My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our kayak tour with Mike. The route was really nice and pleasant passing by beautiful yatchs and houses in 7 Isles and Mike, our guide, was entertaining and funny. He pointed out several facts about history, nature and life in Florida that we found very interesting. We would definitely recommend this tour and Mike as well.
We had SO much fun in our kayak tour with Lauren! The kayaking itself was not hard at all, but very enjoyable. We saw lots of wildlife, beautiful houses, and yachts. Lauren was an awesome guide, super laid back and fun. She also gave us a lot of history about the area which we enjoyed! High recommend! We would definitely do it again!
A great tour of the waterways! Lauren was very knowledgeable about the area as well as the wildlife here. We were able to see many amazing plants and birds along the way. Relaxing and very fun!

We were beginner kayakers and due to the somewhat chilly weather, we were the only people on the tour. Jacob was a great tour guide - patient in teaching us and encouraged us throughout the tour. He was not only informative about the things we were seeing and general Fort Lauderdale history but also gave us several recommendations to see and do in the area. He told us about the Riverwalk and we would have missed it otherwise. We enjoyed chatting with him and seeing the Seven Isles. We would go again!
We took the Valentines Day Private Moonlight paddle board tour with Jake. He was an absolute amazing tour guide and very knowledgeable. I highly recommend this company. Thanks Jake, for giving my boyfriend and I a great experience!
Kayak tour was phenomenal! Our guide and owner Lauren, with Winnie the pup, catered to all skill levels and gave great info on wildlife, plants, and architecture!Would recommend calling for directions/parking info ahead of time, or just parking right by the Tiki Hut.
Great tour! I had never been on a kayaking tour before, and this was an awesome first experience. Our guide, Wesley, did a great job and it was the most enjoyable 2 hours. He was very knowledgeable! I will bring my friends and family to do this tour. I’m excited that they offer a full moon tour and will be back for that.

Best Kayak spot in Fort Lauderdale! Brought by friends from California and Texas here and they LOVED the beautiful views of the waterways and intercoastal, plus Marine Mike and Lauren were so helpful and hospitable! 10/10 recommend!

We always have a great time kayaking with Blue Moon. The “Sweetheart Paddle” last night was so much fun. The weather was perfect. Nice breeze and calm water. There is plenty of parking and check-in is quick and easy. The staff are very friendly and engaging. The kayaks and gear are clean and well maintained. We paddled for about 2 hours through Fort Lauderdale’s waterways, marveling at huge yachts and some truly stunning homes. Halfway through the tour, we stopped to relax and enjoy a champagne toast along with chocolate covered strawberries. A lovely way to celebrate Valentine’s Day. Thank you Blue Moon!

The full moon kayak tour was awesome! Seeing the moon, planets (Jupiter, Venus and Mars) and beautiful homes along the water made for a fun time and great date night. The guides Lauren and Levi were excellent.
Our group of four had an awesome time with Lauren leading us through seven Isles in Fort Lauderdale while watching the sun set. I was the only beginner and she took extra time to make me feel comfortable. She told us a lot about the neighborhoods we kayaked through. We learned about the different kinds of mangroves, ate sea grapes and saw dozens of herons and iguanas sleeping in the trees. It was a wonderful way to enjoy the late evening on the water. Thank you Lauren for the memories. We will be back for your full moon tour!
I decided to take the 2 hour kayak tour based on the reviews I already read. Upon arrival I was greeted by Lauren, the owner. She explained she was going to be our tour guide. After she gave us instructions on how to kayak, we were on our way. This tour did not disappoint. Lauren was amazing! She was very informative, personable and made us feel comfortable. She went at a pace we were comfortable with and we never felt rushed.I would highly recommend this tour! We had a blast. She even took plenty of pictures for us to remember our trip.

We had the best time taking our pup out on a tandem kayak from Blue Moon. Loren was so helpful and showed us great spots to stop for our dog to run and play! The kayak was clean and the lifejackets provided had no smell, which I appreciated because I have used other companies before and their lifejackets had a mildew smell. The location is great and safe and it was awesome looking at all the yachts close by on the water. Will use them again in the future! Highly recommend calling in advance because they were really busy!

We took the kayak guided tour with Howie. Such fun. The staff is top notch. Attentive, courteous and so nice. They go out of their way to make sure you have a good time and have the skills to navigate the kayak safely. Howie is a comedian and makes the entire adventure. He knows everything about the area, flora and citizens of Fort Lauderdale. I am a local. Will be making this a regular thing. Thanks guys for a great time!
Horrible experience, we couldn’t even finish our 2 hours we paid for. The Instructor wouldn’t help or direct us on how to use it correctly.
This is the best kayak rental place we’ve ever used! Signing up for our time slot was very easy, and the staff are phenomenal! So we’ll informed and patient, even if you’re new or experienced at kayaking you’ll feel safe and secure. The map of the local area was very helpful and allowed us to make the most of our time. Can’t wait to use them again!

One of the best parts of our whole vacation. Thank you so much to Howie, Tova, and Jacob for a fantastic kayak trip. They took such great care of us and made us feel safe but let us paddle on our own a little bit. They have a wealth of knowledge about the area and the flora and fauna and we were thoroughly entertained throughout the trip. They even took pictures for us so we didnt have to risk getting our phones out on the water. If you get a chance to take a tour with them you wont regret it.

The experience was overall very nice. Couple points to help customer service improve: 1. There were people that showed up at 8:05 pm. We were instructed to be there at 7:45 with an 8 pm start. Their late arrival and subsequent slow check in delayed our start by 30 minutes. They should not have been allowed to go with us. Everyone else had to stand around waiting on them. 2. The lights for the kayaks were subpar. Many just quit working. A safer alternative should be found. 3. The lead guide was very knowledgeable about the south Florida ecosystem, but there was too much stopping and talking for long periods. Would recommend this company and would go again.
A must do in Fort Lauderdale! My sister and I had so much fun! The tour guide, Howie , was so patient with my sister who was nervous about kayaking . He is very knowledgeable about the history and sites of Fort Lauderdale. With Howie’s easy going and humorous attitude, our kayaking trip was a relaxing and enjoyable time.

This rental company is top notch. The service was excellent. I called a couple times before our trip, one to inquire about the Groupon process and another to change our time. Lauren was super helpful and friendly. The kayaks we great quality, had comfortable seats and the life jackets didn’t smell at all. The drop point was easy to get in the kayak and the water was calm. We did a 3 hour trip and it was perfect! Best part was coming up on a lady that was singing Christmas songs from her boat deck to her neighbors and all the kayaks and boats watching with people dressed up in Santa hats and elf’s. So fun! I totally recommend using them.

Paula was an amazing tour guide! Very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the location. My husband is experienced in kayaking, but I wasnt and she was able to go at a comfortable pace for everyone. Including my kids age 12 and 13, had a great time.

Blue Moon outdoor adventures did not disappoint. They clean their gear after every guest. Our guide, Don, was pleasant, encouraging, informative, and enthusiastic. We saw lovely architecture, impressive boats, pretty landscaping and one of the biggest orange iguanas I have ever seen. I highly recommend the seven isles tour
Kayak and paddle board tour with Jacob was spectacular. It was my wife’s birthday and she loves to paddle board. Jacob was a great guide and a joy. He also helped a lady out of the water who feel off her boat near the end of the tour and close to dark. She was desperate to get out and appeared to have been in the water for a while. So he also possibly saved her life. Fully recommend this tour group.

Great excursion! The tour guide had us play a trivia game, gave us photo ops, took breaks and was patient with us when we lagged behind. He offered water and cooling cloths for us when it got hot. He even set up a race for us. I lost :( This was a great, great time!

We called to say we were running behind 5 minutes. The young man was very polite. I equipment was clean and we saw them washing equipment as it was returned. The two gentlemen gave us directions to the sandbar and other sites. When we left it was the same. We will definitely be back. Great job!
I participated in the group tour Blue Moon organized to view the winterfest boat parade and I had the absolute best time. The staff are so kind and fun-loving, they really set the tone for an amazing night. We had “front row seats” to watch the festive boats pass by. We were right in the action but also in our own private area. You can’t experience anything like it anywhere else. Lauren, the owner, brought fun festive props for us to wear, she brought holiday candy and made it that much more special. I love the little details and it’s nice to see a business care about the small things too. While the staff is friendly and fun, they are also professional and knowledgeable. You can tell they love what they do. Overall it was a great experience and I’m thankful I chose them to make holiday memories with.

The full moon tour is extremely relaxing and is perfect for both beginners and those who may kayak more often. Pretty relaxing but definitely a major workout. Theh gave me a map a water and the boat with a paddle and sent me on my way explore. It was a Nice day, definitely wear sunscreen on your legs; my legs got pretty sun burnt. The kayak and equipment was Great and if you park at the tennis center its freeand it only a 3 minute walk to the tiki hut office.

Had a beautiful experience with Paola and James. The ride was amazing with lots of great views, from fancy homes, to bends on the path to wide skies of the moon. Paola was a fun guide who offered lessons to care for the ocean while also educating us about the environment around us. Time flew on the water and they made it fun and exciting. Its also just incredible to shove off into the water at sunset and it turn night on the water and seeing how the moon glow affects the look of the water you are on.
Howie was an amazing tour guide!! He has a wealth of information about Florida overall and a bunch of fun facts. Howie makes sure to make the tour interactive with everyone and A lot of fun.

I can’t swim and I was scared as heck !!!Howie was simply amazing I highly recommend him , he made me comfortable, I was even pedaling ahead so I can take rest breaks , he was very informative and also even took pictures for me in my friends . Do NOT go here. I booked a two hour rental for yesterday. Due to the weather, I got a call to reschedule our booking for today at 10 am. Initially, I thought this was very courteous of them and I was excited for our morning adventure. The woman on the phone, Tova, assured us that the morning is a better time anyways because there is more wildlife out and about. We arrived 20 minutes early to ensure we got out on the water as early as possible. No one was there, but we knew we were early so we didn’t may it any mind. 10 am came around and still no one. I began calling the number hoping maybe Tova forgot to reschedule our reservation and maybe someone could come meet us. Still no answer. We waiting until 10:20am in the hot morning sun and still no avail. We called another place that answered us promptly. This place is VERY unprofessional and I thoroughly warn you against it.
I went on the St. Patricks day guided tour 3/17/19.I took a friend whos never been kayaking like I did the first time I went. We had a small group and Lauren the owner gave GREAT instructions on how to use the paddles as well as safety procedures. The tour goes down waterways in Fort Lauderdales Venice of America.There are GOING TO BE BOATS. That is an awesome thing . I like looking at them as they pass as well as the homes and Yachts docked along the way. If you want solitude, message me I know a few places but there will be creepy crawlies everywhere. Thats the trade off lol.Ive also done the Strawberry Full Moon tour 6/29/18. Well worth the $50.00 cost per person. The staff was friendly and very informative and the view of the moon over the water was both Beautiful and very tranquil. I definitely recommend this excursion to EVERYONE!!!

The staff was very friendly and helpful, even when we called for a last minute reservation. We rented kayaks several times from Blue Moon and got great advice as to different routes to take. I honestly can’t think of a negative.
The best kayak rental on the coast. Absolutely best price you will find. I looked everywhere to rent kayaks for an offsite adventure. We rented a truck at the airport to haul a single and double kayak around for our own fishing and exploring of ft Lauderdale. I promise you won’t find a better deal. Plus the owner is super nice!
DONT LOSE THE MAP. Take lot of water, suncreen, bug repellent and snacks if you dont want to die. Also if its your first time dont go all the way to the sandbar- bad idea.
This kayaking experience is honestly the best thing I’ve ever been a part of. Without blue moon outdoor adventures I don’t know where I would be. This company gave my life purpose again.

Ronni was fabulous for the tour and tandem kayak with my boyfriend. Would recommend to anyone looking for a great nature and city kayak, made me feel like a tourist in my own home.
Being that I love the water and love fitness, I approached Lauren (owner of this establishment) with a request to pair my loves together and create a team building event for my CrossFit gym as a social for us. She was only more than happy to deliver! She gave me a run down of how the day would work, a sign up roster and asked for a headcount 1 week prior. To easy!Finding the kayak launch was relatively easy though you do have to pay to park. We arrived about 10 mins early, signed our waivers and then grouped up for a quick warm up. After that, were paired up and launched! The session consisted of 3 games as well as a tour of the middle river. It took roughly an hour to complete and no prior experience was needed. We played tug o war (with no rope!), capture the flag, navigated an obstacle course and did a 4 legged kayak race.Post fitness tour, we were given about 90 mins to venture off and explore on our own. Prizes were given to some of the winners as well. Lauren was energetic, upbeat and knowledgeable about the area.In addition to these types of events, she also offers tours, sandbar days, full moon tours and many many more! I highly recommend her as its very affordable, conveniently located and all her staff was friendly and helpful. You wont regret this tour!
The four of us had a blast last Sunday! I think we may have used the same company a while ago when they were at Richardson Park - theyre now located at the south side of George English Park near Sunrise Blvd. Parking is close and the person renting kayaks was great! They lend you life jackets and a map of the area in addition to the boat and paddles. One two-person boat rental for 1.5 hours was about $30-something and was plenty of time for four people new to the sport like us. We ended up going south where we were able to check out so many gorgeous yachts and some green park-like areas. Sunblock and drinking water are essential, dont forget to bring water shoes and a waterproof phone case (everything in the boat will get a little damp) - they sell zip pouches though just in case you do. Weve decided were going to make kayaking a monthly thing now, so Im sure well be back soon!

Good organization, wish they had planned the tides better. It was too high to do a full route, couldnt get under the bridge, couldn’t get in the intracoastal so couldn’t see any of the Christmas lights on the boats. Just to go out and back was no fun! But the moonrise was beautiful.
Our tour guides, Howie and Jacob were fantastic. Knowledgeable, personable, patient and accommodating. It was a pleasure.

I am normally not the type of person that posts reviews about a business or restaurant but this place really sucks! The owner is rude and inconsiderate. I believe she is the owner anyway. Her name is Colleen. I showed up to the park at bayview with my family from out of town. It had just begun to rain just a tad. We had already paid her over the phone and at the time of booking she seemed nice but once she had our money she would not answer her phone when we tried to call and ask specific directions to her location in said park. Then I had one of my cousins call from their phone and she answered right away! Once she realized that it was me she became angery, rude and down right irate with me. Finally she gave specific directions to her location in the park. When we pulled up and approached her she said that we were late for our booking and that we would not get a refund and that she had another group of people taking the kayaks out even though we were the only people insight! After arguing with her for about 8 minutes longer she reluctantly let us get out on the water. She was very rude to my family guests and just tossed the life jackets at us and stormed back to her tent on the polluted beach of plastic bottles and trash!!! Trash everywere! We were so off put by the encounter the it was literally the only thing my family talked about while we were out on the water. She took a family outing which was supposed to be a fun, relaxing and wonderful experience with my aunts uncles and cousins whom I rarely get to see anymore and single handedly turned it into a horribly and almost traumatic experience that my family and I unfortunately will never forget!!! Thanks alot Colleen! You are a terrible person and it shows!

This is a must-do attraction in the Miami area. I kayaked over two miles roundtrip to an island only accessible by boat with secluded sandy beaches and a remote snorkeling-designated shore. The kayak/stand up paddle board rental crew is incredibly pleasant to work with and their processes are mega efficient.
The operation seemed like a bunch of amateurs running around with their heads cut off.No safety briefing, no hints on how to paddle. Mind you were experienced sea kayakers and have kayaked thousands miles in seven years. We didnt need such a briefing but rookies might have wanted one. u2028u2028But the worst were the p.o.s. paddles = heavy, un-feathered, no thrust. Ive been to shittier places and they had decent paddles. If youre going to charge the most then have the best paddles! PFDs were old and smelly and bungeed to the rear deck. No briefing on how to adjust the seat backs.Came on vacation, had a terrible experience. Definitely don’t come here.
Extremely unprofessional staff. There are many more better Kayak rental locations in Fort Lauderdale. Stay far far away from these people. The old lady is extremely rude. The staff has no idea what they are doing.
Wonderful experience! Went with one of my best friends and we felt very safe. Everything is cleaned after each person uses it. Would totally go back and do the experience again!

I will NEVER go back to Blue Moon at Oleda Park. I would give them a negative 1 star based on principle that you cant use the services without a credit card.Cash money ( the most universally accepted form of payment) cant rent you a kayak or anything for that matter at this organization without forfeiting your ID and Credit card while using their equipment.Cash along with ID should get you almost anything. Certainly a 1 hour canoe rental.Thumbs down to these guys.

I truly did have a great experience and the staff was amazing they tell you what to expect on the trip such as wildlife. My only dislike is the price for rentals but it really is worth it

Been coming here since they were just a pick up truck and trailers with kayaks. Fantastic kayaking, and decent prices. Definitely get here early as the lines can get pretty gnarly during a long weekend.

Kayaking in this area should be a south Florida bucket list destination! 4-5 hours through mangroves, and small islands. Best bet is to get there as the park opens because by midday there are tons of boats parked at the islands barbecuing.
The staff here was great to my fiancee and I. They helped coordinate my engagement today and it turned out great. Thank God for the people and a place like this. I def. recommend anyone to come along and enjoy the wonders.😁
Blue Moon’s staff was very receptive and extremely accommodating to our needs. We are training for a 70 mile paddle boarding fundraiser between Bahamas and Miami. We will be using Bluemoon’s services for our training.

2021-09-17We had such a great time kayaking with blue moon outdoor adventures! Jake was wonderful and shared fun facts about different houses and places we passed while we were kayaking. He also took lots of great pictures for us while we were out on the water. I hadn’t been kayaking in over 10 years but this tour was definitely beginner friendly and we are so glad we booked it. 2022-05-16I had the best kayaking trip with Blue Moon Outdoor Adventures. Location was perfect, easy to get to. Lauren the owner was friendly, gracious and generous. Our tour guide Mike was amazing. He knew lots about the area, made sure folks were safe while on the water and was funny. I hope he stays around for a while!I literally stumbled onto Blue Moon Outdoor Adventures taking a walk and Im glad I did. One of the highlights of my stay in Fort Lauderdale!

2022-04-11I booked this excursion as a team event while visiting Ft. Lauderdale and had an amazing experience! Lauren, the owner of Blue Moon Outdoor Adventures was so nice and responded quickly to any questions. She made the booking experience really easy by sending over a private link and even accommodated to the start time for this event. Lauren and her associate made sure everyones safety came first; no one was ever left behind. Not only did we get to experience the kayak tour, but there were team building activities incorporated that helped my group exercise trust, strategizing and communication. Lauren took tons of videos and photos of our group as well so we didnt have to worry about brining our phones with us. My team and I had a great time. We shared lots of laughs and took in the scenery. I would highly recommend booking a tour with Blue Moon Outdoor Adventures!

2021-07-12Loved my first time paddle boarding! It’s a new hobby I fell in love with! $40 for an hour & a half at this spot. It gets busy so try to be one of the first people there. Definitely going to buy my own paddle board now!

2021-04-28Best kept local secret I just have to share...their monthly Full Moon Kayaking trip. Aprils was just right (before then was a little too cold for this Floridian). So serene on the water with the full moon reflecting off the intracoastal waters. The tour includes guides not only for your safety, but also for learning about the ecosystem and how special this area is. Youll venture quietly through the canals, past the magnificent mansions. They are illuminated at night and also reflect of the water, such a romantic feel to it all! Beginners can feel at home, as the waters are placid. I just love this tour and have taken friends and guests who rave. This tour is the highlight of my year!

2021-02-12Easy and convenient spot for water activities. They have options for kayaking (single and tandem). There is a paid parking lot right in front. Or you can park free at the George English Park that is a 5-10 min walk. It’s on an intracoastal waterway, so you can see houses and other city views. There are two directions to go from starting point: south or north. South is more to see the restaurants and more city life, North is more residential and houses.On the occasion I went, the winds were very strong and they discouraged us to go south since it would be a struggle to get back. However, it was a struggle to go north as well. The winds and current was very strong that I could not stop kayaking for almost an hour or I would fly backwards. Finally, when I reached the smaller canals where the houses were, the kayaking was more calm. I got a 3hour kayak but perhaps only one hour was enjoyable, and two hours of work. If you can plan, try to not go on a windy day!The staff was nice and friendly, the kayaks were clean and they give you life jackets and a map. You have to leave an ID with the staff as collateral. I was able to stay mainly dry on the kayak so my valuables did not get wet. Would come back!

2021-09-17We live nearby and would pass by blue moon often. One day we decided to give it a go on paddle boards with our Frenchton pup. Jacob was so awesome, he assisted us in the water while we got situation with our dog. He helped to give us recommendations of where to paddle out to along with safety tips and even held some of our stuff safe since we couldn’t take it all on with us. Don’t hesitate and go for it. They even have sunset and full moon tours, which we will be back for!!
