If you are considering a career as a Florida Real Estate Sales Associate, do yourself the favor and take this course. Yes, it is very fast paced but if you study hard and follow the instructors directions, you will succeed! And if you don’t, try again! The instructor kept the class interesting and attentive. Evening classes after a long day of work can be exhausting but he knew how to get your energy going. Covers everything in the book that is provided to you for the class. I will miss him and his humor.
Where do I start?! I wanted another go to officially evolve my career in real estate after failing the class with another school about 4 years ago, but now owning a rental property. I didn’t want to go back through their class, so I went on a google search and stumbled across Al’s school. I read the reviews and instantly signed up. Let me say, he deserves every single 5 stars and if I could give 10 I would. There are a variety of instuctors but everyone is not an “educator”, if that makes sense. He truly breaks down the information for you to retain. Even at the fast pace we had to follow for the 7 day course. Beyond the pre-license information, the tips he shares are supreme! You can tell in his delivery and approach how seriously he takes his craft and how he serves in the field as a broker by how personable he is. I passed my eoc exam and in process to schedule the state, but I’m super confident about it thanks to Al. I’m also writing this outside of a floor and decor before I go in to get familiar with different types of tiles and such. If you know, you know! Lol. Thanks Al!!!!
Before I took this class I had no knowledge whatsoever of real estate, never purchased a property, etc. I recommend this class to anyone pursuing a career in real estate. I took the 15 day course from 9am to 1pm. Al offers a 7 day class as well but I recommend the 15 day class because you will have more time to study. The extra study time is much needed and well worth it. Al is very knowledgeable, and you would expect he has seen it all, Al is also very engaging. Als personality really separates this class from the rest and makes the class more enjoyable, he teaches through text as well as personal experience. At the beginning of the class Al gives you a study guide, he tells you that if you want to pass the test you need to spend time looking over the study guide, and he isn’t wrong. You will not be disappointed if you take this class, it exceeded my expectations. I am very glad I took this class and I will recommend it to anyone who is considering applying for a real estate license.
If you take nothing from this review know that taking this real estate course with Mr. Al will put your career on track to unmeasurable and continuous levels of success and understanding!!The course itself is very impactful but Mr. Al on the other end is transformable. His teaching methods and styles is I like none other. He’s a true teacher at heart he doesn’t teach to himself but he teaches because he loves what he does and seeing others having the opportunity to succeed as well.Ok so let’s get this out of the way, yes there is a lot of content! This is the place to start your real estate career, I had the greatest experience with the two week course. Al was an exceptional teacher/instructor. One could not ask for a better person to facilitate this course. Though the material is difficult, he really made sure to cover all the bases in a timely manner and give you the material you need to succeed. I will highly recommend him to others that are interested to take this class.
I just completed the 63 hr Sales Associate Course taught by Mr. Al. For those of you like myself who benefit most from interactive, in classroom learning, this is the class for you!Mr. Al created a positive, fun learning environment. Helpful knowledge reinforcement activities such as crossword puzzles and multiple choice quizzes were provided and reviewed at the end of each unit. In addition, learning was enhanced by Mr. Al relating the principles, objectives and concepts being taught to actual scenarios he has experienced throughout his career in the industry.If you want to start off on the right foot and give yourself the best opportunity to succeed, do not hesitate, sign up now!
I recently completed the 63 hour prelicensure course here. These are my takeaways. Al is one of the best instructors I have ever had. The class sizes are small, and the atmosphere is a delight. Would recommend this to anyone wanting to become a real estate licensee. The material is in depth, but delivered in a way that is comprehendible. Al delivers the material in a way that everyone can enjoy and learn from. It helped that he has so much knowledge about applications of the material to guide us as students. It is also obvious to anyone who takes the course that Al is invested in his students. He wants everyone who takes the course to succeed. 10/10 experience.
This is a wonderful class for you IF you have prior knowledge and background in real estate. If not, I would consider taking your money somewhere else! Mr.Al kept class entertaining and humorous. However, there were many personal instances where his professionalism lacked.1. He randomly changed the class time from 8am-1pm to 8am-2pm, so that he didn’t have to teach on Saturday’s.2. It was very hard to get in contact with him about re-taking the test.3. When I showed up for the retake (that was scheduled btw), he wasn’t there. I had to call the number on the door and he said he was at an appointment.4. When I actually got to retake the test, I was by myself, and he was playing his office television extremely loud and his phone kept on ringing. It was VERY distracting!!!***5. I’m in contact with most of the people who were in my class and only a couple of students actually passed!!!***Because of all of these instances, I do not feel like Al actually cared about his students passing and having a successful career.After reading these reviews, I realize how well he is at responding to them considering how terrible he is at responding to his students emails. This makes it seem like his end goal is to get a good review, and NOT to help you in your real estate career.
I recently completed the Florida School of RealEstate 63 hour state requirement prelicesure real estate course live in a classroom setting, taught by Mr. Al. The extensive content is all covered in various ways throughout the course and Mr. Al presents it in a concise and engaging way. I am so pleased the in person course was so well done and interactive. It could not be matched by the virtual courses paced on your own time. The interaction throughout the course was invaluable. Thank you Al!
This school is the absolute best decision I have made! Al is intentional with all of his students. He is funny, keeps us engaged, and covers all the material! I walked into this class completely clueless and now Im walking out of this class with the knowledge and tools to not only pass my state exam, but also to succeed in real estate. It is a lot of information, but is the best way to absorb all of the information. Al is an awesome instructor who uses his extensive knowledge in real estate to help him teach the material effectively. Mr. Kennedy is the type of person you go to when you have a question about anything. Very intelligent and with high analytical thinking. Regarding the course, it is the best way to take it (2-week-course). Book is really easy to access and the hand-outs and study guide provided were amazing to study and understand concepts. He is very detailed and not only teaches you what is in the book, but the things you might encounter in a daddy to day basis as a licensee. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
Amazing instructor! A lot of material covered but Al made it very informative and entertaining.He is an wealth of not only knowledge about real estate, but also great suggestions about what to do when you become a licensee. I just successfully completed the pre-license 63 hour course today with AL and I must tell you that it was an incredible experience learning from a master in the real estate industry! ALs professionalism, customer service ethics, teaching methods make his class very informative and enjoyable. I highly recommend this class to anyone interested in becoming a sales associate, its a lot of studying, but, you will receive all of the tools necessary to be successful in this industry.
Al is an Outstanding instructor!I took his class and I must say, there was never a dull moment. It was a lot of information but he took the time to explain everything very thoroughly, and it was easy to understand. Not only did I pass the end of course exam, I also passed the State Exam! I highly recommend anyone pursuing a career in Real Estate to take this class.
I took the online course thinking it would be engaging and helpful to the viewer but it is totally the Opposite. You may as well buy a Real Estate textbook. It is all reading and practice quizzes. Nothing else. There is only about 30 minutes of video content out of the 63 hour course and that is pretty much nothing. If you are working fulltime, and need to find a good quality course to take online this is not it. If you are a learner who needs a helpful and engaging experience online, this is not the course for you.

Went to Als week express real estate class and passed the class test, as well as the state test on the first try. Als teaching style is engaging, easy to understand, and fun, all at the same time. I would highly recommend Al to anyone who is looking to not only get licensed, but also have an understanding of what their responsibilities are as a licensee and what is expected of them in all scenarios.

I truly enjoyed this class! If you want to pass your state exam on the first try this is the right class for you! Mr. Al is very knowledgeable on real estate. You will not only learn the Florida Real Estate Principles, Practices & Law book, but he does a great job giving real life situations that will help you be a successful Realtor. Fl School Of Real Estate was a deliberate choice of mine because I desired a smaller class sizes. I wanted an environment where the instructor can devote more attention to helping us succeed and passing the exam in a personal smaller group session. Im so happy I choose this school!Learning from Al has been a wonderful adventure; full of life, laughs, experience and passion, he has helped a difficult text book come to life with practical examples and useful instruction. I completed the 3 week course and proud to say I’m now a licensee! I would’ve been lost if it wasn’t for Al. His entertaining approach held my attention and helped me understand the material. My advice would be to stay focused and engaged in class and go home and STUDY! The crosswords given and end of unit quizzes help a lot too :)
I originally signed up for an online school and just couldn’t get myself motivated. I researched in class instruction and this school got FANTASTIC reviews so I made the commitment. There are lots of less expensive courses out there but this one is worth every penney and then some.Al is a fantastic instructor and his class was perfect for me. Small classroom size and lots of interaction. Great study tools. I will say it is a huge amount to cram into Seven days but thanks to Al I passed the end of course exam. In addition, I feel I have all the tools I need to take the State Exam. If I hadn’t made this choice I would still be at home staring at my monitor on Chapter 1 of the online school. I work from home and do very well with self study. But for this subject IN CLASS INSTRUCTION is the only way to go. I was very inspired by the other folks in my class and Al gave fantastic tips and gave us a lot of hands on stories that helped so much to grasp the information. I’m very excited about what’s ahead of me. If this old lady can do it, the sky is the limit! Thank you Al!!!!!!
I highly recommend this course to anyone interested in taking a real estate certification course and going on to the state exam. The instructor is a great communicator, has a very organized approach to covering the material, reinforces each chapter with quizzes and discussion and gives many practical examples that help to make the information more relatable. The class is structured in segments with breaks that help the day pass easily, and his great sense of humor is a plus!

There are plenty of options in Jacksonville to take Real estate pre-licensing courses. I took the 7 day express class. BUT, I definitely made the right choice in selecting Mr. Al Kennedy’s class. He does a great job of explaining everything and even giving examples to help you better understand it. The atmosphere is great and he keeps you on your toes and entertained. He knows his Real Estate and does an excellent job of relaying and teaching it! I’ll definitely be coming back for post licensing!

Well taught class that creates a fun and interesting learning experience. Al and his daughter do an excellent job of creating a warm, welcoming classroom environment while delivering the information in a way that is easy to understand and follow. I took a 15 day (3 weeks, 5 days a week) Sales Associate Pre-Licensing course here and my instructor was Al.The teaching was organized and engaging, what could be considered very dry material was actually very fun to learn. The atmosphere here is relaxed but also safe due to COVID. Collaboration and participation are encouraged. I never found myself spacing out or bored.I found the course cost to be more than reasonable given that your book is included, and the instruction is live and interactive. I do not think I could have learned the depth of the material from a less expensive online class.The location is conveniently close to great study spots like Zoe’s, or Panera, which is good because you will certainly want to form a study group with your classmates. There is a reasonable amount of parking, though the intersection can be tough if you’re coming from 295 or driving north on San Jose. The interior of the building is temperate and there is comfortable seating, bring a jacket though if it’s winter.I would happily recommend this course and instructor to those interested in Real Estate, and would absolutely take my post-licensing or CE’s here if they offer it!

As a 17 year North Carolina Licensed Real Estate Broker I have an abundance of experience with Real Estate Instructors.I recently moved to Florida and wanted to take a Real Estate course because the laws are different.Al has a great balance of instruction, real world knowledge and humor. Just completed the 7 day express class and I have to say that the format, structure and overall atmosphere is very student friendly as their is lot of course material to cover in a short amount of time. The Class Instructor has a vast amount of experiences to drawn upon in the Real Estate Industry that really helps students grasp the material easier. This class will set you up with the very foundation to not only take the State exam, but to pass it on the first try, something other courses may not accomplish. I learned what I was unable to grasp while taking the class online with the local community college. This was the best thing I did for myself. I feel prepaired for state . I enjoyed it Al is funny. I went in tense on the 1st day by the 2nd was very relaxed. Al was very professional and even handles rude students well. will take more classes here in the future. Just be prepared to study.
Al from the beginning of the class to the end made me feel very uncomfortable asking questions. He would look at me bug-eyed when I asked questions, as it was beneath him to provide an answer. It caused me to feel uncomfortable asking questions in class due to the feeling of being subjected by his stares. Also, if you cant understand a fast talker professor- he is not for you, he mumbles and speed talks through the course making it very hard to understand the material, and once again upon asking questions he would always shut my questions down and embarrass me in front of the class. My degree is in elementary education (teaching) -- and we learned very early on not to shun students for asking questions, it creates growth and opportunity to understand the concept. I found Al to be very un-professional also with how he spoke to me. He told me multiple times to my face something was wrong with me or youre special or would comment oddly upon my personality--highly unprofessional and rude.Side note: Al will tell you he will call you back or answer his phone and beware he is hard to get a hold of too. He told me multiple times he would call me back and never did, also highly unprofessional. I had to be very persistent by calling him daily to get ahold of him at the end for my test score.Positive: His daughter who is his assistant is very kind and presents herself well amongst communication and trying to help you understand what to do to pass- I appreciate your kindness through this situation, although I do not appreciate what I went through with Al.
If you are considering a course to obtain your Real Estate Sales Associate license, look no further. I debated whether to do an online course vs this classroom course. I made a fantastic decision and know that I could never have learned the content and deeper meaning of the of this profession without an in person experience. The instructor was experienced, knowledgeable and had a great delivery style. The content was covered clearly with good examples and reinforced with strong review along the way. I never could have learned this volume of material in an online course. Special compliments to Al, the instructor, for caring about the success of his students and ensuring that we are prepared to take the next steps in getting our professional license.
Unfortunately if you do not have prior real estate knowledge this class is not worth the money or time. The instructor is funny, but I needed a teacher not a comedian for 60+ hours. The follow back after the classes were over were little to nothing. Trying to contact anyone or get any extra information was like pulling teeth. If you are going into these classes green like I was, I would definitely look into a classroom or online course that is more hands on. Only 2 out of 6 ppl passed the test the first time. Was to much side talk, not enough time spent on areas that mattered. I will be taking the class again but most likely online at my own pace and with a instructor who cares

I just finished the 7 day Express Course and let me just say there was absolutely NO WAY I could have done it without the help of the instructor Mr. Alaric Kennedy. He will simplify the book work down to a T to help you further understand what is going on. He is such an engaging teacher that the time in the class flies by and you never lose focus. I was very pleased with choosing the Florida School of Real Estate for the overall experience throughout my time there spent.

I did the 7 day express course and it was tough! But Al is pretty funny and he made it enjoyable. He kept up the pace and much to my surprise, we covered all 19 chapters! And most importantly, I passed the course. Al covered all the topics, but made it fun. I highly recommend him!
I looked at many classes in Jacksonville for the Pre-License course and I am so glad I chose this one, the Instructor Mr. Al is a phenomenal teacher and did an awesome job at really getting the class into it , he does a great job at making sure you get all of the knowledge you need for the test and if you pay attention and listen to him you WILL pass. I owe him a lot of credit and I highly recommend anyone wanting to take the course to take it here.

If you are considering doing this, Al is the person you want to learn from. He has a unique ability to put 120% effort into his classes at all times. There is never a dull moment. He knows the material cold and incorporates a much appreciated sense of humor into what could otherwise be a fairly dry topic while remaining professional at all times. Just finished the 12 day evening course and it was absolutely incredible! Al keeps the class small, so you get a more personal learning experience, and a more focused class. Florida School of Real Estate is the place to go if you want to pass your exam. Al is very interactive and highlights the most important sections that will be on the exam. This course was actually fun to take so thats a huge plus and makes it so much easier to learn the material!
Just took this class with Al July 8th-16th. I took the week long class. It is a lot of material to get through in that time, but Al does a fantastic job of keeping everyone engaged. There are 2 units (out of 19) that are tougher than the others, but he simplified them tremendously. I would HIGHLY recommend this class if anyone is looking for an excellent instructor!
A Five Star program all the way. The small class size makes for a perfect learning environment. Mr. Al was extremely interesting, engaging and with the most up to date information needed in order for his students to be successful. This is a great course to take and Al really gives you the information you need to pass. No he doesn’t give you the answers, he doesn’t make it easy but he does make you work so that when you actually take the test, you pass! He makes the class fun which really helps. I have a four year degree and have taken additional classes outside of school and I have never had so much fun while learning so much in a class! I took the 7 day course and the days just flew by! I just completed the 63 hour Sales Associate class (and passed the course exam!) I highly recommend the Florida School of Real Estate, particularly over attempting to take the course online. The interaction with the instructor and the other class members was invaluable. Beyond the details in the Guide, the real life experience and Q&A provided much more depth (and tricks to remember) than merely reading and repeating facts.The School is conveniently located and the classroom facility is brightly lit and conducive to sitting for 8 hours x 7 days! There are regularly scheduled breaks, including 30 minutes for lunch. There are several options for grabbing lunch, even in that short window, nearby.One tip around obtaining your license: following this course and exam, you will need to take the Florida State license exam. Before you can register to take that exam, you will need to have your fingerprints taken (look for locations at Pearson Vue website) and register with the DBPR. This can take weeks. So, my advice is to start this process 2 - 3 weeks before taking the advance course. The registration is good for 2 years, so no worries about it expiring before you complete the course. I wish I was already processed through DBPR so that I could jump right into taking the State exam (yes, I feel prepared following this class completion!)Choose the Florida School of Real Estate and Mr. Al Kennedy for your sales associate education. You will be happy and successful!

There is a lot of information to learn in a short period of time. I found that the instructor, Al Kennedy, was very interested in making sure that his students understand the material and have every opportunity to succeed. There’s a lot of information in the express class. It’s overwhelming at times. Al is a strange dude, on day 1 you are going to say “what have I done”! Then you’re going to realize this goofy dude has a method to his madness to keep you engaged in the material. I couldn’t have imagined learning this material with a dry boring instructor. Also, bring your lunch, 30 min lunch breaks are tight and the class doesn’t stop! I definitely recommend and can’t wait to see Al sometime in the field.

Fraudulent this what you told me on April 13 after many trips to your office, phone calls and Email. Look at your email !!!!!!!!!You said: you wanted to cancel class due to the virus understood and that you have to work. That fine I will personally see that you will receive your refund; In accordance with our refund policy. I was notified that you came into the office in person to sign-up. We have not been in the office other than last week when we had a class start. We are continuing classes and are following the rules set in place. If you have any questions contact me directly.My answer: yes you can go ahead and refund me in my card.Still no money or answer I lost 400 dollars for a class I never took and never refunded me half the money for an unfortunate situation like Covid-19 I couldn’t control and was following the rules. You didn’t reschedule or cancel the class. No update or nothing, how is that not fraudulent.So people beware do your homework very carefully, I was too hasty to take this class and give you my money. Lesson learn.

2022-07-27First off, this course is no joke. If you are not prepared to study then you may want to consider something else. With that being said, Mr Al is an amazing instructor and will give you all the information you need to be succesful. His teaching style is unconventional by today’s standards but extremely effective! He is exactly the kind of instructor you would want to prepare you for the exam. He used many real world scenarios and some of his own experiences to drive home important points that you will need to remember for the test and for the rest of your career. I would recommend Florida school of real estate to anyone who is thinking of stepping into the real estate field.

2022-02-01When I signed up to take the FL real estate sales associate course, I did not know what to expect. Having moved from up north, I did not know what real estate school to select, so I chose Florida School of Real Estate on a whim. I am so glad I did! The course, although rigorous, was very interesting and the instructor, Mr. Al Kennedy, made the course exciting. He had the ability to keep the class engaged in the course lessons and also entertained us with stories of real estate transactions to drive home the concept of the various topics that were discussed daily. I highly recommend the Florida School of Real Estate to anyone wanting to get their real estate license.

However, I called and spoke with the Instructor Al and explained that I would not be able to attend the day classes. He mentioned that I could hold off and use my registration for an evening class once they started. That would have been an awesome alternative but when he asked me to follow up our conversation with an email, all of a sudden the evening classes were not a guarantee. When I asked if I needed to request a refund, after no response to my previous email, I received an email from him stating I will issue a refund in accordance with our refund policy if that is what you want to do. Shortly after that email, I received another email notifying me that my registration was cancelled. Also to note, the refund is not in full, which is why that was not an ideal option for me. My complaint is that I DID NOT ask for a refund, I was willing to wait and take an evening class when it was available as Al stated I could. But when I followed up our conversation with the email, it was as if we had never spoken. This review is based solely on my interaction with the instructor Alaric Kennedy, not the quality of instruction. I am out of $350, I feel signing up was a complete waste. I should have gone with the online option; the lack of integrity and professionalism displayed by Mr. Kennedy is greatly disappointing. I wish I had more positive words, however this was my experience. It is my hope no one else experiences the same. I have reported this company to the Better Business Bureau.In response to your irrelevant response. I have our email correspondence and the email I received cancelling my class on April 21st. Cant attend a class that has been previously cancelled. This is not about my taking responsibility, but you taking responsibility for your words and actions. Amazing how responsive you are now that you are being called out. Again, you and the Florida School of Real Estate have been reported. End of subject.

2021-12-16Transplanted from VA a couple of months ago and when I decided I was ready to get my real estate license here, I was immediately nervous because all I pulled up were one week classes! I knew what to expect since I’d gone through real estate school in VA, so I just didn’t believe that was enough time. I know some people can do it, but that’s not me. So, I was so happy to find Florida School of Real Estate and the two week course that fit my schedule perfectly (enough time to get kids to school and before they arrive from school)! It is still fast paced, of course, but Al was a great instructor. He was interactive and made sure the class was understanding all the information thrown at us. He simplified the math which was awesome, because I am not good at math. And, he just genuinely cared and wants you to pass so you can take off running once you get out there. It’s definitely a school I will recommend to prepare you for the exam and career.

He passes on his many years of real estate experience to make the course work more relevant. He has a great sense of humor that made learning fun. 2022-08-20Being in real estate is not an easy career. It starts with the required 63 hours Sales pre license course. Al Kennedys express course is every thing you need to pass the final course exam. He covers exactly what you need to know to pass the test at the end of it. He will go over the math portion in detail. Like anything in life you have to do the work. You have to study and read outside of class. I have a background in real estate from another state and FL is not the same. I was concerned about passing it. But Al equipped us and on test day I went in there ready and able, and I passed. It is an express course so if you have difficulty retaining info and have zero experience in real estate, I would suggest you take his evening class or his 10 day instead if you cant dedicate yourself 9 hours a day, plus evenings and the one weekend. He has options for you. Either way trust his process.

2021-09-01I chose the Florida School of Real Estate two week course and am very glad that I did. Trust me when I say that Al is possibly the best instructor for this subject. His humor, knowledge, and personal interaction makes the course enjoyable. I would be lying if i said that the subject is easy...it isnt, but with Als guidance, you will succeed. He takes your success personally. Follow what he says: devote time to the reading, review your daily notes, and go back and read some more. Immerse yourself for these two weeks and youll be prepared to take the State Exam and youll be on your way to a bright future.

In fact, I just passed the state exam this morning after taking his class back in February. He was very good about making sure that you left the course with the knowledge needed to be a successful Realtor. Highly recommend the Florida School of Real Estate.

2022-07-11This class is not easy. Having very little experience with real estate and not comfortable with math, I’m very happy to have passed this course. Mr. Kennedy was great. Funny, encouraging, tough love, and very knowledgeable. I took the 7 day course and don’t regret it a single bit. I feel well prepared to take on my state exam with the knowledge and tools provided to me. If you do not understand his humor or take offense easily, do not take this course. Study every chance you get, follow the rules, and study the study guide, you will do well!*Update 7/11/22*After waiting a couple of weeks for my background check to come back, I received my invite to take the state exam. I scheduled on Friday afternoon to take the test for today- Monday afternoon. I went into the test with only a handful of study sessions since finishing the course and I am happy to say I passed on my first go around! Listen, study, and go over the candidate info that Mr. Kennedy recommends. Thankful for this course, the humor and the sticking to the info related to the exam. Mr. Kennedy was key to my success and couldnt recommend him enough!
