Mike with Affordable Inspections is as good as a home inspector gets. He has helped my family and me, I would recommend Mike and his company to anyone I know. Extremely thorough with his inspection, very detailed with his report, responsive for the many questions one might have, and most importantly very knowledgeable. Oh and he is affordable, which is an added bonus. And if you’re around during the inspections expect to learn a few things.
I have used Mike twice now and I would never call anyone else. He is very thorough and knowledgeable. He made sure I was aware of all existing issues and that I understood what will be required for repair. Mike has a great personality and makes the home inspection process fun while still maintaining professionalism. He is a fountain of knowledge and kept me very informed throughout the inspection process. Mike also went out of his way to get my inspection completed on time on the weekend. We used Mike of Affordable Inspections and he did a thorough inspection inside and out! He went out of his way to accommodate our schedules and time constraints as well as my in laws who insisted to be on FaceTime for the inspection! They live out of state and we were nervous first time home buyers. I had called two other places first and Mike was not only less expensive, he was also able to schedule us sooner! He provided us with a complete report that enabled us to negotiate price a little more but he also let us know that all the big ticket items (such as AC and roof (yes of course he climbed up there and even took pictures) were in good shape at the time of his inspection. And, we had no surprises! Three years later and all is still good! Initially I was waiting to write my review because I’ve heard those stories of people having inspections and only months later they find out something was missed at inspection - then 3 years flew by and this was still on my to do list. Lol. But better late than never. FYI, Mike does have a strong personality but I love how he explained everything and provided us with pictures of everything in his report. Overall, he truly does an excellent job; very thorough and written report with pictures was completed super quickly, including the 4 point, wind mitigation for our insurance. He is very detailed in his report and feedback- exactly what we needed! We’ll definitely use Affordable Inspections again. Thank you Mike!

I was very satisfied with his professionalism and putting the customer first helping us to identify some critical issues with the home we intended to purchase. When youre looking for an inspector, this is what youre looking for. Mike was excellent, came at a moments notice when I needed him most, and was very thorough. Ive been in the construction industry for a while and he was pointing out things that even I didnt recognize at first. It was a great price and Mike was very friendly and personable. Hell make sure that youre getting your bang for your buck. After meeting with Mike I felt confident in making an informed decision. If I had to give one word of advice to you before you call, take notes when youre walking through with him! Theres so much information to consume and it might get overwhelming.I had a hurried inspection and Mike was able to come out super fast. Never had that experience before with inspectors. If you hire him to take a look at your house, he understands that he works for you and will provide you with excellent service. Being a general contractor, he can also provide construction tips and ranges of pricing. More helpful than you might think!If youre still looking for an inspector, look no further. Seriously..

I was So happy I found Mike to help me with my home inspection. The home I fell in love with was a little older and I knew there might be some issues; I was worried I would not be able to get a good inspection in time. Mike came out the day after I called him and spent an extended amount of time answering all my questions as he did the inspection. He was very thorough and took the time to explain everything he was seeing and what I should and should not be concerned with. Based on his detailed report I was able to get the home and get the seller to put a new roof on. I am so glad I used Affordable Inspections and I definitely recommend them to you.

Mike is amazing at what he does. Very thorough and spends time with the customer to ensure they know what the inspection process is about and explains all of his findings. He was very patient with me during the process and got the reports to me in a timely manner. He even came back after the initial inspection to do another check to ensure whatever needed to be repaired was done and signed off so that I could procure homeowners insurance. He is also able to give referrals to help with whatever repairs need to be done on the property. Being first time home buyers, my partner and I had no idea how many details there where to consider when buying an older home. We found one that we loved and brought a friend to look at it with us. After going through the house, he mentioned we might want to have an inspection done before purchasing. I spent time going through a ton of reviews and gave a couple companies a call. I cant say enough good things about my experience with Mike and Affordable Inspections. Mike is a genuinely nice guy that has your best interest at heart. He treated me like I was his number one client throughout the process. I was under a time crunch, and he scheduled my inspection fast, and forwarded me the reports the next day! Michael and Mario with Affordable Inspections did a fantastic job doing my four point and wind mitigation inspection. I needed it done quickly and they were available within just a couple of days. Mike is amazing! I called the number for Affordable Inspections on a Friday afternoon and got a answering machine. Mike called me back within 1 hour and he scheduled our home inspection the next morning which is exactly what I needed. He is very knowledgeable and he answered every question that me and my husband had. My children had to come with us during the inspection and Mike gave them a job to do so they felt as though they were helping out awesome. We needed an inspection in a hurry. These guys were the only home inspectors filling all our requirements and they were able to accommodate us in only a couple of days. 5 star business, they let you walk with them during the inspection, and like their names says, they are affordable. . Mike is a professional, very knowledgeable and I can tell he is one of those lucky ones out there who actually likes his job. His inspection was very thorough, took very good notes and pictures, and he emailed me a great report in timely fashion. Michael Potts is a very enthusiastic person where it is clear he loves his job. I recently used Affordable Inspections to inspect a home I purchased in St. Petersburg. Mike the owner was able to accommodate my short notice as I was in from out of town and had a flight out later that day. Ive been a licensed Realtor in Michigan for more than 10 years and have used many Home Inspection services. Mike blew them all away! His attention to detail and willingness to take the time to explain things to me was incredible. He provided me with a detailed report of more than 50 pages and nearly 200 pictures. Several times I needed Mike to provide information to my lender and insurance company and he did this promptly. I was able to make a wise and informed offer on this home, thanks to Mike. I contacted Affordable when I needed to have a 4-pt home inspection conducted on a newly acquired house. I dealt exclusively with Michael and he could not have been friendlier. We had a very challenging home for Mr. Potts to inspect. It was a foreclosure that had been neglected for a very long time and as a foreclosure we did not have the benefit of any seller disclosures. As a result Mike had to be extremely thorough and assume the worst as he worked through the home. His knowledge of structural issues, plumbing and AC systems was excellent and he helped us come up with a punch list of what the home would need replaced and was even helpful with providing some ranges of what things might cost to be replaced. He found lots wrong with the house which was good, because we were not going in blind to make an offer on the house based on repairs needed. He was very informed and did a great job with a very thorough report. Id highly recommend him and would use him again.

Mike did an inspection on a property for me when I was out of state and unavailable to be there. He emailed a thorough and detailed report which I was extremely satisfied with. He charged me a fair price and thanked me for my service. He was professional, courteous and kind. I was very impressed with the professional and personal demeanor of Mr. Mike Potts. He was very knowledgeable and meticulous in his inspection. He was honest and thorough with any issues he found and offered suggestions as to how to fix them. A few days after my inspection I noticed I had a very minor leak from my bathroom sink. I called Mike and he came back out that same day and fixed the leak for me for free, even though it had not been leaking a few days prior. I would recommend this company to anyone thinking of buying a home.
What a pleasure I had today having Mike at Affordable Inspections come out and do a 4-Point Inspection and Wind Mitigation on my home. He was very thorough and very knowledgeable about everything from the roof to the AC to the electrical panel. He showed me how the AC company installed the compressor the way they did so in the future there was easy access to service. I said I should trim back my palm tree and the limbs will continue to rub the top of my roof and wear it way. It was the little details that made me very happy I hired him. Imagine getting your offer accepted and trying to find a business or ANYONE to answer their phone or return your call during Memorial Day Weekend? It was a struggle! But Michael Potts was the only one that I was able to speak with and schedule an inspection on such short notice (the Tuesday right after Memorial Day). He was very kind and thorough during our initial call and even nicer when I met him in person (15 minutes early to the appt I might add). It turned out that he knew the Sellers Agent, however, that did not stop him from being completely honest with us and he gave us great tips and pointers. He works for YOU and no one else, which put me at ease. He went through the whole house with my husband and I and told us what was great and what needed to go. We learned a lot from him. Not every house is perfect (especially one that is 60 years old), but he reassured our purchase and made us feel content. He made it an enjoyable flight:) He calmed my fears when the turbulence was bad. He said, Its not our time. My names Yvonne Brandt and Im a Realtor in California. Michael Potts is very personable. His communication level is excellent. Hes completely likeable. Not only is he an experienced, knowledgeable property inspector, but hes a licensed general contractor as well. I would use him in a heartbeat for property inspections on homes I sell, but I reside in California and Michael is based in Clearwater, FL. It isnt easy for me to find a thorough, knowledgeable property inspector who also communicates so well and pleasantly like Michael. He is exceptionally helpful!
Do not hire these people. This home inspection was the worst I have ever encountered. Chris and his brother were at the house for 1 hour and 10 minutes. They did not inspect the pool, water softener or reverse osmosis. They stated they did not know anything about these items. They were also baffled by the nest thermostat and microwave. They did not open one window to see if they were in working order. They did not turn on the irrigation system to see if it was functioning. I cannot tell you how disappointed I was. This is in no way a home inspection. It seems there purpose was to do a 4 pt inspection for homeowners insurance and that is all. These people were awful. You have been warned.
We needed a home inspection for a new home purchase. Not from the area so picked affordable inspections because of the great reviews on google. What we received for service was completely embarrassing. There were numerous things missed by the home inspector but two I want to specifically point out are:1. The inspector left a sticker on the inside of the circuit breaker but neglected to flip any of the switches in the breaker. None of the switches control anything (they are labeled too) except the main power switch. So literally opened the circuit breaker panel put a sticker on the inside of it and called it good.2. Our dryer broke within weeks of moving in. We had someone out to look at it and the dryer vent exiting the house was 100% clogged. Wish I could share pics so you could see how awful of a miss this was by the inspector. You didn’t need to crawl down or have any special tool to see this. Literally just open your eyeballs when you were up on the roof and you could see the vent was 100% clogged.Anyways this broke my dryer not to mention it’s a massive fire hazard and the cost to fix that plus clean out the vent and the other items I haven’t listed here have cost me thousands of dollars. I was better off getting no inspection done.I was also overcharged on my cc when I paid. I called and emailed and texted probably 10+ times for the refund of overpayment and every time I was told it’s on the way. Never received it. When I called to tell my inspector how poor of a job they did a couple months later they did ultimately give me a refund of all my charges. If you need a quick report for insurance purposes maybe these guys are your best option. If you want a thorough home inspection done so you know what you are getting yourself into before dropping $$ on a new home purchase I’d stay far away. I’m honestly not sure what the inspector did in my house for 4 hours that day.

I have to say when we were looking for an inspector for our house that we were getting ready to purchase, we really werent being picky and were just looking for someone cheap in the yellow pages. We had initially contacted another inspector but we were calling after 5pm and had left a message. We left Affordable Inspections a voicemail as well, however unlike the other inspector Mike Potts called us back within 30 minutes. Quoted us a very reasonable price for our inspection and promptly scheduled the inspection within the next few days. Unfortunately some things with the buyer held up the inspection and we were forced to call Mike back and ask him to reschedule. Mike understood and scheduled the inspection 2 days later.Having only spoken to Mike on the phone up to this point I wasnt sure what to expect. When I got over to the house Mike had already met with my dad and the inspection was already underway. Mike promptly stopped what he was doing and he came up to me with a smile and enthusiastic demeanor. He shook my hand and thanked me for choosing his services.As I watched Mike go through the process of checking the house I noticed he was very thorough. He took pictures and voice notes as he progressed. He would occasionally crack a few jokes to keep the mood light. He took his time to explain to us what problems he found as he found them and made sure we understood them.Once we completed the inspection we all sat down and discussed the issues and once we were all on the same page, we signed the paperwork and paid Mike. However, Mr. Potts was referred to me by a good friend and within minutes I understood why. The report I received was very thorough and helped point out some issues that I was able to get resolved by the seller prior to closing. I had Affordable inspect a house we were buying. We did end up buying it. Mike did a great job identifying several things that needed repair. The main thing was the roof. There a a few other significant things from the garage door to the AC. The roof however needed major attention and it saved us a lot of $ on the purchase. Mike was thorough and professional throughout the process and we received a detailed report in less than 24 hours. Would use again for sure. This is a real review from a real homebuyer in Pinellas.

I shopped around and he was significantly less than the competition. I got a decent discount because I received the 4 point and Wind inspections at the same time. He is also patient and understanding and takes his time to educated his customers if they ask questions which helped me understand what I needed to remedy before I got insurance. After I paid him, I called him back for some questions and he did not mind taking his time to answer them and explain why the laws and insurance companies wanted things a certain way. I am a realtor that has been in the business for over 20 years. My broker recommended Michael Potts with Affordable Inspections. I was impressed with his professionalism and sense of humor. He was very thorough at explaining different aspects of the home, good and bad, while at the same time he kept the Buyers calm. When you sell a home that is over 50 years old there WILL be issues. Not all home inspectors have to be State Licensed Certified General Contractors, Michael is. Big plus, meaning that many other home inspectors do not have the knowledge or expertise whereas when issues arise after the initial inspection you will need to call electricians, plumbers etc. He has more to offer with his diverse background in the construction industry than most of the other inspectors in this industry. He was incredibly thorough, spending over half a day at the home and even allowed me to video many of his points so I could show my fiance because she was not able to be there for the inspection due to her new job. Inspector Potts is very patient. I was not sure how to schedule/set up inspection of a home my family wanted to purchase. My family wants me to learn so they are giving me some things to do in this process. I was looking for good reviews and cross-referenced the Better Business Bureau. I spoke to 2 companies. This gentleman was able to work with the schedule of the owner. He also didn’t say “this is base price, then we add this, that, the other thing, and if you need blah blah blah...” I don’t understand what the other folks were saying. I wasn’t sure if I had to add stuff on to “base price”. I am not buying a tv package! Affordable just said THE PRICE for the four point, plus wind mitigation.The gentlemen that came out spent a good deal of time on the inspection, not even asking to reschedule when the weather was “rainy day Florida”.The report itself is pretty darn in depth, many pictures, and Inspector Potts txted to make sure the email of reports came through!Affordable Inspectors is very straight forward and backs their findings up with those photos.If this family of mine ever goes for another house, I am gonna recommend Affordable Inspectors. After today, I feel as if Affordable Inspections really is in the ring fighting for me. Today, I had Mike Potts come out to re-inspect a property for me and the things that should have been repaired, were not repaired properly. The water heater still did not work and the roof job was unacceptable and would be obvious to anyone, even one with zero knowledge about roofing. He will not pass the inspection until things are properly repaired and I am grateful for it.
DO NOT HIRE!!! I wish I could leave zero stars. I am only writing this review to try and save someone else from my experience. Michael repeatedly lied, changed our agreed deadline, acted like a child, bullied me and my realtor, and had several shouting matches with everyone and no one. He made Me, my fiance, my realtor, and the owners realtor so uncomfortable, I should have asked him to leave and hired someone else on the spot. He did not behave the way you would expect any reasonable human to behave.Google doesn’t leave me enough space to write everything I want to about how unprofessional, insulting, and ineffective his business was. He lied continuously, yelled at me and my realtor, broke things in the house while we were watching and refused to take the blame, and tried to hide things from us. The guy acted like an overgrown child.I want to be fair and assume that he was having a really bad day, but if that’s the case, you cannot take it out on your clients by being verbally abusive for 4 hours. All in all, I had to hire a second inspector and it turns out, Michael missed several huge items (that potentially would have made us change our mind on buying the house had we known earlier.) I cannot say enough, this experience was a nightmare.

We had placed an accepted offer on a property in Holiday, FL. We were extremely nervous about the condition of the house due to age, lack of care and unknown potential problems. We were going to have a quick closing, but we needed a fast and efficient inspection first. I asked a number of acquaintances for recommendations for a good inspector. After a few different people recommended Affordable Inspections, it was the first call I made. I called their office, and I got a prompt return call from the owner and Main inspector, Michael Potts.I was able to explain the dire situation that I was in, needing to get it inspected quickly, completely and without any detail being missed.Mr Potts scheduled our inspection a couple days later, on the weekend, which we appreciated more than they know. Not only did he schedule our property quickly, but he allowed and encouraged me to tag along with his inspection. He arrived with another one of the inspectors, and they were both very knowledgeable and professional. Mr Potts took control, he was extremely prepared, had done research, and told me things I didnt know about the property upon arrival.Then they went to work. We were all over the property, everything was explained clearly, he answered questions, took a ton of pictures, advised me how to handle many situations, and he gave us complete confidence in knowing everything that we were getting into was doable.The report I received was organized, complete, and very well explained. However, I didnt need it, I knew it all the day of inspection. There have been no surprises since closing on our questionable property. Affordable Inspections nailed it, and they nailed it like their name states... Affordably!!!I will absolutely use and recommend their services to anyone that needs a property inspected! I was new to the area moving from up north where I previously flipped several homes as well as went to school for home inspecting many years ago. Since I was purchasing a home via internet from out of state the realtor recommended some inspectors leading me to Micheal. Initially some of his reviews looked very good at first glance but didnt follow my gut instincts when I spoke w/him on the phone. He was all over the place, very anxious, and talked at me instead of to me, really rough around the edges. I went forward w/the inspection which went horribly wrong. This is what I was told by the home owner, my broker along w/her associate, and selling broker: Brokers were not there yet only elderly home owners, Mike walked in unannounced, no knocking which startled the home owners especially since hes a big guy. Then there were words between the owners and Mike but instead of waiting for a broker he took it upon himself to begin the inspection which under the circumstances was inappropriate. Shortly when the brokers arrived Mike proceeded to be very loud while moving about the house criticizing everything he could and towards the end while inspecting the outside decided to take it upon himself to go into the neighbors yard and take some avocados from the tree... The broker that referred him was appalled and very apologetic saying she felt it was like he was on something, noticing he was very irrational, irritated, and anxious. When he discussed the report w/me he kept calling me, sweet heart & honey or little cowgirl! I had to pause him a few times to tell him that I dont appreciate being spoken to like this and he told me to chill, utterly unprofessional in every manner. This had a huge ripple effect causing the owners to not negotiate the price bc they naturally didnt respect his findings, let alone get back to our broker after the incident for several days. This has never happened to me, basically killing the deal. As for his report it was quite sloppy, hard to read bc it was all over the place and full of redundancy - terrible format! I too could not trust the report since he kept making off colored comments about the owners therefore it was biased against them. What a waste of time and $, very frustrated. This guy has to be one of the most unprofessional people Ive had the misfortune of hiring.
We had a great experience with Mike from Affordable Inspections. He arrived, went over all of the legal mumbo jumbo, then headed to work. The inspection lasted about over two and a half hours. Whenever he found something that was questionable or a failure in the inspection he always came and pulled us aside and explained what the problem was and how it should be addressed. The finished report was sent to us that night and we had no problems getting him back to re-inspect some items that he failed on the first inspection. Mike was fun to chat with and very knowledgeable, he made this experience as painless as possible in an already stressful situation of trying to purchase a home.

On my realtors recommendation, I hired Chris Mohr from Affordable Inspections, Inc. to do an inspection on a property that I was considering buying. Chris was formerly a professional civil engineer. I found Chris to be very easy-going, informative and professional. He takes a lot of pictures to back up his written observations. I was a bit disappointed, initially, that he didnt actually get up on the (3rd story) roof which I knew had issues. He told me that, if it was important to me, his partner was willing to go up there, but after his binocular observations, and detailed check in the crawl space I felt like I knew what was going on (new roof recommended). The final report consisted of several parts, including a general report, wind mitigation report, and termite inspection (actually completed by one of their partners). Overall, the report was very well done and gave me a great sense of my working priorities (my offer was accepted). I would also add that Chris was very forthcoming with information and I learned a lot during the inspection process. I definitely recommend him.

MIKE IS THE BEST! VERY thorough on home inspections. Being first time buyers we were not sure what to expect, we loved the house BUT were blind to some major issues. Mike helped us make the best decision and saved us a ton of money and heartache. We got the full 4 point inspection including wind mitigation and WDO plus residential home inspection. He really cares about what he does and he is on YOUR side, the buyer. He is 100% honest and very very helpful in answering any of your questions in a way you can understand! The WDO inspector Ted was also sooo helpful! He crawled into the attic all the way to the far side of the house to check every nook and cranny, I know I wouldnt want to do that! Both the buyer and the seller were impressed. Mr. Mohr has over 20 years’ experience as a General Contractor. He also has a degree in Civil Engineering. His formal education and hands on experience makes him an ideal inspector.The next inspection by Chris Mohr was on a 4,833 sq. ft. bank owned home in Pasco County with 4,155 sq. ft. under air. It was situated on 4.66 acres. Because of the many defects in the property the Buyer did not purchase. However, he was extremely pleased with the inspection report.In the third inspection a doctor purchased a 12,203 square foot commercial building in St. Petersburg, Florida. 2022-03-06Chris is a hard worker. Inspection was performed in Friday afternoon. He worked so hard on Sunday to generate me a full inspection report before the inspection contingency expire on Monday. He is willing to pull out building permits and do roof replacement estimation.

2020-05-10We called Affordable Home and Building inspections because we were trying to get a lower rate on our homeowners insurance and they said we needed a new 4-point inspection. Michael and Mario were able to make it out the same day and complete the inspection. We received the report the next day - not even 24 hours later! When they were in our home they were kind, courteous, and even made our kids feel comfortable with the process! In addition, they made our family feel very safe by showing up with fresh masks, new gloves, and a confirmation that neither they nor us were or had been sick. These guys were a joy to have in our home and we will surely use them if needed again and recommend them to anyone we know that needs these types of services.

2020-06-22I was in need of an inspector QUICK for a property I was buying. Affordable Inspections Inc., was highly recommended to me, and I will do the same to others!Mike immediately called me back. 2020-02-10We were very pleased with affordable Inspections. We were out of state buyers purchasing a home in Florida. We wanted an honest assessment of the property. We knew immediately that we would get that from Mike. Mike was very thorough in his inspection of the property. He identified problems with the property that we were able to have addressed before closing - savings us money. He provided a complete report. He was very responsive to our calls and text and took his time explaining information to us. Mike makes it clear he is working for the buyer to give you the information needed to make a decision. 2019-10-28Mike was great to deal with for my home inspection. He was very knowledgeable and professional. You can tell he was looking out for my best interest. I would recommend this company for any inspection needs. I was present for the inspection and Mike showed me around the house pointed out the good and the bad as well are preventive maintenance I should be doing or paying attention to. Also what I should expect to up down the road. This is all stuff homeowners need to know. He was very though and detailed in his inspection. I have peace of mind that I am investing in a good property from what Mike showed me.

2020-12-09Michael Potts did an amazingly thorough home 4-point inspection and wind mitigation for a home we were purchasing. He saved us money by identifying an old, soft roof and provided sound insight as we inspected the remaining aspects of the house. He is a great person and knows what hes doing! 2020-02-28This has been such a great experience working with Mike. I called to schedule an appointment for a home inspection on a home I inherited in pretty bad condition with absolutely no knowledge of what to do or where to start. Mike was at the property with me first thing the very next morning. He was professional, extremely knowledge, passionate about his role and knowledge in the industry, gave me tons of information, gave me a roadmap of what I needed to do, explained the importance of every detail we discussed from roofing to landscaping, and did it in a very genuine and positive manner. I HIGHLY recommend him for home inspections, he was amazing. Price was fantastic for everything I walked away with. He also provided me with several referrals for reputable businesses to help get the work done I need to do for a good price and correctly. I cannot recommend him enough. He also took the time to say a prayer for our lost loved one and share his condolences, something you just dont get with everyone. Thank you so much for such a positive and informative experience. 2022-05-20WORST OF THE WORST horrible experience with this miserable inspector that my buyer hired. On the morning of April 24th, it was a bad storm with heavy rain and lightening. Since I was scheduled to meet the owner Mike Potts at 10AM, I thought it was the kind and courteous thing to call and check if, for his safety, he might wish to reschedule. He so rudely came back at me with hey lady do the police and firemen stop working in storms huh, huh? I want you to tell me? He proceeded to ask me 3 times. Since he obviously put his home inspection business up with the ranks of a first responder, I knew I was dealing with an odd-ball. So instead of just letting him in to do his 90 minute inspection (yes it lasted only 90 mins!) I decided to stay and watch this character since the trust was completely gone from his instant rudeness. Most of the time he was yelling quite loudly at his young assistant from other rooms of the home. Is this rude man free from mistakes? Not at all: 1) I followed them around some, to see what they were doing. The report said the master bath toilet had a leak. I watched the young kid turn the valve under the tank on and off. He must have not completely turned it back because when the toilet was flushed, it leaked. WRONG: We went back and turned it back tight and there was NO leak.2) Mike opened all the front bay windows. Then proceeded to start the irrigation system. By the time I noticed what was happening, there was about an inch of water that poured onto the floor through the open windows. 3)The report stated that the ice-maker didnt work. WRONG. Mike never bothered to notice that it was in the OFF position. Duh. 4) About a week later we went to check on the home. We noticed that the new plants we planted to enhance the curb appeal were dying. After checking the irrigation system it was on the OFF position. He never turned it back on! Duh! BOTTOM LINE. This Affordable Home Inspection was no bargain. The man clearly has anger issues, narcissistic-like personality, condescending, belligerent, loud and rude. Maybe he was having a bad day? Maybe he was off his meds? Woman hater? Who knows? I just feel the need to warn people of this inspection experience. After looking at the other negative reviews I can see a consistent pattern in his attitude. Last but not least, I told him I was going to share my experience on social media. He proceeded to call my buyer and threaten me with a legal suit over slander if I did that. Knock yourself out, Mike Potts!

2019-05-09I called Affordable Inspectors for an inspection on Friday afternoon, Mike was out that same Sunday. Mike was punctual and very knowledgeable. It was obvious from the moment he began his inspection he had my best interest in mind. He found several inconsistencies with the story I was getting from the seller, including a discrepancy on the age and condition of the roof, and the non-professional electrical panel instillation. He also noted that the A/C may not be large enough to service the entire home. Mike gave me his professional opinion on the spot, as well as a rough estimate of the cost of the repairs. I was able to independently schedule a roofer, A/C company, and electrician and they all agreed with Mike, and their quotes were within the range that Mike had estimated. I received a very detailed full report of Mike’s findings, complete with numerous pictures and other concerns about the house, and was able to successfully negotiate a lower price to accommodate for the repairs that needed to be made to the home. Mike continued to follow up with me even after he provided his final report to ensure I was getting a good deal on the house. I highly recommend Affordable Inspectors.

2019-05-22I needed to get a home inspection done for switching insurance companies and found Affordable Inspections on google. They had great reviews so I gave them a call and spoke with Mike Potts. He was able to fit me in within a week. On the day of the appointment he was here early and did a great job. He is very entertaining and did a thorough job checking our house. He took lots of pictures and took the time to explain what he was looking for and shy things were good or bad. Overall I was really happy with the service and would happily use them again and refer them to any friends or neighbors needing an inspection.
