Amenities
Great place, clean, hosts are great, space. But, you have to buy drinking water (they have water but not cleared for drinking). Also, the airboat launch is very loud and the crowd can be interesting considering they allow rvs and some people choose this place for a less than private/more civil experience.
No thanks. Sign Says check in with camp host... but there is none. not sure where its ok to park. Says fishing but ur no where near the boat ramp and a sign says u cant clean fish anywhere. Lol. They have the campers fenced in... away from the toilet. Makes zero sense. Packed in like an rv park. No thanks. (PLEASE dont be the idiot who runs a generator ALL night! Learn how to boondock! )

2022-04-24FREE Campground, with the excellence of a host, with bathrooms accessibility, not flush bathrooms but Im very grateful that thos FREE Campground have also restrooms for campers, visitors or anyone who needed. You have a restrooms with paper toilet and dont need to rush to other place or rush thru the woods.Enough accessibility also on campsites lots, where I can put my 37 rv and have a lot of room to play, do BBQ, etc.Hours of silent, between 11pm to 7am are respected, out of those hours u can hear the air boats, cars, generators, others, but not on silent hours.Easy accessibility to a principal road, no highway, and not busy, the normal average. And yes, a place where u can fish without a need of boat, from The dock. All I mentioned, u can see it thru the pictures, the fishing dock, enough of space, also trails where u can find fruits.

2022-05-12This place is incredible, its exactly what you dream about in a campground. Boat ramp, hiking trails long and short a humongous bat house to control insects. The Hosts Felix and Audrey are outstanding. They keep the place spotless they really show care even the way they collect the pine cones and falling branches is cute, it looks so pretty that you can not tell its trash they also practice excellent customer service. My family absolutely love this place

2022-02-28Great free Camping Spot!! Stayed 4 days and Mark was an excellent host.Sites are wide and trees are cleared enough for our 36’ fifth wheel. Even enough sun through the trees to keep our batteries charged on solarMake sure you get your permit early and enjoy!

2022-02-22Nice area for a day trip. Not very many camping spots, even without all the RVs parked there. Close to the river but no access to fish except on the boat ramp. Very close to busy highway - not much peace and quiet.

2019-12-01Nice campsites for primitive camping. Found plenty of wood to cut up and make a campfire. Water was very shallow in the canal but once you get to the river gets a little deeper. Lots of alligators and birds. Definitely worth the trip. Bathroom was nasty had no running water.

2022-03-05Could have been a nice camping spot, if not for the nasty restroom. You are better off taking a dump outside in the fresh air.
