It was great, I was able to pay my taxes online, and Im so happy, because I only had 3 days before payment was due.
Tax Bill is always sent out on time. The building downtown that receives payment is conveniently located off Broward Blvd and parking is simple. There is always pleanty of staff who are very courteous there to assist. Very smooth and efficiently run!
Contacting some by mail to do their property taxes is illegal. Yo are an appraiser, a BOLDFACD ONE AT THAT.
I had a question about my property taxes so I sent an email to Tax Commisioner Marty Kiar at 930pm on Saturday evening and Mr.Kiar replied to me within 5 minutes answering my question in detail...Im kind of speechless, this is unbelievable he took his time on Saturday evening to bother with my email. Kudos to Mr.Kiar!! Keep up doing truly excellent service to Broward Community!

Marty Kiars office is one of the most efficient and well run government offices I have had the pleasure of contacting. The office provides very quick and thorough attention to matters and has great employees!
Re:Seniors Additional Homestead Exemptions.This is the 2nd year Ive signed and returned a card to the office. Today Im told they receive thousands of items in the mail room and even return receipt mail may have been signed for by the mail room it might not get to them.This procedure should be handled in a manner that insures the taxpayer items are handled properly. The follow-up letter I received on May 15th gives me a May 1st deadline to return the signed document. Talking with the staff is a waste of time.
Marty heads his office well. However, the county like others is over taxing property owners to the point that it is becoming no longer profitable to buy a house to rent it. After taxes and insurance little is left. Also why am I paying taxes for public schools when I am already paid for my childrens private school. Also my children have gone on to college so why do I have to continue paying for the public schools that I dont and have never utilized? The school taxes are the largest chunk is the property tax and I dont even use them!
The Broward County property appraisal office , appraises property at their own system and give different values to properties that should have same values....is all a matter of who in broward wants to pay more taxes..if u make a deal with them and pay more taxes , they will gladly increase the value of ur property.....wow.!!!!!! ????? like my case, i live in a community in Pembroke Pines, the city that has rapidly become just another miami Extension with miami problems....in my community there are 50 models exactly like ours.....lake fronts, corner lots, inside lots.....there was years that the corners were more valuable than the lake, and then viceversa and then again viceversa....we have a very large pool (also expensive for this area $70,000( they told me once...well, well.....we can give u more value for ur pool/spa/deck that is larger than 85% of ur area but ......are u willing to pay like $1200 more in taxes a year?? wow..if this is not a rigged corrupted system...what it is then? we have lake fronts priced at 55k then the same lot at 87k.........we have exact same houses priced at 580k then the other one at 480k.....same house, same garages, same Sq feet, lake, pool.....but of course, one is paying 10k in taxes , the other one less than 6k.......system is just rigged,,,,big time
Worst service for citizens I have experienced, I requested information to pay my taxes and the phone attendant only said look at our website. Do they realize that I pay taxes to have them provide me a good minimum service, at least?
Property appraiser is a crook, who is hiding from citizens behind his staff who are tasked with ripping money from residents under false pretenses. Dont trust them. Suing in court is the best option. Appeals Board is paid by this office, so there is no point to seek resolution from them.
Was able to find what I needed
I use BCPA on a weekly basis as an Architect and it makes my life easy to find out the valuable site info that I need to know!

Their search engine works when looking up properties. Some states dont have that convenience.

2022-03-01Absolutely everything you dont expect from a public office and it felt like a private office.It was efficient and very well managed. Jason G. was super helpful to us while resolving our issues in the online application. The whole process took less than 15 min including the notary and corrections to my online form and approvals.He also set up the owners alert on the property which is a thoughtful free service by the office which everyone should avail.I also dropped an email note to Kelly yesterday evening and she responded after verifying that information has been corrected.I am very satisfied and grateful for the amazing services provided by the tean

2022-03-17My experience has been nothing short of amazing with BCPA. Due to COVID interruptions it was difficult to complete Homestead process. 2021-04-23My wife and I would like to express our deep appreciation and thanks to the professionalism and “going the extra mile” attitude of Bertha Henry as she went above and beyond in assisting us to record our quit claim deed today April 22, at 4 pm.Miss Henry, along with a coworker, voluntarily proceeded to search for the exhibit showing the legal description that we forgot to bring in order to complete the documents. We could have ended up driving back 50 miles to bring it back from our house.Again, our thanks to Mr. Kiar and his team for a great service and job well done.
