Once I requested a document from Jake at 11 p.m. and wasnt expecting an answer before morning. But when I went to sign off an hour later, the document was waiting in my inbox. I am a senior real estate broker at this firm and consistently a top producer. It is a great place to work and is family owned and operated. Lloyd and Tammy Berger are great people to work with and they truly care about their employees and clients. I have worked in the past at the large public firms and could not stand the territory and client battles as well the internal corporate politics . Lots of people with their hands out when you make a deal. We have 12 brokers in Fort Lauderdale office and everyone does their own thing and we occasionally partner up on bigger projects and listing. We have a strong camaraderie and value of independence. We recently became an affiliate of the TCN network of national independent firms and can provide RE services in most major cities across the US. We can compete against all of the national firms and our senior agents all average over 20 years in the business.

This managing company really is the worst. They are very disorganized and quite unprofessional in that whenever we, as tenants, ask for something to be handled...they just give some lame excuse as to why they cant do anything. We teach a class in our office twice a month and the students need to be able to focus. Instead, there is ongoing construction in the building that completely disrupts. And when we ask for them to please be considerate to our very minimal schedule, they tell us no. They have no security process here. we have two floors and multiple offices and we are bombarded with solicitors daily (avg about 3 salesmen a day). They have gradually taken away our parking so we have had to make our own agreement with other tenants to trade off parking spaces as needed for our clients. Today, at 12:39pm received an email saying that they are doing plumbing maintenance and that the water was turned off and wont be back on til 2pm and sorry for the short notice. Yeah, REALLY short notice for something that you knew you had planned. Youd think for paying over $1500 a month for a small office, wed get a bit better service or at least more organized management.

Been renting a space for about 2 years. They are totally unwilling to work with you. They say its a landlord market. We are trying to move into a bigger spot since we out grew our current location and they really do not care about the tenants. I normally do not write reviews, but the disrespect I was shown from this company force me to do this. They told me that they will not even paint or re-carpet the new spot since the market is so hot they can find another tenant who will cover those costs. They up the rent 3% per year. They make you pay for an AC contract to take care of your AC - which wouldnt be an issue, but NO ONE ever comes to our shop to checkout our unit or change filters. They just tack on another $50 a month for a service that they do not do. Also Good luck trying to get in touch with them once you sign a lease - they are non existent. I really liked the location because its close to my house, but they really are terrible to work with. You pay a premium for everything now. They are trying to get me to cover the AC Units that are in the new building. These are not my AC units and I do not get to keep them when I leave - why should I be responsible for replacing them or fixing them if they break? No other place that I have leased had people like this running it. Eventually they will burn all their bridges and when people realize how terrible of a company they are -they will stop renting the units they own. Eventually it will catch up to them. You can only rape the small people for so long.
The experience with Berger Commercial has been excellent, we are moving from one of its properties to another and the transition through Sussette Sortino has been easy, on time, quick answers, very personalized attention, it feels like it is given importance to our needs, we are very grateful.
