Realtor Sean Collier was my realtor assisting me in buying a property. He appeared to know the business but considering I came to town from 2100 miles away he made limited time to assist me. But that was minor compared to what was to follow. I made an offer on a property and returned back to Idaho. We were to have a FaceTime Inspection at 6AM the coming Saturday but Sean never followed through nor did he respond to mine. He never responded until 15 min prior to the deadline for me to have any time to back out due to inspection deficiencies as well. He left me hanging. I never heard from Sean ever again. I called, email led and texted as did the selling agent. I called his office and spoke to others who advised he had been in the office having a good time making jokes, etc Mon and Tue. He claimed to have Covid later to explain his lack of follow through to the seller’s agent. Obviously not true. It had been several days since either of us had heard from him and he had been in the office. Apparently he has another job. His managing broker, Kara Wootson, new to this office 3 days prior was of no help either, cutting me off when I called her, and even advised when I asked her what to do that ‘she didn’t know and those were questions for an attorney!’ Unbelievable! Kara promised to get back to me by days end but I never heard from her either until I complained to the Realtors Commission. Then Kara sent a long email that made no sense, not taking any accountability nor offering an apology for dropping the ball. I requested a day or two to process the info and I’d get back to her. She began calling me immediately 2-3 times a day all of a sudden after going a week not helping. She went so far as to using another’s phone to call me so I wouldn’t recognize her number! Nothing professional about Sean or Kara Wooten of the Coldwell Banker Manatee office at all. In the dozen plus home transactions Ive been involved in, I’ve never been treated so unprofessional or even close to how those two handled a real estate transaction. It was so bizarre. They did the seller, a nice elderly couple, of the property a huge disservice as well. To this day I’ve never been given an honest explanation nor apology. I don’t recommend this branch of Coldwell Banker, the broker Kara Wooten, nor this part timer realtor Sean Collier.
