My husband and I purchased a home and just moved in recently. From day one Kevin was so helpful, informative, professional and dedicated, and all that without being the least bit pushy. Once we decided on the home we wanted, Debra was unbelievable on keeping me informed, answering all my questions and just always being on top of everything. The home is beautiful, we are beyond excited and are so happy to have our dream home. I have heard so many bad experiences from friends who purchased from other companies, and I was so worried about how the whole process would go, ultimately I had nothing to worry about. If a problem arises, they are right there to get you through it without any stress. Brandon and Randall are very knowledgeable and do everything they can to make things go quickly, and correctly. Thank you so much to all of you for helping us move into our dream home!!
Very good customer service. Joel Awl was our sales person and sent me all the information I requested the very next morning in regards to the mobile homes we looked at on their lot. This is the way to do business and lets people know you want their business. Thank you
We shopped everywhere but finally found the home we wanted at Afordable Homes Crestview. We bought the Legend. Our seller Stefanie was extremely helpful and kept us updated throughout the process. We definately recommend stopping by to check out their homes and ask for Stefanie!!!
They get one star simply because they were professional during the sale. Debra went WAY beyond the call of duty during the sale. The third party companies they used in our home sale took FOREVER. The title work took 6 weeks and the survey had to be re-done four times. My BIGGEST recommendation is that you get EVERYTHING in writing from the appliances to the EXACT appearance of upgrades like appliances, drywall, and windows. When we ordered our place we asked the sales person for a larger fridge with an ice maker, an optional window that we specifically asked if it opened, and drywall without strips. We got the smallest fridge with no ice maker, a giant widow in the bathroom that does NOT open, and we have Ranch styled drywall that HAS strips. I tired to explain the conversations surrounding this to the owner and I was told what was and was not said (he was not present for those conversations) and that I DID walk through the model home I purchased. I did not, they had just sold their model and we had to order off a plan.. Mt advice is get EVERYTHING in writing because at the end of the day all they want to say is, Well I have your folder here and you ordered it. That is true but I ordered upgrades based on what they told me they would be.. In addition my home has many issues and the manufacturer is not wanting to replace items, just patch them. Affordable has not been the advocate they professed to be after the sale.
Joel was excellent and made the entire process extremely easy; to not only understand the legal jargon, but move forward with confidence! I would rate more than 5 stars if I could.Very great about staying in contact and answering any questions, very knowledgeable. Would reccomend
WHEWWWWWWWWW! Yesterday was such an AMAZING DAY! From the time I arrived to the site, I could feel the southern hospitality and the Love. It is such a beautiful thing whenever people take time out of THEIR day just to cater and accommodate you and your needs. Spending time with customers is what makes your business a complete success. I am just in awe that I was never rushed that he was delighted to take his time with me and map out the different styles of homes. Working with people like this is such a blessing. I pray that the Lord continues to shower this company with blessing or pure prosperity. Thank you so much for everything and your time.
I recently bought a single wide from Affordable Homes, and I can say the experience was overwhelming positive. Ms. Jamie Moak made the experience positively painless and was in contact with me every step of the way, and very respectful of the hours I work (I work overnight at a Correctional Facility). Ms. Jamie showed me my options and found the home that was right for me, and assisted me in the entire proces . I even got to meet the owner of the business and he assisted me in the purchase of my new home as well. I would strongly recommend purchasing your next mobile home from them, for the experience was absolutely first rate. Especially if to happen to do business with Ms. Jamie, shes absolutely first rate.
We did not purchase anything. But we did enjoy our experience. They were not overbearing and in our face , stalking us around the lot ; they let me a d my husband look on our own but answered any and all questions we had. Every staff member we walked to was kind and courteous .I just wish the inside of the homes listed the prices like a competitor of theirs but I liked how they labeled the homes from the outside ! So I knew which I was walking into.
Im not the person to write reviews, but for affordable homes I have to. We owned property and were searching for a home to put on it. We didn’t shop around to much but we made the choice to take a look at affordable homes. I am so glad we did! We just closed today and now Onto the construction process. Mr. Chris, mr. Brandon and Mrs. Debra have literally been the best to work with! They have explained every step of the process and has always encouraged us to call with any sort of questions. They have made sure to address all concerns we may have and Not to mention the best prices around. This has been the best experience so far! I would highly recommend affordable to anyone who is looking for a mobile home!
We viewed the homes and were impressed with the quality and their unique details. These homes are definitely a great alternative to a larger high maintenance house, and they offer financing. The sales staff were friendly and not aggressive. It was a pleasure to speak with them.
We searched for months and miles to find a Destiny home before we landed at Affordable Homes. Kevin was the first sales associate, in our search, to take us seriously, listen to our needs and patiently worked through all of our questions and concerns. The closing process, with Debra was as stressless! We had an unusual set up to overcome, but Brandon and Sandys crew made it work! Weve been in our home since April and are as thrilled today as we were the day it arrived. Weve recommended Affordable Homes to everyone! Thank you.
The overall care, thoroughness, dedication, knowledge, and pride Affordable Homes of Crestview has for providing a quality product and addressing customers’ needs and overall experience is the best I’ve seen in any line of work for a very long time. If you are in the market for a manufactured home, Affordable Homes of Crestview will meet the needs of your family, hands down, for the best bang for your buck!Toward the end of 2015, my wife and I decided that we wanted to realign our finances in a way that would provide us more leverage to enjoy our lives. The most worthwhile action we capitalized on was purchasing a manufactured home. We determined our key component would be finding a home for the best value. The overall structural and construction quality of a home was just as important to us as the cosmetic quality. After months of researching building codes, manufactures, and determining which manufactures go above and beyond minimum codes, we wound up at Affordable Homes of Crestview. When we arrived, we were greeted by Kevin who began showing us around. Immediately, we were relieved to have a sales associate who knew the industry and could distinguish their product (this was not our first location). He thoroughly explained the superior structural and mechanical integrity that each home had to offer while we looked around. Essentially, we came to realize that Affordable Homes of Crestview offered us a phenomenal value by providing a short-list of the most renowned selection of homes, with the most favorable floor plans and design, entirely from suppliers who have superior manufacturing practices and customer service.Once we picked our home, we were pleasantly surprised at the extensive list of options and colors that were available for customization. Having physical examples in their office made this process easy. In addition, Affordable Homes of Crestview was able to coordinate a few minor changes we requested with the manufacturer. Upon signing the paperwork, Debra took charge and did a great job guiding us through the loan processing and closing phase. I tend to be a little rough around the edges, so even though this process was different than what my wife and I were traditionally accustomed to, I was thoroughly impressed with professionalism and dedication from both Debra and Randall by making this as seamless as possible. Our home delivery went smooth with no problems. The subcontractor, which Affordable Homes of Crestview utilized, was in constant contact with me, alleviating any possible issue that would delay our delivery in terms of site prep and permitting. Once we received our CO from the county, Chip was there to facilitate initiating utilities into the home, check for any immediate issues, and create an initial punch-out. Skirting and steps were scheduled and executed in a timely manner. Toward the end of the designated punch-out period, he revisited us to ensure that everything was still copacetic. In addition to a few minor touch-ups, he submitted the appropriate punch-out items to the manufacturer through Daniel. Daniel coordinated the designated repairs with the manufacturer, ensuring our needs were addressing in an acceptable and timely manner.
I wanted to write sooner but we are still in the process. The Armer family wants to thank the TEAM at Affordable Homes for making our dream a reality. From the beginning we knew that we were in the hands of a well run company. Chris our sales rep was wonderful from day 1 and gave us the one thing that we asked for during the process and thats transparency. Debra was a god send and was available every step of the way. We felt right at home every time we came in and Randall and Brandon were always there to answer any questions and were very professional and efficient. Were days away from being able to enjoy our new Partriot model but they wont give it to us until its perfect the production manager Phil says. Uhhhgggg!!! Im wishing that they werent such perfectionists at this point but we wouldnt expect anything less at this point. Well keep you posted Google but as far as the Armers are concerned, 5 stars for Affordable Homes! Thank you all again.Feeling Blessed
Let me be the first to say that I am not always an easy person to deal with when it comes to making a purchasing decision, but I really appreciate all the patience that came from Brandon and the whole team at affordable homes. Im not gonna go into along drawn out story but I will tell you our credit was not anywhere even close to where it needs to be and we like alot of people are on a strict budget but through the affordable homes team and the grace of god we were able to make it a reality. Their patience and professionalism made this a much easier ordeal. Without them and most importantly god the owning of our new home would not have been possible. I would definitely recommend going to see them if your planning on purchasing a home in the future. Thank you Brandon and Randall.Sincerely,Mark and Tammy Johnson
Friendly staff that was very informative. The staff was up front and honest without being pushy and pressuring for a sale. They offered information on locations in the area/state that are options on where to locate the home after purchase. If you are looking to purchase a manufactured home, make this one of the places you stop, they will treat you right.
I looked at a lot of places but nothing compared to what I seen at Affordable Homes, Duanne is amazing! Their homes are amazing. The best place to buy a home from. If you go there ask for Duanne. He is so easy to work with and goes out of his way to help you. He is the best ever. I would recommend Affordable Homes.
Absolutely a 0, the worst experience of our lives closed in April HEARD NOTHING form them until August when contractor informed of home was on property. Lie after Lie moved in, in December.Communication was 0 to none rude, hateful people. Again MORE LIES and after you move in you cant forget it.It took them 8 months to complete punch list and omg what a Sh#t show.My advice is just DONT. OF COURSE THEY ARE NICE TRYING TO GET YOUR MONEY.LYNN WELCH
Im not one to leave reviews but I was amazed by this company. Ranch USA Homes really worked hard to get me in a new mobile home. I had challenging credit to say the least and because of my credit I was turned down by multiple banks. Ranch USA Homes never gave up on me and fought to get me into a home. It did not happen over night and I would be lying if I said my patience wasnt tested with the bank, but Im in my home today because of them. After the home was finished, the owner of the company came out to meet us and go over all of my warranties, they are really great people. This was a huge step for me because I am a single father and I was really trying to get my kids in a nice place.
The first time my wife and I visited affordable homes of Crestview we were very impressed with the friendliness of the staff and the time taken to answer all of our questions. We very much feel comfortable and look forward to working with affordable homes to purchase our new home .
We havent decided yet to purchase a mobile home;but so far these guys were really wonderful compared to all the other places we went. I felt like they really listened to what we were looking for. It was worth the drive from Panama City, Fl for sure. The quality of little things like cabinets, stainless steel, finished walls, molding etc...all for the same price as other places we looked at. Plus, if you check the web for complaints, you wont find any, unlike the other big seller of mobile homes in our area. The owner/salesman were incredibly knowlegeable about how these things are built including being hurricane aproved for the wind in our area. I left feeling like these guys believe in what they are doing and actually care that you dont get a piece of junk. If I were to buy today-this is the place, hands down(and we have been to 5 dealerships).
Mr.Chris was very knowledgeable and helpful with regards to my questions about the manufactured home industry. Being a person whos wishing to finally enter the world of home ownership, having a point of contact whos not pushy and willing to be patient with me are points that will make me want to return. Thank you.
Affordable homes had me and my wife set up and ready to move in our 15 acres with no hassle. Randall,Kevin and Brandon are truly looking out for there customers and arent just strangers after the sale. I needed 1/2 acre cleared ,septic ,well, and electricity to make this our home sweet home and also 100ft of Rock layed down for a drive way .With there connections I was able to have all of this done with ease .So if you and your family or spouse are looking to get a mobile home I would not think twice about whether Clayton or family home center ,Affordable homes is the way to go.
This business has some great owners with true honest values. The small selection of homes on their lot are the most beautiful designs in the area. Perfect for customizing whatever you have in mind for your home. We are in the works to get our first home from them early next year.
We purchased our Destiny home in Sept 2014. From the time of installation the ac unit never worked properly. Affordable Homes aka King Ranch USA sent the ac tech out several times with in the first few weeks of install and the issue was never resolved. So when winter hit we didnt need the ac anymore, so the problem falsely appeared rectified. Come spring when we needed the ac again we immediately experienced the same problem of freezing. With multiple parts changed, and added. Now while all this was going on we are assuming they are reporting the issues to the manufacturer as it was warranty work, however this was never done. So now it is MID JULY and the hottest we have seen, or maybe how it feels since our only ac is box fans. The manufacturer refused to replace the unit. Now we are going on 3 weeks of no ac in the hottest part of summer, and after 10 failed attempts to fix the unit, their AC tech send s a 3rd party company to repair the unit for an air flow test. What ever they did lasted about 24 hours and the unit froze again on the hottest day of summer last week that we had a heat advisory. Finally after making several attempts to speak to brandon or randall, i made a last ditch attempt via email and tell them I want this unit removed or i want a refund... and no surprise... no contact again. Because the insane heat for 3 weeks in this house and not wanting to go to a hotel, we decided to have a new unit installed by a reputable AC company that we had to pay for out of our pockets. Funny the day after I do, randal decides to email me 5 days later from my contact and say he is working on it... lol yes you have been for 8 months. But we no longer need you to work on anything other than a refund. And as of this time we still have their broken unit on the side of our house, no refund, but at least a GREAT ac unit that we had installed by a reputable company, that we are still currently paying for.If you purchase a home at Affordable Homes, my family highly recommends just purchase the home, and find your own ac contractor and water contractor, as after they collect your money, they have shown they just dont care, i think 8 months and them allowing this to go on so long says it all. And when you have to result in taking things to court, it reiterates the fact that they have no feelings at all after they collect your cash.
Was there two days ago on Saturday.Duane said the houses were unlocked because he was the only one there. That was untrue. Got back to the sales office and there was someone else helping another family. Duane couldnt or wouldnt answer our questions and made us feel unwelcome and basically rushed us out. Not a good way to win customers.
I highly recommend this business as I have worked with Kevin and find it a wonderful experience. His professionalism, knowledge and willingness to answer ever question was truly refreshing. Kevin responds immediately to my phone calls, emails and texts and is truly dedicated to the customer.
Will NOT do business there . The person, who did not intriduce himself, lacked professionalism and common courtesy, as well as needed an attitude adjustment. This person, whom from a colleague, learned his name is Gary is also very unobservant. Have a knee injury and he sends me by myself to climb up an unstable stepladder to go look inside a home. When i went in, was ready to do business. This company should find people to reoresent them well. Not this guy. Does not deserve even 1 star in my opinion
My husband, Randy, and I are RBLSetUp, We work closely with the ever busy, staff of professionals at Affordable Homes Crestview to install their homes for their numerous, satisfied customers. With the increasing home sales at Affordable Homes Crestview we are looking forward to increasing our volume of work and building our relationship with Affordable Homes Crestview.
They deserve no stars. These people tell you what you wanna hear and will tell you lies.. They are quick.to get that deposit from you and will tell you what you wanna hear and then when things dont go the way they promised they arent there to help they will keep your deposit and send u on your way with out your new home. I was lied to multiple times and then these 2 faced people kept my money . STAY AWAY FROM THESE LIARS AND SCAMMERS . THEY ARE TRASH. ILL NEVER CONSIDER DOING BUSINESS WITH THEM EVER....

2022-02-06Buyers beware! We were so excited to start the process on buying our home. We are brand new to Florida and have a 4 year old son. We started the process in September, working with Stefanie. She was great at first. She worked hard on getting the sale of our house. She told us at closing she would hold our hand through the whole process. That in fact did not happen. After closing things got bad. She stopped communicating nicely. Anytime I would call the office she would immediately get an attitude in her voice. She gave me wrong information numerous times. She sent all of the contractors to me with no guidance from her. She told me that it was easier for me to deal with it all, because she takes numerous vacations a year. Any concern I brought up to her about a contractor, she disregarded and listened to whatever the contractor said. The last month or so I have had a hard time even getting her to reply to my emails. It seems like once she got the sale, we no longer mattered to her. This process has been so incredibly stressful and difficult. Something that should be fun and exciting. It’s very unfortunate. We have told several people who are in the market for a mobile home, to avoid affordable at all costs. Highly do not recommend.Kaitlyn cleveland

2022-05-03First of all, let me say that I do not like salespeople. Whether it be car sales, insurance sales or in this case, manufactured housing sales, if I could conduct every such transaction totally on-line, I would be ecstatic. However, I have to say that Stefanie Odom has softened me quite a bit, in my attitude regarding salespeople. Stefanie has been extremely helpful throughout the entire selection, financing and closing processes. My wife and I had very specific ideas about how we wanted our new home to be. We requested changes to almost every standard option in our selection of The Yellowstone. When I requested a change to the electrical system, she wasnt sure whether it was possible, but she immediately got me an answer from the factory. There were many non-standard features we requested, and she handled each one of them without batting an eye. We own our own land, so we didnt have that to be concerned about. She arranged the land clearing and septic services very expeditiously. She was also VERY upfront in letting us know that the factory is currently backlogged, and it could take up to seven months to get our house built. Under the circumstances with everything in todays economy being in short supply it is very understandable. Stefanie was not very happy about it taking so long but we assured her it was understandable. The very best part, so far, was the closing. I was doing yard work at our current home on a Saturday morning when she called and asked when we could set up an appointment for closing. I told her we could be there in an hour, and she said she would be ready. We went in and in short order we had completed closing. Stefanie has truly been the best salesperson I have ever dealt with. She truly is a gem. I may have to borrow her from Affordable Homes the next time I go to buy a new car. Many thanks.Rick and Kelly Ballard

2022-05-27Dont fall for all the promises they make you. My mother and I paid cash for a home over a year ago. They lied, did not pull permits, failed inspections and have never come back to to fix issue all the issues. My sister in law bought a home from Clayton, much better experience and now my daughter is shopping around. My advice...dont buy from affordable homes. One star is too much.

2022-02-11Let the details begin! Walking in, immediately greeted by friendly staff. (no names until final review) I explained my situation and wanted to shoot for financing before I even looked. BAM gave me a computer and paperwork was straight forward and any questions I did have were struck down with quick knowledgeable answers. The mortgage lender they use is 21st mortgage, and after receiving my surprise approval and looking over the paperwork I was even more surprised at the competitive interest rates in the breakdown of the loan.(i would suggest 21st if you cant normally get financing) after the paperwork was filled out we took a tour of a few homes to see quality basically. There were significant cosmetic differences between a few brands, but you have to remember most brands will option in what you want (smooth sheet rock walls, no carpet, fireplaces.. Etc..) build quality for what they have on the lot are all similar, industry standards are alot higher than what they were just 10 years ago. I think I peaked all the floor panels which were all at least 3/4 inch, and most 3/4 inch tongue and groove (3/4 makes a HUGE difference in floor feel) the staff did not mind you poking around and checking things out to cure your curiosity, well as long as youre not destructive, dont be an idiot. The staff again went above and beyond with providing information, floor plans, pricing and a coke for my wife who forgets i have the diabeetus and cant have one... ANYWAY... The entire experience was smooth and comfortable, no wierd gut feelings like this person isnt trustworthy or nothing that indicates any weird or fishy. Also remember when you read reviews especially 1 star, it usually means there is more to the story and dont hesitate to ask establishments like this that is handling you and/or your families home and money questions about sour reviews. They cant give you specifics but you can usually feel better about this life changing event by just asking a few simple questions. Part 1 of my review, stay tuned in for more awesomeness soon!Part 2. Everything had been pretty speedy until I ran into a standstill with the property. Racked my head for a couple days, called them to let them know what I had ran in to, and WHAM! These people gave me more information, suggestions and instructions than I could shake a stick at. We did have to change handlers, nothing that she did wrong, she just changed jobs and btw, thank you for everything Buffy. NOW I was really worried that swapping over to a new handler was going to be a pain, but it has been a breeze so far. Our new handler is responsive, knowledgeable, professional and you can tell shes been doing this for a min or two. So far shes been amazing. Drove out to their storage lot to see a couple models, picked one and made the changes we wanted within just a couple days time. Now here comes the bad news.. Wait... No bad news.. As of right now, 5 stars are still holding strong!PART 2 BABY! Ok so 3 months later we still are not into our new place, WHICH is not their fault. Actually, they have been helpful the entire way to help us out through the troubles we have had with buying our property and dealing with the other stressors of doing stuff for the first time. We have entered into the closing portion of our experience and it would not have been possible without the guidance of the people at affordable(Jamie). I dont like life changing events such as this because I stay stressed out, usually for no reason, and this has been no exception. Every issue I thought was huge was just over thinking and just allowing myself to become...an idiot. In part three I will let you know how the time frames and efficiency of the contractors they use.

2021-12-30UPDATE: It is now Dec 30, 21. Nothing has been fixed. There is still water damage being done to our home. No bathtubs are usable. Toilet is still unusable. Walls and Trim are still in pieces. Front door still hanging sideways. No keys to lock our home. Etc. The individual who came to make the Punch out list (Tina, whom I walked with personally through the home) who submitted the list for our home, keys, new front door, etc. Did not submit even 50% the fixes we spoke about. The manufacture assigned handy man came to do the items she gave him. Thankfully Destiny is much easier to work with and they were apologetic of this company. After charging us $5000 in our loan for land clearing that was repeatedly told to them would not be needed, they refused to give the money charged for the service back to us or our lender. Not only did they refuse to give the money back, they used it to pay a debt that was incurred because of their lack of due diligence to get a formal quote from one of the contracted companies. The contractors also forgot to plumb a bathroom to the septic, destroying our underside of our home including insulation with waste. (Still not fixed as of 2 months later.) Our walls and floors have taken water damage. (Still not fixed as of 2 months later.) Both bathtubs are rendered unusable due to lack of cutting the facet open and replacement of the other facet. (still not fixed as of 2 months later.) Master bath toilet not usable. (Still not fixed as of 2 months later.) Outlets not functioning in kitchen. (Still not fixed as of 2 months later.) And about 10 other things to list. After speaking with the Owner, Brandon, he admitted that the contract states any money left over that the buyer has will not return to buyer. The company keeps it for profit. Even if the deemed amount was specifically allotted for a specific service. If you do not receive that service you do not get your money back. Even if you have told the salesman to not place any extra charges that will not be used in your work up. They potentially have the ability to steal thousands more from you if they put a service you do not receive in your loan/amount owed. We are now not only out $5000 dollars, but the interest incurred on the extra $5000 for the next 30 years. Our home is still extremely unfinished after a process started in March. It is extremely damaged. We still dont have keys to our home. This has been the absolute worst process in gaining a home for our family. Due to lack of motivation by owner, we will be contacting our attorney in regards to the legal theft of our money. DO NOT RECOMMEND.
