After renting with AMIA for 5 years, I am extremely disappointed in their service.We rent a home every year for Mother’s Day week and take our parents who are in their 70’s. I always rent a home with an elevator as stairs are challenging for them especially in three level homes with no bathrooms by the pool. As soon as we arrived at Sand Castle, we realized the elevator wasn’t working. I called and they sent someone immediately but he needed to call an elevator tech. I was told due to Mother’s Day being the next day, they would be out early Monday morning. (This was a a bold face lie.) The parents said they could make due for a day.Monday morning came no elevator tech…I called AMIA they then said sorry not until Friday morning. I was furious and explained the situation again and asked to speak to a manager. I was told the manager was unavailable and would call me. Called back later in the day and was told the same line. Called back the next morning was told the same thing…this went on all week.15 calls and never a manager, no offer to relocate us, no offer for a refund. Our parents left after three days as the stairs were too hard for them.I felt horrible as this was the Mom’s annual treat and it was completely ruined by poor service.
We stayed at Palm Paradise at 112 Palm Drive in May 2022.THIS PLACE IS A DUMP AND ANNA MARIA ISLAND ACCOMODATIONS KNOWS IT AND WONT DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT AND CONTINUES TO RENT IT. THERE IS A REASON THERE ARE NO REVIEWS FOR IT ON THIER WEBSITE. Filthy. Mold in the showers, food splattered on the walls, baseboards and window sills covered in dust that has been building for months as has the mold in the showers, worms coming out of the garbage disposal, toilet in the hall wouldnt flush because of roots and had to be cleaned by a roto rooter type company (this complaint was in the only other review I could find so they knew about it), pool was finally cleaned after many complaints, A/C will not cool the house (they finally brought us a portable unit on day 3 and another one on day 4 (we told them about it morning of day 2) after sending out 5 people that all said it was working fine it just cant keep up), yard is not safe for children or older people. Carpet on the front porch was wrinkled and torn which was a trip hazard for my parents. If you walked on the floor with bare feet, your feet turned black on the bottom. We had to cover the furniture in sheets because of the filth. No extra sheets in the house so that took them 3 days to get to us. When I went to the office to complain(BTW, the office is not at 315 Pine Ave., which is posted on the website. It is hidden in an ally miles away. I had to call to get the real address. Who are they hiding from?) Rachel said she would find us another place because they wanted us to be happy, then someone told me later that day they didnt have the ability to move people. Two days later, they said they would move us. Never happened. Their compensation for all the issues, which I havent listed, was $500. Less than one nights rent. I asked to be contacted by an owner or a manager. Never heard from one. STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOUSE AND ANNA MARIA ISLAND ACCOMODATIONS! Use at own risk! What used to be an amazing organization has merged with another and their quality has suffered as a result. We were greeted with overflowing trash, treated rudely by one night person who was supposed to be helpful, and the house we paid an exorbitant amount to rent was a dirty mess, with fish smells in fridge-- and although they came and dealt with some stuff-- like new pans (relacing old, dirty ones) , and ice trays-- the week we spent with smudgy cushions, a fishy fridge, chemical spill by pool, and constantly broken dishwasher. I will never use them again and I am recommedning no one does. There are other services on island. Pictures to come!
Had a great stay on Anna Maria Island! Got some great advice about staying on the Island prior to leaving home and the two (very minor) logistical issues we had were promptly resolved with a single phone call. Would definitely rent though Anna Maria Island Accommodations again!
We booked Island Mojo for our Honeymoon. Arrived at the property and the Door code did not work. We had to call the afterhours number to get the code reset.House was disgusting. Chipping paint, nasty vents, beat up kitchen, Windows that won’t close, holes in drywall, water stains on the ceiling, rusty door handles.Called the afterhours number again and the maintenance guy handed us over to Tracy. Tracy claimed there were only 2 other rental houses that were available with private pools. Tracy put us in a situation where we would have to be partly refunded or pay more to get into a different property. The first property was of the same condition as Island Mojo. The other was much nicer and of the quality you would expect to see on AMI. After going back and forth with Tracy for 2 hours, she said the best she can do for us was to have us pay an extra $900. I reasoned with her that our Honeymoon was completely paid for and we did not account for paying any additional money for a new house. Tracy said that she had family who flown halfway across the country to visit her and they are waiting because Tracy was dealing with me. We just flew in from Ohio and had no place to stay.How is it my problem that one of your rental homes is disgusting? I should not have even been put into the situation of having to pay more for another property. Tracy said she would be able to refund me the next day (Monday). I sent emails on Monday and Wednesday asking for updates on the refund. I did not get my refund until Thursday.I do not recommend staying with this company. They were not ACCOMODATING. They have no control of the condition of the homes they rent out. They are simply a middleman rental agency. You would think Anna Maria Island Accommodations would hold a standard of cleanliness and basic home conditions of the houses they rent out to clients. They do not. Getting a refund is also a lengthy process.
We stayed in a well equipped home very close to the beach (Addisons Beach House) with a great backyard/pool area. On our late arrival (10pm Saturday) we got into the property easily with key code and the property to be very clean and welcoming. Unfortunately we found our propane tank empty (bummer) and only lukewarm hot water. Arriving late with kids from a dirty plane the first thing you want is a nice hot shower. Below Ill detail the saga that ensued:The next morning (Sunday) we contacted Anna Maria Island Accommodations and were told a maintenance person would be over in 10-20 minutes to check on the hot water issue. Hours (3-4) went by and I called back (had to use emergency number) and was told by the maintenance person on call that there was no way he was going to be there in 10-20 minutes and wasnt sure why the first person told us that. After my call he did show up fairly promptly, and replaced the propane tank. He couldnt fix the hot water, but scheduled a plumber to arrive the following day (Monday). The plumber arrived Monday with no time window or warning, and diagnosed a faulty hot water heater. The fix couldnt happen until the following day (Tuesday). Tuesday comes around, again no time window provided and a new plumber shows up randomly to install new on demand hot water heater. He says it will take 2-3 hours. When he finishes I can tell its bad news as hes immediately on the phone. He tells me the new hot water heater is a faulty unit and will need to be replaced the next day (Wednesday). Now we dont have lukewarm water, just cold water. We are now halfway into our vacation with a plane ride, pool, sunscreen, sand, salt, and no hot showers. Wednesday arrive, again no time window for arrival for the plumber, but another different person shows up, and has the hot water heater fixed in about 45 minutes. He tells me the guy who installed it Tuesday had the wires reversed. So Wednesday 1-2pm we finally have hot water and can clean up and relax a bit without waiting for a plumber or maintenance person showing up any minute.NOPE, a rude pool maintenance just appears in our PRIVATE backyard pool area to clean the pool (opened the gate and came right in). Mind you its the first point in our vacation we finally dont have to worry about someone showing up, were relaxed, and hanging prime sunshine time of day. No where in the documentation does it say someone will show up mid week. No knock , nothing with two small children just barges in. He cleans the pool and tells us we cant go in the pool for at LEAST 30 minutes because of all the chemicals hes dumping in. Wasnt in a huge rush for the kids to get back in after that warning and what we saw being poured in. What a nightmare. We called management and reported this event immediately.We have 2 small children that nap during the day, and you can only imagine how disruptive this was for a full half (Saturday to Wednesday) of our vacation.The house isnt very kid friendly in that the only bathtub has a half glass tub door that makes it impossible to bathe a small child. Also, the sinks in the bathrooms are high and there are some step stools around the house would be appreciated. The proximity to the beach is great, just a 2 minute walk.
Not happy with policy I reserved a place and just over 24 hours later requested to change house to be closer to family. The said sure you can rent another one but you are still responsible for the first one also . Really almost 20 thousand for the week. No way can I afford that....
We have booked with this company four times now over the past 7 years and it has been exceptional every single time! Probably why we keep coming back to them. The Houses are always clean and fully stocked and the staff is always very helpful and friendly. We have never had anything but wonderful things to say and have and will continue to recommend them to family and friends. 5 stars all the way around.
Wonderful rental company and property! This is the second time we’ve stayed in one of Anna Maria Accommodations homes and each time it’s been terrific. We were initially concerned about traveling during the pandemic but decided to go for it—knowing we’d be living socially-distanced here, too. The house is great—clean, well-appointed. Cute decor. Cabanas and pool were perfect. Within walking distance of shopping and dining on Pine Street. Just a short walk to the beach. We’ll be back!
We had a great 2 weeks in Seaside Manor on Anna Maria Island. The property was nicely kept and stocked well. Price was reasonable. The staff with Anna Maria Island Accommodations was very responsive to any issues or request we had. Also very friendly. We would definitely rent from them again.
Never had a bad experience with this company. They didn’t disappoint this time either. They sent a replacement propane tank for grill within 5 minutes. Had a problem where the power to house went out. Turned out it was just a tripped breaker outside. I found breaker box and reset breaker myself. The rental company gave us a restaurant gift card for the inconvenience of the power outage. My wife and I were able to have 3 free meals with that card. We were very impressed and appreciative of that gesture. We are repeat renters of AMI accommodations and will continue to rent from them.
We stayed at the beautiful Sandcastle home at Holmes Beach! All interactions with rental agency were professional and pleasant! We received a call to ensure our stay was going well and to make sure there were no issues, which there were not! The house was as expected, beautiful, clean, and spacious! Would definitely recommend. We can’t wait to come back to the beautiful island and will definitely be booking with AMI Accommodations!
We have been using Anna Maria Accommodations for our vacation rentals for many years and have always found great homes to rent and enjoy our family vacations. They are really easy to work with and always take care of you!!!! No hidden costs and always want you to be happy. Anna Maria Island is a wonderful place to visit.
We just returned from Anna Maria Island. We rented the Dock Holiday home and couldnt have been happier with it. The staff at AMI Accommodations was great. They were very responsive when we had questions while planning our trip and very patient when I asked about numerous homes on the island before booking. We checked in without problem and had everything we could possibly need at the house. The only thing I had to call and ask for was a new propane tank and they delivered that within hours. The home was clean, modern and beautiful and we hope to book it again next year. Thank you Anna Maria Accommodations for helping make our family vacation so wonderful.
I am beyond disappointed with this business.We rented a property from them. We paid over $4,000.00 for a week at vacation home “A Shore Thing”.We paid exorbitant cleaning fees, linen service fees and owner fees. On the day we were returning, Rebecca from the office called me to request another $165.00!When I asked what for, they explained they found dog hair in the property. I asked about the fees they had charged and she stated those fees were for “regular cleaning” not for cleaning or changing of the bed comforters nor to wipe down furnishings. I was disgusted and appalled. I asked her to clarify.She reiterated that comforters are not regularly cleaned or changed between guests. And that normally they do not wipe down furnishings.I then told her that my health was a risk at this property. I cannot conceive that in the middle of a pandemic, they would not take sanitary precautions!I am contacting the health department to report thisas I do not want anyone to go through the same thing we went through. I have reported them to the better business bureau but, of course, they never even had the decency to respond. Stay away from renting from them, you’ll pay a very high price and may put your health at risk.
Everything went smoothly from the moment we arrived. The apartment was decorated with a nautical and cozy theme. We had plenty of towels and the kitchen was well stocked, but more importantly the beds were clean and comfortable. The surrounding area was very well-maintained and the access to the beach was a big plus. Out kids walked to the beach which was less than a block away. At the end of the day we enjoyed having use of the swimming pool and the convenience of a barbecue grill. The big seller was being able to bring our pet. Our contact person Guy, was very responsive and accommodating. Anna Maria Island is a very friendly island and there are plenty of things to do, we would definitely come back!
I cant say enough about the staff here. We just spent two weeks on the island,and it was a wonderful experience. We had only two issues at our rental while there.One was a minor problem as we needed propane for our grill. The other was an issue with our refrigerator that could have been a major problem but wasnt because of the promptness of the staff. Thanks to Will and Rachel for getting things done so that we didnt lose any food.We will definitely always use Anna Maria Accommodations when we visit the island. Thanks!!
This is our 4th rental with Anna Maria Island Accommodations and I will only use this company. They have never ever let me down! All the properties have been so well maintained. And if there is ever something that needs to be fixed or adjusted, they are on it!All the folks in the office are always helpful and pleasant. Because of peoples extreme desire to travel this spring, the island is much busier than in previous visits. I am so happy that I asked Anna Maria Island Accommodations, when I was making the reservation this winter, which properties would best suite me. The gentleman on the phone took the time to look at my previous bookings and noticed that I like quiet. He steered me away from a busy property and said I think you will really like Wade N Sea. We could not be happier here and hope to rent this home for all our future visits.
This was our third AMI vacation with AMI Accommodations & each experience was excellent. The 3 different properties were well maintained & just as pictured online. The reservation process was smooth & simple. This time we had a couple of minor concerns- light bulbs,etc which were handled as if by magic - we didn’t even need to call. Bob from AMI Accomodations came by to install a new TV & quickly took care of everything. Can’t wait to return to the island again!
Our rental reservation started out just a bit bumpy with some pricing issues but once we got that dialed in our visit was great. The property was as advertised, we were greeted in person when we arrived on site and the one issue we had with a broken shower head was promptly taken care of. Communication before, during and after our stay was very good. Overall, we were very pleased with our stay and wouldnt hesitate to use them again.
This is a highly reputable house rental agency on the island and we have used them multiple times when vacationing on the island. We have never had any issues whatsoever with them. Check in and check out has always been easy to understand and straightforward. Every property we have rented has been 5 star...from 3 bedroom homes to smaller villas. I always highly recommend this company to anyone coming to Anna Maria.
This place is better than we could have expected! We had two families with young kids and the backyard pool area surpassed our expectations! The kids swam allll day, and we felt like we were in the tropics with the beautiful palms that surround it! It was just perfect! We grilled many nights. The house being just a short 2 min walk to the beach was wonderful. We highly recommend the monkey bus also! We took it a few times to the shopping and restaurant areas of the island. Kids loved the donut experience, shiny fish where they painted sand dollars, mini golf, but they mostly couldn’t get enough of the pool and hot tub! We will be back!
We had a wonderful time staying in Turtle Trax. When we arrived we didnt understand how the door and window alarms worked so someone came over right away to explain them to us. The unit was furnished nicely, clean, and had everything we needed for a wonderful week. The pool was also well taken care of and very enjoyable!
We have used Anna Maria Island Accommodations for about nine years now. All our experiences have been positive beyond expectations. The cottages we have rented are clean and well equipped. The beds are comfortable and the spaces are welcoming. The island is magical and it continues to be quiet and welcoming without succumbing to commercialism or mass appeal.The best part of this enterprise is the people they employ. Their smiling faces greet us year after year and welcome us back. They are invariably responsive to calls when help is needed. We will continue to come to Anna Maria for as long as we can because we love this place.
The house was as described on the website. great location, big rooms and plenty of room for our family. the family room/living room couches could use an update but besides that the rooms were big the beds were comfortable. the game room pool table had pool cues with no tips, i sent an email to Anna Maria Island Accommodations and they brought over 2 new pool cues promptly. the check in process was simple the directions to everything we needed was there. the pool lights and spa were tricky to figure out but overall the house was everything we wanted and we plan on returning. the staff at Anna Maria Island Accommodations was very pleasant and professional to deal with.
We used this company several years ago and loved them. They were clean, reliable, and they did everything to make our vacation one to remember. We scheduled with them again for a March 2021 family vacation. However our sons leave got cancelled because of Covid. I put in my cancellation request in January and knew the policy was I may not get any refund. If they couldnt rent it again I would just be out my down payment. They worked hard and got it rented. I received a full refund (except for the $100 cancellation fee. We will use this company again. I highly recommend them.
We stayed at Willow Walk. This house is absolutely beautiful!! The location is excellent as well. Just steps away from the beautiful beach and Pine street. I can’t say enough about our stay. We stayed 10 days and got married at the Sandbar. We have a family of 5 and we all had our own room which is why we chose it. Beautifully decorated and up to date. The pool and entertainment area was outstanding and was perfect for our occasion with family and friends!The only two downsides to this house are:Stairs: if you have elderly staying with you or if cannot handle stairs, There are a lot.Access and view of pool: if you have small children and need to watch them 100%, you cannot view the pool from upstairs. You have to walk around the front of the house and walk up stairs. No access to the pool from inside the house.I would definitely recommend this to house to anyone. You won’t be disappointed!!
We are a family of 9 and this house was perfect accommodating us! There were LOTS of beach towels - beach chairs - coolers you name it. All beach needs were met! Location to and on the beach were excellent! The house was very clean - and had our every need and want! Renting through the flip flop place is always easy and the team is the best! Friendly and responsive. I’ve rented once with another and can assure you - it’s not worth it! Stick with the flip flops!
We have been coming to AMI for over 30 years and this is in my top 5 best places I’ve stayed on the island. The home is very welcoming and comfortable, had all the things in the kitchen we needed to prepare meals and the backyard is amazing! My only complaint would be that I wished the beds were more comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our week in paradise and would love to stay at this property again!
We rented Peach Bellini for a week. The location was great...just a short block to the beach. I loved the decorations and the villa was a perfect size for my husband and I. I loved that the pool had afternoon shade, which was perfect after getting more than enough sun on the beach in the afternoon.Anna Maria Island Accommodations made everything easy, from the reservation through the check out process.
We rented No Bad Days in Holmes Beach! I cannot say enough great things about this house! It is spacious, clean and well decorated. The pool area is beautiful. The landscaping allows for some shade so you wont be too hot. The location is close to the beach, restaurants and shopping. We rented a golf cart for the 1st time and we definitely will again. It was so much fun cruising the island to dinner or watch the sunset. I would definitely rent No Bad Days again and would recommend it to others.
The location of our unit (above retailers on Pine Ave) is amazing, walking distance to the bay and the ocean and the farmer’s market. It’s also walking distance to shopping and restaurants, but we did not enter any establishments because of COVID-19. The house was as advertised- spacious and comfortable, with a lot of outdoor space with the 2 oversized porches and a patio surrounding the private pool. Some of the seating is falling apart and the kitchen could use a new microwave and been better stocked with more plates, utensils and good knives (we stayed here 4 weeks and cooked a lot), but we would stay here again! Management was quick to respond to us.
We loved working with AMI Accommodations!They matched us with a PERFECT place for a vacation on AMI! Ideal location, close to the gorgeous beach and downtown Pine Avenue. Our family of four had plenty of room to eat, sleep and relax in this immaculate home. Layout was fantastic! After soaking up the sun at the beautiful beach, we went for a dip in the refreshing pool right in the backyard. Kitchen stocked with every appliance you can imagine! Openness of kitchen was wonderful.. Beds very comfortable. Super fun basement with shuffleboard opened right to the backyard with pool, hot tub, outdoor bathroom and closet packed with every beach / pool item you need. Plenty of towels, sheets, and pillows. We are already planning to book again so we can make AMI a family tradition!
My wife and I and another couple rented a 3 bdrm bungalow with private pool on Hudson Beach for a week. We had a wonderful time. The place was exactly as advertised. It was clean and well-kept. Dealing with Anna Maria Island Accommodations was very easy. We enjoyed the experience and will come back! Thank you!
I stayed with this rental company several times previously and have had no problems with them addressing any issues that weve had in any homes that weve stayed at. Their website though which this review is for is and can be kind of hard to get around at least on a cell phone on a computer it may be different but working on a tablet or a cell phone it is kind of hard to maneuver around If you know the exact name of a property its not so bad but if youre just going through looking for a property looking for specific options its a little more difficult to get around finding a specific rental to stay at. For the most part these rental companies do a great job on the vacation properties. Making sure the place is msintained and everything is working properly.
We needed the child proof alarms lowered as my 88 year old mother could not let herself out of the house if we were at the beach. We were pleased with the response we got. The young gentleman was very professional. It was a beautiful space that definitely met our needs for the week. Fantastic area and a beautiful community. Loved the house.
We really enjoyed our stay at The Sundaze rental. The pool was the best part but the house was perfect for 4 of us. Very clean and the beds were comfortable.The process of booking and having my emails answered promptly was great with this rental company. Will definitely book with them again!! The location of the rental is perfect. Very short walk to the beach. There is two beach access areas close by.
Lovely and peaceful house to stay with ample room for a large family , very clean I would recommend this home to anyone! And also very affordable Thank you Anna Maria island accommodations! Our family had a lovely stay! The pool was also a very nice size! also with an easy walking distance of the beach!
We loved the property that we stayed in . We had booked the same property last year but had to cancel because of COVID restrictions. The travel insurance I purchased did not cover Covid cancellations but Anna Maria Accommodations was gracious enough to give us the same place again with only a modest fee due to an increase in 2021 rental prices . In listening to friends horror stories about canceled travel plans and lostExpenditures we are grateful to Anna Maria Island Accomodations for getting us back to the same property this year .
Our stay at Seaside Manor on 8th Street in February was awesome! So close to the bay, Cortez Beach, the historic district with tons of shopping and restaurants. Everything! The accommodation was super clean and modern - everything was brand new and the bathrooms were spa-like! You will be impressed with the decor...and a huge marlin mounted on the wall! With a full kitchen we were able to cook a few meals. Even with Bradenton Beach at our fingertips, we mostly chose to stay at the rental and enjoy the fabulous pool...it would light up at night for great atmosphere! We are definitely returning!
My experience with AMI Accomodations was pleasant. I had a couple of questions before we took our trip and although I had to email twice, they responded quickly at my second request. The property was as described in the listing. When we arrived, there were not enough bath towels for all of us so I called and had to leave a message because it was after hours. The next day, towels were delivered with a bottle of wine. I will use them again and would encourage others to use them as well.
We stayed at Salty Margarita, the house and location were nothing short of amazing. Going through Anna Maria Accommodations was flawless, from booking, frequent updates on the upcoming trip, check-in and check-out, and finally the deposit return. We definitely recommend this home to anyone looking for a great house close to the beach, with every amenity you would ever need. We will be using Anna Maria Accommodations for all of our return trips to the island.
I was extremely disappointed with our experience with Anna Maria Island Accommodations. My group of friends and I rented this property for our vacation to Anna Maria. We were so excited for this property and we were disappointed in every way. The kitchen was useless due to the oven and stove not working, which was brought to our attention only three hours before check in. The solution to this was bringing us an electric griddle which did not come until Monday. The TV downstairs by the pool was broken, the electric went in and out and we could hardly keep rooms lit without causing a surge and tripping the breakers. The bedrooms were incredibly hot due to the A/C not working properly, although fans were provided this did not help at all. The house was filthy with the floors covered in dirt and hair and stains and kitchen appliances dirtied. There was grime and mold in the showers and even a used damp towel downstairs in the cabana. The cleanliness of the house feels especially important during a pandemic. The management did not seem to take us seriously and blamed our issues on it being a discount week, therefore making us feel that we were not being treated like a respected customer. We all wanted to love this property but it seemed everywhere we turned there were more issues. When we told them about the dirtiness of the house and all the other issues, we were promised a cleaning company to come out and possibly a maintenance worker. However neither of these happened our entire stay, and nobody ever contacted us to tell us why or apologize, and this was promised in the beginning of our 7 day stay. The way this company treats customers is disappointing to say the very least and I will never use this company again or recommend them to anyone, as well as vrbo. We have used air bnb in the past and never encountered these issues so we will be sticking to air bnb from now on.
Our stay at Bikini Bottom was amazing! We took a last minute trip to get away from 2020 :). We had originally booked a different property which we were unable to stay in because of previous guests with Covid. The team at Anna Maria Island Accommodations knocked it out of the park upgrading us the day of our trip to this amazing property. Brand new, fantastic decor, great location close walking distance to beaches, restaurants and shops we couldnt have been happier. They consistently reached out to see if there was anything we needed. Thanks Anna Maria Island Accommodations and Tea (who pulled this together for us).
The house was a very nice house but did not provide the essentials for cooking at home. When you rent a four bedroom home you expect the kitchen tools to cook for a large party, the house did not have that as an option. The washing machine was not working when we walked in the door, it took 4 days for someone to come out and then it was never fixed correctly. One of the toilets was running as well, that was fixed timely but should have never been an issue, it was running when we walked in the door and the repair man was extremely rude.We had arrived early, while I understand an early check in is not available in most cases, we asked if we could park our car in the driveway to walk to the beach, as you know if you are an AMI person parking is limited. We were told it would not be possible due to the fact the company cleaning would not clean if they saw a car in the driveway. Give me a break, does this company not communicate with their cleaning service?We asked for towels with a party of 8, you need that during your stay with no washing machine. They told us we could only have a few at a time. When the towels were delivered by the service it was a different tune, they acted like we could have as many as were required. This is the first and last time we will rent with this company, we have been coming to the island for 15 years and never have we been involved with a rental company with the lack of flexibility this organization has. I know they have to please their owners to maintain the business; it was not only the lack of flexibility but the way it was conveyed to us that was the issue, each time you spoke to the office you received a different response to your question. We were told our deposit would be returned 5-7 days after our rental, I call today and they told me it would be 2 weeks. We asked to rent the house 1 -2 days before and after our rental, one person would tell me to call a couple of weeks before we got there in the end it was the same week we arrived, I have no issue if that was the case, just tell me that up front and dont string someone along until the very end.
We loved our stay at Sealuxe! The home was absolutely beautiful and the pool/outdoor area set up was perfect! We had four couples so the bedroom suites and all four king beds worked well four us! The kitchen had everything we needed and more!!! The location is also ideal with a 2 nock walk to the beach and several places to eat or shop on pine Ave. the customer service from booking until we left was very professional and responsive! Everything was extremely clean and reservation specialists worked with us on reservation dates. There was an issue with the elevator and they took care of it and notified us before we even knew. They checked in to make sure everything was perfect for our family vacation.
We stayed at HavAnna Holiday 3 bed, 2 bath. It was sparkling clean when we arrived! The bedrooms were spacious enough for us with great closet space in 2 of them. Having 2 living room areas was great for when the guys were watching sports! The kitchen had everything we needed for the week of cooking! Updated appliances. Also a front loading washer and dryer! We enjoyed the large backyard and pool area! The grill needs a new pan but they were already working on that! We appreciated having the beach wagon, chairs and umbrella! The beach is such an easy, close walk! We also utilized the bicycles! We got to see the most beautiful sunrise on one of our rides!!! The lawn crew came on one of our pool days for a couple hours but the AMI Accommodations folks let us have a couple of hours extra on our checkout day which was amazing and so appreciated! We would definitely recommend this house for a fabulous time on AMI!!!
We have visited Anna Maria half a dozen times- and this time for the first time we booked our vacation home with Anna Maria Accommodations. I was so impressed with every part our stay with Anna Maria Accommodations! The check in and pre-stay process was seamless, our house was everything and more than we expected! The pool was the cleanest water of any pool we’ve stayed at on the island, the maintenance guy was awesome, and everyone at the company was so kind and accommodating! You have earned your self lifelong customers! Thank you !
Weve been coming to Anna Maria Island for 11 years now and most of those years weve chosen to rent from Anna Maria Island Accommodations because of the outstanding staff and general way of doing business in a customer friendly manner.Although there is business is outstanding Id stay away from the Blue Mermaid house as its showing its age (tiled countertops, chair rail molding, etc.) which makes it hard to keep clean. The only thing good about this house was proximity to the beach.
I stayed at the Beach Escape with Anna Maria Accommodations. I absolutely loved the home! I will say the master bedroom shower was really small, but the house has 3 full bathrooms and the other two have full bath and showers. The staff were extremely helpful and responsive! I will be booking again.
I was somewhat concerned about a few bad reviews; however, this house was perfect for our family of eight. Very clean inside and out. Obviously, remodeled recently and the pool area was perfect. Seen some negative reviews about the pool size but you’re on an island with small lots. If you want an Olympic pool, go to the ocean two blocks away! We’d stay here again and probably will....as far as the managers, we called because the supplied beach chairs were broken and old (salt water destroys things quickly). They brought us four new chairs in about 45 minutes.
My friends and I were so impressed with the casa Sierra, the minute we opened the door. The condo was super clean, cozy and inviting. We had nice surprises, like an ice maker,, large closets, we even found the mixer and wine opener. We left a couple of gifts behind for the next visitors, HotPads and safety tape on the stairs. We discovered the Western dryer downstairs, a large beautiful clean pool and a great back balcony. Only wish we had a couple extra trash can liners and better toilet paper to hold us over until we could go to the store and buy our own. Another plus was its only a block and a half from the beach. The best 10 days of my 1-month vacation! Thank you!
Had a Wonderful time, didnt want to leave! All of the staff was great! Rebecca in the office, Hunter in maintenance, pool guy, even the lawn care guys were so welcoming! Barefoot Bliss is now our home away from home! If you are looking to stay in Anna Maria Island we suggest that you book through Anna Maria Accomidations! This was our 3rd trip in 2 years, and they treated us great every time.
We just returned from an amazing stay at Dolphin Watch. The house’s location was fantastic! The house itself had lots of room, was very clean, the a/c worked great, and the beds were comfortable. The views were stunning. We saw dolphins almost every day and even watched stingrays swim by while we were sitting in the living room, that’s how great the views are! We walked out the back and snorkeled, fished, or just simply enjoyed the amazing wildlife. We ate at The Rod and Reel Pier which was delicious and close enough to walk to. We had a memorable stay and enjoyed every bit of it! The ladies with Anna Maria Island Accommodations were wonderful throughout the booking process to checkout. Definitely recommend the Dolphin Watch and AMI Accommodations!
Just back to work today after 2 lovely weeks of vacation on AMI and cannot say enough good about our experience. It was our first visit, and will not be our last. Our experience with Anna Maria Island Accommodations was nothing short of exceptional. We loved our Rental, and while we understand it is listed for sale, we are really hoping that it will still be a rental because we would very much like to return next year.Thanks for all the assistance from the check-in process, and recommendations, to the help with the pool, and also our internet outage. All assistance was very speedy and we were more than impressed. We would not hesitate to book with you again. Thank you for everything.
The folks at Anna Maria Island Accommodations are professional and efficient. We just spent another wonderful week on Anna Maria Island. We have rented weekly accommodations from this group several times in the past and have always been pleased. Our service calls are responded to immediately, and each home we have rented has been perfect--just as described on their website. We wouldnt rent through any other entity.
We really enjoyed our time at the beachology house. Great location, clean, and beautifully decorated. There were plenty of bedding, towels and a lot of dishes and cooking utensils for a big group. We will stay here again.Anna Maria Island Accomodations came within a half hour when we called after hours about air conditioning.
We had a really fantastic time at Peach Bellini in Holmes Beach!!The house is just as pictured — it’s absolutely lovely, clean, comfortable. Has everything you need.It feels very private — like a true vacation.The beach is less than 2 blocks which was super convenient!Anna Maria Island Accomodations were very responsive and professional while feeling warm and friendly.Cannot say enough good things — we will be back and will definitely rent from AMI Accomodations again!
DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY!!!We have never found ourselves unpacking for a vacation!! But that is exactly what we ended up doing thanks to Anna Maria Island Accommodations!! They called and left a voicemail and email 2 days before we were set to leave for the island - stating that because of a scheduling change with the owner of the property they would have to move us to a different property! I wasnt able to reach them until the following day because of demands at work. So I called first thing the day before we were supposed to leave. I was told my options were - they could move us to a property similar to what we had booked and a bit farther from the beach. Well that unit was pet friendly and we have allergies, so no go! The other options - houses that were outdated and further from the beach, also no go! I asked for an upgrade to a better house because of all the inconvenience! No sorry none of the owners of the upgraded houses wanted to work with them on price! So, I asked is that it? You are offering me no other acceptable options besides refunding us the money? Yes that is it! I stated we have everything ready to pack, rental car reserved, hotels booked for stop overs there and back, and house and dog sitters booked for others in our party! Tracy at AMIA says to me - well you should be able to find something and probably get a really great last minute rate!! Incredulous!!!!! We have booked vacation rentals through this company, other companies, VRBO, Airbnb, and private owners for over 20+ years!! Never ever has anyone ever cancelled on us like this! Hung us out to dry! Absolutely no caring, no compassion, and utter lack of customer service!! So instead of sitting out on our deck in Anna Maria we are home!! We literally did not have enough time to book anything else before we left because of work obligations! Not to mention they had already ruined our trip! So please, do yourselves a favor and book elsewhere! We did send a letter to the Chamber of Commerce in Anna Maria so they do have that on file! Please move on to any other company!!!!
AMI Accommodations is simply the best. Hands down ..!!Great follow up no hidden agendas.Your given a format to follow and it works not only for them, but for the guest.We stayed at Sand and Sea on Anna Marie Island. I hate given this review cause I don’t want to see a good thing get ruin.It’s a great little hideaway with a stones throw from the best beach.(Magnolia)I use to live in Bradenton for nearly 15 years.It’s great see some things never change.I have always enjoyed coming to this area and Sand and Sea is the icing on the cake.If you decide to stay there please leave it the way you found it if not better to preserve a little piece of paradise on AMI.Enjoy we certainly did ... can’t wait to come back.!!!
We loved this place! It had lots of seating, both indoors & out. It was close to the beach & not far from places to eat, etc. Plenty of dishes & utensils. The landscaping around the pool was the best I have seen. The elevator was very useful & the pool was relaxing. The first vacation we ever took where we did not turn on the tv once!
Absolutely beautiful and so much room. We stayed during hurrican/ tropical storm Eta and the house and property held up exceptionally. Flood water came up into the garage and front door but did not come into the house. The only complaint is the hot tub/spa, jets only worked for about 30 seconds at a time and water was a hit miss to get hot.
Had a great vacation what a beautiful place. The only issue was the master bed was to hard it needs to be changed or add a topper. If we had cleaning supply we would clean the counter and floor better maybe put some supplies there for people. This home was perfect it was in a great neighborhood, close to the beach cant wait to get back there. we recommend this house for sure thanks for letting us use it.
We have stayed at Sand and Seas in 2019 and enjoyed our week. Before our departure, we reserved a week in May 2020. Due to COVID-19, we had to cancel our trip as Florida was out of control. However, we rescheduled for two weeks in November 2020 and were able to move our security to the November stay.In mid August, Florida was still a hot spot for COVID-19 and I requested that we reschedule and again roll the $500 security deposit for the future trip. My wife was also scheduled for required surgery during our planned time.I was told that the security deposit could not be moved or refunded in full. If the unit was not able to be rented there would be no refund. I find this incomprehensible during a health pandemic. Our health is more important. I would not recommend using this agency. We have booked a month in 2021 with another agency at another location. Working with the new agency has been a pleasure and I would most certainly recommend them over ANNA Maria Accommodations.
The staff at AMI Accommodations is fantastic! The entire experience, from reservation to check-out, went smoothly. We stayed at the Lazy Loggerhead. The house was not only beautiful, it was spotless, fully stocked, and ready for move-in when we arrived. The location is a 10+++ We hope to return soon. Thanks!
We enjoyed Royal Palm - its spacious, nicely furnished and decorated and in a quiet neighborhood close to restaurants and shops in Holmes Beach. Although the pool was small, it had a nice hot tub and pretty surroundings. It was especially dramatic at night with pool lights and tiki torches. Also a pleasant screened in porch (lanai) overlooking the pool.
My group of four stayed at AMI Accommodations’ property called the Tipsy Turtle this past week. I wanted so bad to love this house and the choice we made. My friend and I spent days finding the perfect place that met all of our wants for our vacation to Anna Maria Island, and we felt that Tipsy Turtle was the perfect place. On our 16 hour drive to the house the day of check in, 3 hours before check in time, we receive a call that the kitchen will not be able to be cooked in due to not having parts for the oven or stove. We were very frustrated as we received this information with hardly any notice and we all love to cook and had meals planned. We also did not prepare for the cost to pay for meals out every day for four meal, cooking would have been much cheaper. We expected a return of some money since the kitchen is useless for cooking, and they said they could either put us in another property or offer at the most $200. The other properties that were available were not like tipsy turtle at all, including not being near the ocean. So we decided a discount would be best. We felt that $200 was ridiculously low when you consider how much we will be spending in eating out. After a back and forth with Tracy, we were transferred to speak to a manager, Tea. Tea was very helpful and understood our frustration thankfully. We came to an agreement and were told that we would also have an electric stovetop brought to the house. However, when we got to the house there was no electric stove top and it would have to be delivered Monday (we arrived Saturday.) We also got to the house to find it incredibly dirty. The floors were disgusting and grimy with hair and dirt all over, there was a used dirty towel downstairs in the cabana, the appliances in the kitchen were all dirty as well. We were so surprised to see this knowing that the reviews we had read were so great on Vrbo. We also find that the garage door was broken, the electric would flicker in and out and the breakers kept tripping so electric would completely shut off. We had to make sure we didn’t have more than one room lit at a time or the power would surge. We also found parts in the refrigerator to be broken, the A/C would go out and made the house incredibly hot, and the downstairs TV by the pool was broken and couldn’t be used. When we called to notify them of all this (Monday since they were closed over the weekend) they said they would send someone out to clean the house and a maintenance person if they had someone available. Neither a cleaning company or maintenance person ever visited the house our entire stay, we were there for 7 days. Next door were the same property owners, and had a maintenance truck there four separate times last week. Nobody ever called us to let us know that they just didn’t have anyone available, or to let us know the issue. Just nobody showed up. When we would bring these issues to their attention, including the issue with the kitchen in the beginning of this, we kept getting the excuse that this was a discount week that we were staying in. It felt clear to us that a discount week meant they don’t need to treat us like usual clients who typically pay “normal price”. We felt ignored, disrespected, and very disappointed. I feel that Vrbo also plays a part in this and I think fromnow on I will just use Air BnB, I have never had any of these issues using Air BnB.
I would give more than 5 stars if possible! Our rental was even more beautiful than the photos, and easily one of the cleanest vacation rentals we have ever stayed in. Everything was top notch from the first point of contact to when we left. AMI Accommodations really cares about your stay, and will do everything possible to take care of you. There were some small items that needed maintenance and the maintenance people always responded right away and fixed the problem on site without interfering in our vacation time. We did have trouble with the Wifi, but this ended up being a problem with the provider and the service provider not replacing the modem the first time. We look forward to using them year after year, and have already recommended them to friends and family as the best vacation rental company on the island!
The house was ok, location was good, but a bit dated. Walked in and the place was dirty, first thing we had to do was clean. The grill was so dirty it was a fire hazard. Light fixtures didnt all have lightbulbs. Electric and light at dock did not work. Some furniture was slightly damaged. We reported this to the management company, and they offered to help rectify some of the issues but by the time we connected our trip was almost over. They were happy to charge a cleaning fee, but there was literally food on the kitchen floor so not sure what they cleaned. The house served its purpose, but overall we were disappointed.
My family and I stayed at Starfish Cottage on 64th Street. I want to start off saying how absolutely beautiful the house was! We were a party of 7 adults and no children. Its nearly impossible to find a house with 4 bedrooms, let alone 4 bedrooms ALL with KING SIZE BEDS and a bathrooms for each room. There was a starter pack with dish soap, laundry detergent and coffee. Trashbags were in all trashcans and bar soap in each bathroom. We also loved that there were 8 beach towels to use throughout the week and plenty of bath towels for all of us. We had to use the dishwasher and the washer and dryer a couple times and they worked great and were easy to use. The bedroom fans were a little noisy but nothing we couldnt sleep through. (were all pretty heavy sleepers lol) The gas grill was a nice touch as well as the gas firepit! We arrived as tropical storm Sally was making its way towards land and soon after we arrived we noticed the umbrella on the table out back had broken in the heavy winds and storms so I contacted AMIA and it was fixed the next day.(on a Sunday!) While storming one evening, our electric went off for a hot minute but came right back on. The next morning we noticed the pool was cooler than it had been so I again contacted AMIA and a very nice gentleman came within 30 minutes to check out the pump and reset the heater.(apparently the storm did something to the breaker) Within another 30 minutes the pool was already warming up! The dining room/ kitchen had a huge table with ample space for everyone when we cooked at home or did carryout/delivery. Although, I wish I could say the same about the living room. With 4 bedrooms and a sleeper sofa, theres plenty of room for at least 10 people to SLEEP but not enough room for when everyone wants to hang out in the living room before bed considering there is a couch, loveseat, and one wicker chair. I would probably suggest more seating or maybe a different layout as at least 2 of us had to sit in the kitchen or go to our rooms to watch TV to prevent being crammed like sardines on the couch. Now about that poolside TV.. AMAZING🤩! We had the TV on every day either watching something or just listening to music. The back patio area and pool was a little on the small size especially for 7 adults. There were plenty of chairs to sit at the table or sit around the firepit but only 2 chairs to lay out in, which again isnt quite enough for 7 adults wanting to soak up the Florida sun! The outdoor shower was great. The little bench on the front porch was a nice little touch as well, making it easy for my mom and I to sit out there with our coffee in the mornings.This rental was great for the price and you cant beat the location. Of course we would all like to be beachfront but most of us cant swing $8-9k/week lol so this was definitely the next best. This was our second time going to AMI and we have all fallen in love. We will be back next year, no doubt, and we will absolutely check out AMIA listings first since we had such a pleasant experience.Thank you to the owners for sharing their vacation home and allowing my family and I to enjoy 10 days together in paradise making lifelong memories. ❤
There were 10 of us staying at the House and We had a great Time! It was a casual week and we felt right at home. We enjoyed the pool and walked to the beach. Restaurants and shopping were within walking distance. We were very fortunate, we didn’t know the island before, but our location couldn’t have been better. The staff was very helpful and easy to work with.
Just returned from spending a week at Snook Lookout with family members ranging from 13-71 years old. We have rented many homes for family vacations over the years and this house was one of the best ever! Not only was it spotless but the details of the interior decorations were impressive. From the jellyfish chandeliers to the wall paintings everywhere you looked gave off that beachy feeling. With ping pong, cornhole, putting green, etc., our family had many fun competitions.Even though the weather was warm, having the pool heated was a treat, since you could swim early in the morning to late at night. Our family members all agreed that this house made our vacation perfect. We cant wait to return!
We absolutely loved our Christmas vacation on the island! The unit itself was nice, cute décor and fairly clean. The kitchen was pretty worn and was lacking in some essential items like scissors, serving bowls, plastic glasses to name a few. The pool area was disappointing as there was no decking. All the outdoor furniture was very worn and in my opinion needs to be replaced. The grill definitely needs a good clean, we grilled a couple times and the first time we did there was so much grease built up we almost had a fire! Flames were coming out in every direction it was very scary! The one item that the owner can not change that was bothersome is that the unit smells like pizza.We will definitely be back although probably not to this unit.
Super pleased with the friendly, professional service we received from Anna Maria Accommodations. The initial booking process went smoothly. The accommodation we booked was beautifully decorated, clean, close to the beach as promised and well equipped. Upon arrival, Rob was so pleasant and helpful taking time to aid us in getting acquainted with the surroundings, restaurants and shops. We phoned on our second day to say we needed beach chairs and 2 brand new ones were delivered promptly. Vacation time is precious so it is a joy to receive top notch service.
This place is anything but professional! We’ve rented for over 15 years different properties and this year everything is different. They are not willing to work with their customers, they are only working against their customers. Travel restrictions and travel bans are out of our hands and not our fault. We are willing to travel but can’t right now due to COVID.They cancelled our first rental property without even talking to us about it, then we called them up and rescheduled our dates. Whenever we talked to them and rescheduled our dates, they said that this booking can not be cancelled free of charge HOWEVER we can reschedule if the situation continues to be that bad. So a few days ago we contacted them in regards to having reschedule again due to the current situation and all we get told is: they will cancel our reservation and won’t reschedule it because there are other families out there that are willing to travel unlike us - trust me we are willing to travel, we had everything booked (flights, rental car our wedding venue...) but we can’t travel due to travel restrictions.And they don’t even want to take a new reservation from us anymore because it’s rude of us to book and then to reschedule and not show up.So now we aren’t getting a refund and aren’t able to reschedule because it’s too much work and too stressful to deal with this. Although we were told differently. It seems like they don’t know what they’re actually doing and how to handle this situation.As I said before, we have booked for over 15 years with them and never had one single issue but this is just ridiculous and the worst customer service I’ve ever seen.If I could give this place 0 stars I would!
Stayed for a week in yellowbird B during covid and had a wonderful time. This unit has everything you could need and was very comfortable. Upon arrival the unit smelled clean and freshly disinfected. There were a couple of small maintenance items which were reported but did not affect our stay one bit. The management company was very quick to respond and would have gladly fixed them while we were there, but we opted to wait. Our questions were answered in a timely manner and we were very impressed with the company. Cant wait to come back and stay again. I would highly recommend this unit or any other thats being managed by AMIA! Thank you!
This was our second Christmas in a row at this house. Last year I left a lengthy list of concerns and nearly every one was attended to over the past year. I love the privacy of the property and the backyard is exception! This rental property is a great place for families with adult kids to reunite for a great time! Anna Maria Island Accommodations has stepped up their game and kept the price reasonably affordable! We had a great stay and are planning for next year already! High recommend!😍😎
⚠️ WARNING PLEASE READ ⚠️REMEMBER THE ONE STAR REVIEWS ARE THERE FOR A REASON. My husband and I were planning a trip in the middle of september with our family. While searching for homes on VRBO we found one located in anna maria island. Against my better judgment we used a rental property called anna maria island accommodations. My husband figured we should support smaller mom and pop companies. We called anna maria island accommodations and spoke to an employee named guy. Guy advises us to purchase their rental insurance just in case. Guy tells my husband and I about a great insurance company they use called CSA. Everything seemed to go smoothly while booking. My husband and I pay our balance in full with our debit card. Fast forward a few days my husband sustains a back injury causing us to have to cancel our trip. I call anna maria island and speak to kelly. We are informed that we would need to make a claim with CSA. Kelly tells us that our reservation would be canceled and if the property was rented out for our same days we purchased we would receive a full refund directly from anna maria island accommodations. This all seemed to make sense to my husband and I. My husband goes to his doctor and has all of the medical paperwork filled out. We send in a claim to CSA insurance. While going through the claims process we were advised the property was rented out for the same days we purchased. CSA insurance agent tells us our claim is being approved but since the property has been rented out anna maria island accommodations is responsible for a large portion of our refund. We contacted anna maria island accommodations and speak to the manager named Tea. She informs my husband that she was in contact with the agent but hasnt figured out the numbers. She would get back to him. The CSA agent contacts my husband the next day informing him that he spoke to Tea and she agreed anna maria island accommodations would reimburse a large portion of the cost since they rerented the property. He also advises us to call them for additional information about payment. My husband has since been trying to speak with tea for over a week. Everytime he calls she is busy or not in the office. Its insane that we have had more feedback from a major corporate company and a small real estate company cant communicate or be professional. We will be contacting VRBO the homeowners and BBB. The fact that anna maria island accommodations is attempting to extort us is disgusting. IN CLOSING DO NOT USE THIS RENTAL PROPERTY COMPANY.

We have used AMIA the last couple of years for our annual spring break trip to Anna Maria island. We have found them very responsive to customers needs. They are consistently upbeat and friendly. Everyone I have spoken to or have met seems willing to put in the time, energy and effort to ensure my family has a great vacation.
We spent a delightful week in a waterfront home with an amazing view.The house was clean and everything worked. When we ran out of propane for the BBQ, they swapped in a full tank within an hour of our call! Very pleased with the rental and would absolutely rent again.
We have rented from AMIA four times and keep returning to them year after year. The level of customer service is amazing, the rental process is very organized and they keep in touch via email. The manage a wide variety of homes-- with a myriad of options. Their descriptions are always clear and easy to follow. Any time we have had a minor maintenance concern or question, they have been able to answer or resolve the issue quickly and easily. We also rent during the week of Christmas, and while they are closed for Christmas Day-- they are careful to communicate the hours they are open and when they reopen. We plan to rent from them again for our next trip to AMI.
The communication with Anna Maria Island Accommodations was stellar, from the moment we made reservations to check in. When we picked up the rental packet, the gentleman who checked us in was quite thorough, giving detailed directions to the rental and providing suggestions for local restaurants. The entire family thoroughly enjoyed our time in the comfortable home close to a beautiful beach!
We recently tried to rollover our deposit like we were told on the phone, however the lady assisting us with this stated that they are not willing to do this. Upon the property being rebooked they refused to return our deposit. They broke a legally binding verbal agreement and still refused to do anything to compensate us back our deposit or allow us to rollover it to a later date. Was reaching out to others on this review that had similar issues as I will be contacting the legal office Tuesday when they open. Luana is a great home for a family vacation. Its spacious enough for six adults and pretty well stocked with everything you need. I guess the best review is that wed book it again. There are some things worth mentioning; some other reviews commented on the dryer. Our experience is that if you didnt overload the (stackable) dryer there was not an issue. We had problems with the freezer and icemaker working. AMIA dispatched a repairman. I dont know if the icemaker was replaced, but it probably needs it. With six adults the internet interruptions were annoying. Dont know if thats simply Spectrum service or the hurricane effect during our stay. This last one may be just us, but the king bed in the master was simply not comfortable. Maybe were just not fans of platform beds. Everyone else was happy with their beds. As noted, well be back again.
What a wonderful month at the SeaTurtle House on Anna Maria Island. Anna Maria Island Accommodations really does a nice job with the properties they represent. We were so pleased with this house. It was spotless, the pool and grounds were taken care of weekly and the few minor maintenance items I had were handled so quickly & kindly. This house has an open, spacious floorplan, a nice kitchen & bathrooms, especially the shower in the master bath! The new outdoor living furniture by the pool was great, we ate many meals outside & used the grill almost every night. The property looks just like the photos, tvs in the bedrooms (that we didnt use) and a large smart tv in the living room so we had all the comforts of home with netflix/amazon/etc. We were very close to the beach & walking distance from some nice restaurants, bars, a liquor store, the post office and a great gym that we joined for the month. We also brought bikes and went everywhere. The only time we got back in the car was when we left the island. We will rent here again and if this property is not available, well choose one managed by AMI Accommodations.
Our visit to AMI was relaxing and enjoyable while staying at Nirvana. Fortunately the weather in January was unseasonably warm thus we used the pool and hot tub almost daily.Nirvana is spacious, comfortable and well equipped with modern appliances and features. The many indoor and outdoor seating areas made for easy entertaining. The maintenance company was timely in responding. Nirvanas setting is beautifully landscaped,private and a quick 10 minute walk to the beach.On the down side the daily construction on the street was a major inconvenience and distraction (7-5 M-F). We wouldn’t think twice about returning to Nirvana, but would check first on the construction.
AMI Accommodations was the best rental company Ive ever dealt with. Their pre-arrival and departure communications were superior. And the few minor maintenance issues we had during our stay were handled with courtesy and whiplash speed! What a great group of folks they have on staff.
They lied to me on the phone so they could take our money with no intention of following through with the guidance we were given on the phone.We planned our trip when the number of confirmed COVID cases was steadily declining and all states and businesses were reopening. Before we provided our payment, we asked what their policy was if we were unable to attend due to COVID-19 restrictions. Anna Maria Island Accommodations (AMIA) told us that if travel restrictions were implemented, that they would work with us to reschedule.This was a lie! They took our $2,000 payment. Fast forward 2 months and now the number of COVID-19 cases in Florida has grown so much that our home state has a quarantine restriction in place for all persons traveling from Florida. We called AMIA to reschedule our trip and we were told by three separate persons that we would not be allowed to reschedule and that we would have to cancel our reservation and we would only be receiving a refund if they are able to re-book the property for the same dates at the same rate. We contacted the agency we placed the reservation through, who contacted AMIA, and we received a call back from AMIA asking us if wed like to cancel. I advised that I wanted to reschedule and their manager, Ryan, was the first person who told us they would allow us to reschedule, but he added a new stipulation, that it needed to be within 2020. I told him that we were not told this when we asked before providing payment and his response was, Well, did you ask?Their policy also states that all cancellations must be provided in writing, however they cancelled our reservation on us without being provided with written authorization.DO NOT RENT WITH THIS AGENCY. They pick and choose which stipulations within their policy they choose to honor. Every time you speak with a different person youll get different answers and its obvious theyre making up their policies as they go so they can keep as much of their customers money as possible. They dont care about their customers and theyll say whatever they need to say on the phone to take your money.IN RESPONSE TO THE OWNER:I did not want a refund. What I wanted was to reschedule the trip, which is what was promised to me over the phone when I asked what would happen should there be travel restrictions imposed by my state during the scheduled trip dates. I was told if that if there were restrictions I would be able to reschedule my trip or get a refund. When I said I wanted to reschedule the trip I was told by two different employees that I could not reschedule that I had to cancel. After speaking to a manager, I was then told that I could reschedule, but it needed to be within the next three months. Clearly the staff makes up their own policies as they go. I never agreed to a refund, because I knew that offer was a rip off. How is any customer able to actually know what rates this agency is able to re-rent a property under. This is a dishonest company who will say whatever they need to say to their customers to take their money.
Hugely disappointingWe made our initial booking at the start of the year for our stay in Aug . We were then advised that the seller had decided to sell the property which was fair enough and we identified another property called ‘ Island Memories’ .The property itself was exactly as advertised and lovely ... however two days after our arrival the builders arrived to work on the property next door which was a complete re build. Each day from 730 am the noise was awful whether it was the crane or the constant banging and van / truck movement. The builders even parked in the driveway of the property we were staying.We complained immediately to Rebecca which was close to a waste of time . She could not bother even traveling the 500 metres from her office to see what we complained about . She eventually managed to secure a refund of 10% which we felt was totally derisory .We had looked forward to our stay on this beautiful island and at the price we paid did not expect to be on a building site . Sorry but would not recommend using this company and suggest to book direct if possible
Stayed in Nirvana in the summer. We have used this company many times and have had many wonderful vacations! Nirvana is beautiful. Only 2 negatives. There are palm trees that drop fruit in the back. The fruit collects at the bottom of the trees rotting making the backyard smell gross when the wind blows a certain way. Hundreds of flies were swarming around it. Contacted the company to bring us a shovel and they immediately brought one for us and my husband shoveled the rotten fruit out. Super gross!!! There was also construction going on next door which was loud and annoying because you get a direct view of the yard. There is little vegetation bordering that property. There could be better beach chairs and there was no umbrella. The house itself was very clean and beautiful. The only negative about this company as they have a very rude lady that works answering the phones. Shes very unpleasant however she does get the job done so not too much to complain about as everytime we spoke to her she got our requests taken care of. She just was not the nicest.
AMIA is the best vacation rental service on Anna Maria Island. My husband and I have been renting from them for years. Not all rental places are the same--we know, we booked with another company one time and found we were saddled with a high deposit and an unexpected last minute charge to heat the pool! Never again. The people at AMIA are knowledgeable about all things Anna Maria, friendly, helpful, and efficient, and accommodating.
We had no hot water for 5 out of 7 days of our vacation with our two small children. We were covered head to toe in germs from our flight, sand, sunscreen, sweat and chlorine. The woman we spoke to at the main number wasn’t apologetic in the least and didn’t even act mildly concerned about getting the issue addressed for us. There were property managers and plumbers coming in and out of the rental daily. Not only was our comfort compromised but so too was our privacy and security, as well as our children’s sleep/nap schedules which caused issues for us the entire vacation. When we were finally linked up with Taia, one of the managers, we were pleased that she had a sense of understanding as to how much the issue had impacted our vacation and yet we were severely disappointed at how very little was done to accommodate the inconvenience. When you spend your hard earned money to fly away and enjoy a vacation with your family in the precious few days you have off each year, it isn’t outlandish to expect a certain degree of comfort... at the very least warm water to wash with. Instead we flew home disappointed, disheartened, and feeling like we needed a vacation from our vacation. I urge you not to settle on renting from this management company. Providing their guests with a positive experience isn’t even in their priority list and they will do very little to compensate for things going wrong.
Requested a follow up on next door guests being obnoxious and disrespectful in common areas such as pool and laundry room . Nothing is done still. Awful experience. Ruined my vacation. Will not rent again. Took photos of what next door renters doing. 310 magnolia property. Beware if you rent B unit, they treat as second class person.
My three stars are for value. We stayed in a beautiful home in a great location. For the price I would have enjoyed having all the appliances to be in perfect working order; and maybe access to more than 1 roll of toilet paper per bathroom, 1 roll of paper towels, and a whopping 6 beach towels. I know they are not running five star hotels, but at least let your renters stop by your office for another roll of tp, or a couple packs of coffee. They must hear it often, because I was told about the toiletries policy at booking, again on the agreement, at check in, and once more posted on the refrigerator.
After e-mailing back and forth with one of their associates about a specific rental house, we received a written quote for the dates requested and began to make plans around those dates (found airfare, discussed with other families taking their vacation with us, took off time from work). After giving our credit card information as a deposit for the house, was informed that the written quote was not correct (staff had made an error) and that they could not do anything to bring the new cost closer to the written quoted cost we had received. Wasted so much of our time! I would caution everyone that the quote you receive may not be the actual price that youll be paying!
We have always loved Anna Maria Island and this was our sixth visit to the island and it was wonderful as usual. We stayed at Island Girl West and unfortunately our stay there did not match the beautiful island. On the surface Island Girl is well-appointed and maintained. Unfortunately it is right next door to a lift station for the sewage system. This wasnt mentioned in the description for Island Girl West and believe me, we would have chosen a different property to stay in! The smell was unfortunate, especially after a rain. Another concern is that the pool for Island Girl West was shared with Island Girl East. Not such a problem; an opportunity to meet others, we thought. The other guests however, DID NOT want to meet us or share the pool and the wife made that clear in a rude rejecting manner.We were never offered the remote to the garage, which would have been an ideal place to store beach accouterments, The master bathroom contained a toilet that ran intermittently, always waking us. The dishwasher required the strongest setting in order to get the dishes clean and the laminate flooring was unstable in three places, which pinched the feet if stepped upon in a certain manner. Our guests complained about the guest room bed as being uncomfortable with bedding that was inadequate. When I brought these problems to the attention of the agent, I was gently informed that I should have called the maintenance men and that garage remotes were only available upon request. So....If you stay in Island Girl West, ask for the garage remote, expect to share the pool, and experience smells after every rain. While the folks at Anna Maria Accommodations are very nice we will not be staying in one of their properties again.
These folks are top notch. We have booked with them for a couple of years and no complaints. This year there was a problem with the house we booked, they relocated us no problem to a place that was nicer then our first one. They followed up to make sure all was OK a number of times. Thank you Anna Maria Island Accommodations.
We have rented from AMI accommodations for 4 years, 6 weeks in those 4 years and never had an issue until this last rental, when it was claimed we trashed the unit, requiring an extra crew and destroyed bedding, they kept $200 of our deposit, this is on top of the $160 cleaning fee which we always pay. We did receive photos showing one bloody hand towel (we had a bloody nose the last morning), about 4 drops of blood on the bathroom toilet and shower tiles, and a ripped pillow sham cover. The sham, truly I dont know if we did it or not, I do know it was not a new sham, so I also dont know what is normal wear and tear. Once we received the photos of the damage, I questioned if it was truly out of the scope of normal cleaning, because you would think it would be within the $160 regular cleaning to clean the bathroom. After I question this, I never heard from them again, despite several calls, messages and emails. Now we are months past our rental in January, and not a word. My lesson learned is to video rentals when we come in and when we go out. I am sorely disappointed in AMI accommodations, how they handled this matter and the lack of response. We have recommended them to several friends in the past 4 years, but that all came to an end.
Stayed at Tarpon Lookout October 5th thru the 19th.The house was gulf front and beautiful!! Traveled with my now fiancé, and we both loved it!I proposed on the first Thursday of our stay at the Beach House Restaurant, and that, along with the wonderful accommodations made out stay magical!Anna Maria Accommodations made everything so easy. From check-in to check-out we didn’t have even one issue.Thanks again for the wonderful memories!!!
This has been the second year we have rented from AMI Accommodations and remain 100% pleased. The home is just perfect for our lifestyle, well stocked with all the essentials, very clean and well maintained. The staff continue to be very helpful and accommodating throughout our stay.
Ive used them many many times about seven different visits the service is always outstanding and they have tremendous choices as well as support and suggestions for you need it to extend your stay come earlier. Every place Ive stayed has always been really clean and exactly as advertised. They also provide detailed information about the island and if youre hanging around and its not too busy you can get some great tips from the people that are there about where to go and what to do local information is always good and theyre willing to share but you have to be sensitive about how busy it is.
This house was nothing short of amazing! Perfect location and was immaculate! AMI Accommodations was so on top of everything the entire week we were there. If we had even simple question they were there to take the call. Thank you again for a lovely time in AMI and we all cannot wait to come back!
Recently stayed on Anna Maria Island, week of August 3rd-10th. Booking process was simple, staff extremely polite and professional. Absolutely loved the island. House was exactly as described. Would highly recommend visiting the island and using Anna Marina Island Accomodations. We will definitely be back.
We rented a cozy home thru ami accommodations. It was very easy and convenient. The staff was great. We had an unfortunate issue with our home that we rented but the staff was on top of things and made things right immediately. Rent thru this management company with confidence. They were great and we look forward to booking with them again.
Stayed in one of their accomodations oct 5 to 12th.We got to the cottage at around 6.30pm to graduall loss of power followed by a complete outage.The out of hours responded quickly. He came and reassured us. Went on line to check the situation and drove to investigate progress.He made provisional arrangements for us to stay in another property as we had a 22 month old and without air it was hot!The power came on and he stayed to make sure everything was working. He came back the next not no g to check we were okay.I completed the satisfaction survey at the end of the week and I listed the little things thats were ot a real issue.He came out and fixed them before we left.100% sure we will use them again.All staff were super helpful at every stage.Excellent customer care.
I booked a house with this organization for a week stay well in advance. Unfortunately my traveling companion came down with an illness that didn’t allow her to fly 10 days prior departure. Learning of my predicament this company put on a “full court press” and successfully rebooked it at the last minute. This caused very minimal financial loss. I usually do not write negative reviews, but if I could give this company ZERO stars for customer service, I would. We unfortunately had to cancel our trip because of the Global Pandamic (COVID) When we called to speak to them, Susan (who isn’t even an employee) answered the phone and told us we would have to pay a cancellation fee. We told them we aren’t cancelling bc we wanted too, we are being forced to cancel and we didn’t think it was right to be charged a fee, so she asked the actual manager there (Matt) and he said they would WAIVE the cancellation fee and give us a 100% full refund. We were fully satisfied after that conversation until the transaction came through and they didn’t follow on their word. They charged us the cancellation fee and when I called to discuss it, the customer service was HORRIBLE. Matt said I was confused and since they don’t have it marked down in their notes, that I am mistaken. Maybe they should’ve had someone that actually works there making the notes in their system and maybe they should’ve done the right thing and not to go back on their word. RUDE AND UNETHICAL!!
Really stellar customer service. A small thing, but we were out of propane, and facing a (quarantined) household with hungry faces. They answered my question (via chat!) and had someone here within 20 minutes with a new tank. Small, yes, but those are the things that matter.
Rebecca just wowed me by taking the time to clarify an issue I had regarding a cancellation. I was very displeased earlier, but am very satisfied with the results rectifying the issue. I wasn’t going to use AMI accommodations, but certainly will go to them for my next rental. I’m hoping that will be very soon!!
I NEVER POSTED A GOOGLE REVIEW IN MY LIFE BUT this place deserves a negative five stars. I’ve been coming to the island for 10 years and this is the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Most times they’ve accommodated our stay. However this time they didn’t even seem to have time to even talk to us on the phone and we’re extremly rude to our entire party. AMI is a popular place to go, and they could rent this place out anytime out of the year however they could careless if we were the PAYING customer. YOU CAN RENT YOUR STAY ON OTHER WEBSITES AND I WOULD HIGHLY RECCOMEND THAT YOU DO. I wouldn’t recommend going to this place if you want to be respected. Extremely disappointed.
We’ve stayed here on vacation the last few years homes are always clean although I don’t understand why we pay a cleaning fee if they ask us to clean before we leave anyway...the beds have always been really uncomfortable this year we stayed 2 weeks and had a terrible time with the beds we won’t be staying with this company ever again

2022-04-12I did not have a great experience renting from this company. I just returned from a week at “Beach House”. The location of the home was great, but it needs A LOT of TLC. The home is well stocked but completely unorganized and messy. Pool pump did not work. The pool water was green with algae, bricks falling off into the pool, trash and broken furniture all around the pool deck. Exposed wires and broken lights on pool deck. Inside, the bathroom door was falling off the hinge. Good luck trying to get anyone at the office to help. They seem annoyed when you call. They promise people will come out to address issues, but they don’t. I spent the first 3 days making calls to the company, follow up calls and requesting to speak to the manager, Nicole. Nicole never called and the pool wasn’t fixed until Wednesday. Extremely frustrating and disappointing. I will not rent from them ever again.

2022-06-21This was our second time booking through Anna Maria Island Accomodations. We had a lovely stay and they were quick to respond with any questions. My only complaint is the lack of basic kitchen extras: spices, aluminum foil, salt etc...stuff like that. A lot of house rentals we stay at will have a cabinet filled with these items and it is just so nice to have. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes, pots and pans and serving dishes. Beautiful property. Very well maintained.

2022-03-26We stayed at Beach Retreat a block from Holmes Beach. What an awesome week, we had. Four couples from all over the US flew in, the accommodations were ample for (8) adults. The home was very clean and spacious. Highly recommend this home and location.

2022-03-06Horrible experience dealing with this company. We booked a house and less than 12 hrs later we decided to cancel. They told us we cannot have our deposit back unless someone rents the property for the exact time frame. Someone did, so we contacted them again and they said our money would be refunded at the end of the month. We waited it was not, we called again and this time they said because it was rented at a lower rate we will not be refunded out deposit. I read the contract and it states in the contract we will be refunded less the lower rate and fees. They told us we get nothing back. It was a 1,000 dollars they refuse to return to us. If this isn’t the biggest scam ever. I am calling the Florida attorney generals office and filing a complaint against this company. They owe us money

2022-06-21We stayed at Deja Blu and it was beautiful! The house was very pretty, clean and the pool/hang out area is amazing! Love that each bedroom has its own bathroom. There are 2 reasons I didn’t give it 5 stars - first the towels were very thin and poor quality. The beach towels were thicker than the bath towels. The second reason is there weren’t any basics supplies. We’ve stayed in many places before and usually people leave salt/pepper, foil, oil, coffee filters, etc. people leave stuff behind that way you don’t have to buy everything. It’s was obvious this stuff is cleaned out each time. There wasn’t anything left for the next person. Not a huge deal but would make a big difference for your guests. Would definitely rent here again!

2021-08-19We loved our stay at Carefree Cottage! The place is adorable and the decor is warm & welcoming. The house was very clean yet comfortable and not too formal. We felt at home from the start and really enjoyed our stay. We had a small issue with our thermostat the first day and the maintenance person was there very quickly and resolved the problem. The outdoor patio and pool area was wonderful and we spent a lot of time there. The location is a short walk to the beach and fairly close to most island activities. Overall a great place to vacation!!

2022-05-09For my wifes 30th birthday, myself and our large group of friends decided to rent one of AMIs properties in Bradenton Beach for the weekend. It was a short drive from Downtown Tampa where most of us live. Whoever manages their text for help system was extremely responsive. I bombarded them with questions, and received a timely response every time. I arrived at the same time as the inspector (I was slightly early). I told her I had groceries and a cake that I need to get in the fridge and she let me in while she worked.The house was everything it was cracked up to be. If you have a group of friends or families, this house will not disappoint. Ample space, all of the amenities you will need, the pool and hot tub are next level. It is a short 3 min walk to either the beach or Bridge St. We loved every second of it.10/10, 5 Stars. We might make this a yearly trip!

2022-06-11We rented Meant To Be using AMIA. The customer service was great, timely and attentive. The house was great! Great location, great pool area. A couple of suggestions that wouldve made it better was to have ceiling fans and a refrigerator in the game room next to the pool. Overall, great vacation and great service from AMIA. Thanks

2020-11-06Location was great, two block from the beach, two blocks from the Ugly Grouper. The house was nice overall, but the kitchen was a little dated and although the towels were white, they were a little stained... Also, the beds are typically more comfortable in vacation houses / hotels, but they were ok I guess. We liked that there were two bathrooms, a drive way, and the pool was awesome (although a little small).PROS:The island is amazing, so many things to do and the nature and animals are so beautiful! The beach is gorgeous! And sometimes you could see dolphins and manatees swimming in the gulf! We visit AMi at least once a year! Free trolley, monkey bus, so many restaurants, and a short drive from many towns/cities for shopping and other activities! The golf carts are so fun to see driving through the island too!We liked the privacy of having our own private pool and back yard!CONS:#1I wanted to make sure that I had the accurate access code since I knew we were going to be arriving at our property rather late... IT WAS NOT WORKING! I specifically asked a couple days before even getting on the plane to make sure. I had to call the afterhours number at 4am to ask for another access code... AND when I called the AMIA office to let them know, they could give a s**t... no apology, nothing#2The f***ing ALARM! I understand that there is a regulation/ law or some BS that requires these things on the properties with pools... but this was RIDICULOUS! One night we went out and we come back to the police out in front! How embarrassing! They said that the alarm triggered them to come by but I am sure one of the neighbors called it in cuz it is loud and annoying! (sounds sort of like a car alarm) When I called the office to inform them they did not even apologize / explain anything. The cops were super nice and had a good attitude! I mean they work on an island! How bad could it be? :)#3Our kitchen light was not working, and when I called to report it, I was informed that a maintenance person would come out to check on it. That took two days. Although the maintenance guys was super nice, he said that an electrician would have to come out but we did not have to be in. We went out the night they were scheduled to come and no one showed up. I got a call the next day from the AMIA office and they said they would reschedule it for a different day after we departed.... when I asked So we wont have a kitchen light for the rest of our stay? I got the response We thought it wasnt a big deal. Well, I wouldnt have reported it if I didnt want it fixed... When the electricians came out, they said they did come in on the initially scheduled day, but were not provided a code and there was no one to let them in. Turns out one of the breakers needed to be replaced.#4I asked for a late check out and of course it was a no... like through all of this drama I feel like we should have been given something; I did not ask for a discount, but definitely expected something... anything!#5Pest control. I worked poolside, and got very chewed up one day while sitting at the patio table. Please have someone come out and take care of this issue. We also saw rats one day when we decided to grill... that should not be up to vacationers to deal with...I was also disappointed with the lack of beach gear available... THIS IS SUPPOSED TO BE A BEACH HOUSE!Good thing that there are many rental property agencies on the island to choose from, many with way better customer service! Other agencies even make sure to leave a bottle of champagne to welcome us with! I was told that the light would be on so that we knew this was for sure our property... not even that was done... this is definitely the worst customer service experience that I have ever had!The whole point of going on vacation is to be able to relax, not deal with all of these problems... this was also our first time bringing friends to the island and these issues were 100% avoidable and a little embarrassing...AMIA-please train your employees in customer service
