2020-06-16The sunsets here are incredible! There are no bathrooms, just pavilions with picnic tables. Great place if youre just driving through to stop by and look at the water. The lake is so big it looks like the ocean, because you cant see the other side. Nice place to walk your dog or ride your bike.

2022-05-07This view of Lake Okeechobee is with the detour. So big you cannot see across. Otherwise definitely not a tourist designation.

2022-01-24I am shocked at how brown and unhealthy the water is in Lake Okeechobee. The area is nice enough and the first real access we found to the lake. Will check other areas but so disturbing how filthy the water is. Plus the nearby burning sugar cane toxic clouds going on all around the Lake. If I didnt know better Id say the lake exists for the sugar cane industry. And they are not following the EPA guidelines anymore this burning is antiquated uneccsary and needs to stop.

2018-07-22Great place to stop and have a picnic next to Lake Okeechobee. There is a boat ramp here but no docks. Plenty of picnic tables and shelters 😊👍

2020-02-02Catching Crappie & Tilapia was slow process although there was a cold front. Had been 53 degrees since 530am. Caught 4 and threw Tilapia back in 3 hours, I prefer Salmon. Also there are a lot of plastic bottles on banks, trashcan should be there otherwise we continue to destroy our planet. Preserve our planet as much as possible.✌
