This company did an outstanding job at managing my property from a distance. They were overall very communicative and often went above and beyond in their services. When I was ready to sell, they were also great at listing and getting my property sold. Winter did a great job at communicating with me throughout the process. I would highly recommend Douglas Realty, especially if youre a long distance investor.

I had to fire them today.They basically ghosted me they were managing my rental property but I could never get a return phone call.I still dont know if theyve taken any steps to collect past due rent and damages from the tenant that we finally got out of there last September.

This was our very first property purchase in Cape Coral and found Douglas Realty Property Management (DRPM) through a recommendation. At first, I was hesitant about property managers in general, but I had no choice. I decided to try them. Its been a full year and we are 100% satisfied. All our questions answered accurately. They found us very good tenants. They helped maintain the property. I dont have to worry a bit. Their charges are very reasonable for the services they provide. I will continue to hire them as long as I plan to do rent our place. Hrushi

Why do people hire property management companies? So you dont have to fight for your rent. Well I had to fight for my rent more then once with this company. They do not abide by their contract date regarding distribution of the rent. They do what they want with your money and do not ask. When I decided not to renew my property management contract they withheld money that they shouldnt have. Then they closed my account before they were suppose to and left me with no options. Susan Barzo, the accounting assistant, who presented herself as the office manager, told me you can leave now and pointed to the door when I arrived at the office to discuss their breach of contact. She was very rude and would not even talk to me. This office had very poor communication with each other and very questionable accounting practices. I would never recommend them as a property management companyupdate...Interesting how the owner found the time to respond on this public forum, however did not reply to my personal communication that included my contact information. As for the human error. It should have been corrected the first time it happened, yet it was not

Read your lease carefully. They keep a huge amount of your security deposit . There was a $100 fee to PROCESS the security deposit, on top of other outrageous fees. Read the contract carefully!!!!!!!

I rented from this company for almost 4 years. Very hard to get a response to fix anything. Always a different maintenance worker. Moved out and gave a 30 day notice. Receipt for carpet cleaning and was charged an arm and a leg for things that I should have not been. Barely got any deposit back. Do not recommend.

After contacting many property management companies I found Douglas Realty. They are phenomenal! The process was easy. My house was rented quick, the finance portion is transparent and efficient. I am very pleased with Douglas Realty. Every single simple question is answered in the most professional and respectful way. I highly recommend this company to any home owner that doesn’t want to deal with tenants and collecting payments. Kudos to you guys. I am a happy customer. 5 stars!!!

We tried to manage our rental property on our own from Attleboro, Massachusetts, but encountered difficulties with out tenant throughout FY2020. Therefore, we decided not to renew the lease and elected to move forward with a management company. As you know, there are a number of management companies that operate in the Cape Coral/ Ft. Myers area. We reached out to several companies, but decided to go with Douglas Realty because of Winter King. From the beginning, Ms. King presented herself to be a caring professional who is/was willing to provide us with the best customer service possible. She explained the process and answered any and all questions we had. At the time we reached out to Douglas Realty, the home was furnished. Winter explained that Douglas Realty would be able to move the furniture to a storage area if needed. Fortunately, we were able to dispose of the furniture, but Winter eased our stress as we knew other options were available. She also assured us that she would be able to connect with a company for lawn care, as the grass was getting high and out of control. Winter made herself available to us, answered our phone calls or responded to our messages timely and made herself available to us when we traveled to Cape Coral. They made us live with mold in the house for a year. The person who inspected (Christian Haag) the house found it and took the photo. I sent emails (two with photos attached) and it was never fixed. Were yell at for having the ac fixed on a Saturday after messaging, emailing, and calling the emergency number and not getting anyone to contact us back. Tiles were cracked/broken when we moved in. When our refrigerator broke, we received a used one with a rusted ice maker. It took them a week to get the refrigerator to us and a week to have the part “fixed” (it was painted over) and the shoot never worked. Upped our rent during a pandemic. They would receive zero stars but they are receiving the one for the one employee who seemed to care about their tenants.
