Initial response was very good and technician arrived on time. We purchased a home with new HVAC unit and it was time for the one year service. We called due to a loud buzzing coming from the electronic air filter. Upon arrival, the sales pitch started for a service contract. They checked air flow and temperatures and cleaned out the drain line. I asked about the electronic filter that was buzzing and he stated they were self cleaning so he tried to stuff tape balls around it to keep it from vibrating. (that didnt work). So after he left I googled electronic air cleaner maintenance and they are not self cleaning. I pulled the filter assembly and it was in terrible shape. My guess is it had never been cleaned because the former owners were also told that it was self cleaning. Not sure how a professional HVAC service company doesnt know to check the filter. I called and requested the service manager call me before I post a review about my experience, but after several days and no call, I decided to post this.

Air Masters was recommended by a friend. We had another company perform yearly maintenance and Freon leaks were found. One was an easy fix on outside unit however the coil in air handler had a serious leak. They estimated about 3k for the repair. From past experience repairing coil leaks won’t hold long so we decided to replace our system. Air Masters had the replacement Trane 16 SEER, 2 stage, 5 ton unit we wanted.Tony (sales) walked us through details of the unit and arranged installation. Pedro and James installed a few days later. System is working really well and impressed with how well it cools and how quite it is.From sales to installation through inspection impressed with Air Masters. Also will sign up for service contact to protect our investment and keep it in top shape

My experience with Air Masters has been great so far. Customer service is great and staff is very friendly. They are very responsive which helps in times where there’s an emergency. They went above and beyond during the installation. Very pleased with our results and look forward to working with them over the next couple of years. We’ve been using them since 2020.

“Air Masters of Tampa Bay surpassed our expectations. Their techs are superior, precise, perfectionists. Absolutely did above and beyond , and even elevated our condenser to protect it from any potential rising water from storms. Our A/C has never been colder, and more efficient, our air has never been purer and fresher, as we also had installed Air Masters Air Purifier.My daughter and I saw almost instant relief from allergies and headaches. Incredible. I highly recommend this honest and fairly- priced company. They areone- of - a -kind, and that’s hard to find!5 stars all the way!!!!”

The service tech was on time and and very knowledgeable. He did a thorough job and documented all key areas of work with photos which he emailed with my statement. There was no high pressure to buy something (which is one thing I hate about AC contractors in general) and he was pleasant and courteous the whole time. I like how Air Masters operates.

I work in a suite of an office building, and on my day off, the building manager had a technician come to service our air conditioning while other staff was present. Jose, the technician, had to move a cabinet and many boxes to service the area he was called in for, but did not put anything back after he was through, leaving a mess behind; in addition, the staff members present claimed he appeared to be upset about something, and had a poor attitude.While it appears this company has a pretty sound reputation, this particular visit was not a good one; Im posting this review not to give others a negative impression of the company as a whole, but rather to warn them about this individual technician, should he be scheduled to perform a service for anyone else.In conclusion, professionalism is expected, and while we all would rather be on a beach in Tahiti, a man is expected to buckle down and get the job done properly, minus the baggage.Thank You!

I had air masters come out for preventative maintenance on a new house we just purchased. Turns out it needs a lot of work but Chad was extremely professional and honest about the best direction to go. I would recommend calling this place if you find yourself needing AC repair.

Air Masters has delivered excellent equipment and service from the time we had our AC and Heating unit installed. The technician (Chad) who handled our maintenance visit today was helpful and informative just as weve come to expect from all our contacts with this company. From the office personnel who take our calls and schedule visits, to the technicians who maintain the equipment, every person at Air Masters has been friendly, professional, and always helpful.

What’s in a name and a reputation… everything! I did a lot of diligence on the replacement of my 2 air conditioners. At some point you have to trust the company and employees that you decide to do business. Things do not always go perfectly but I must say Tony Johnson and Air Masters responded in a way that any consumer would love to have as a response. Can’t say enough about their dedication and execution that supports 100% customer satisfaction. Highly recommended

No business is inherently bad, and some of the people I have worked with at Air Masters have been good. The reason i recommend NOT using them is three fold: they are inconsistent, unreliable, and lack accountability. I am happy to discuss at length my experience and that of my sister (we both own homes with back houses and had terrible experiences with them). Feel free to reach out to me if i can provide more detail. I would gladly do that.Some specifics:1. We had a tech come out that misdiagnosed a problem on the AC unit. We had a second company come because things felt wrong. The second company had a different diagnoses. When we told Air Masters about this they sent out a second tech and they agreed with the other companys interpretation. Yet they still charged us ~$300 plus for the original techs time all while conceding he was wrong and took too long to diagnosis. Thats just shady.2. We had them install a new unit on a back house. I had to follow up with them to get the paperwork and permit after the install. Their inability to be proactive is a common theme. Much of this is due to what i have seen as a very messy process and organizational system for client management and billing.3. I paid for service on my main unit and after it was serviced they never reached out to follow up with me on my next service appointment. I had to remember that it had been some time and then call them. They said, oh yeah, your service contract expired and we were going to mail you something about renewal. They didnt.4. They had to access one of the condenser units in my attic. I have an old house and told them to please be careful about the access. They were not. They pulled the trim around the entrance off the hinges yet said nothing about this and didnt acknowledge their actions or needs to address.5. Finally, they upsell everything. I can appreciate its a business, but their approach is just slimy.There are plenty of businesses in the area that offer similar services. I would highly suggest using someone else.
