I recently had the pleasure (and I don’t use that word lightly) of working with Brian Faulkner at Pine Island Realty. From beginning to end, Brian was professional, knowledgeable and a true joy to work with.Brian came highly recommended by another realtor (over a thousand miles from Florida) that I had enjoyed working with some years ago. They knew I needed a realtor that I could work with from out of state, and I am grateful for their recommendation. Brian made the process completely stress free, and he went above and beyond to help me achieve a result that exceeded my expectations.To be honest, it was easier working with Brian (at a considerable distance) than it was working (face to face) with a number other realtors over the years.
We have purchased two properties, sold one and rented a seasonal property through Mike Faulkner and the Pine Island Realty team.They have always gone beyond expectations in serving us. You cannot go wrong working with Mike and his team for your realty needs, he is very knowledgeable and always responsive.
We really enjoyed working with Mike Faulkner. He gathered a great selection of homes for us to walk through on short notice. His knowledge of various rules, regulations and potential problems that could surface in the area were invaluable. When we fell in love with the home we picked and it turned out he was also the selling agent, he made our interests and the sellers needs equally important so we all felt like winners. We had never purchased a home in Florida before so we appreciated his guidance on the various types of insurance and inspections that are required. He followed up after we moved in to ensure everything was still ok and even provided a handyman to fix some of the little things that needed attention. Our permanent residence is in Virginia but after vacationing on Sanibel Island in South Florida for several years we decided to buy a home in the area. We wanted something near Sanibel but a bit less developed and commercial and so we decided on nearby Pine Island. Not knowing anyone in the area who could make recommendations we began our home search by contacting Pine Island Realty. Seemed a logical choice and it turned out to be an excellent choice. Mike Faulkner, owner of Pine Island Realty, is one of the best realtors weve ever worked with. Not only was he highly knowledgeable of Pine Island and the inventory of homes available, he was also very helpful in steering us to local accommodations on our trips down to look at homes. We had a pretty clear idea of what we were looking for and a price range. He listened and worked within those parameters to help us find a home that suited us rather than simply trying to sell us on something he wanted to move. Additionally, he was helpful in recommending local service providers, i.e. lawn maintenance, etc. after we bought our home. Our experience with Mike was all around pleasant; before, during and after our home buying process. Highly Recommend!

First, I apologize for the length of this review but buying a home is quite personal. Mike Faulkner and Pine Island Realty are the single and only reason we have a home on the island. Mike worked with us for many years searching for the right property. We saw many prospective homes in person, and hundreds electronically. In all but a very few contenders, Mike actually talked us out of making an offer. We would even send him listings we found on line and he would give us the real “scoop” on each one and why they did or didn’t fit. You see, Mike understood our timeline (not yet retired), and our wants for dockage and access, home size and character, and of course cost. Even though we were flexible on cost, Mike was keenly focused on value and market - both current and future. BTW, those other homes sold. The end result for us could not have been better. Our past experiences with other real estate brokers and showings always ended with “What do you want your offer to be?”. We didn’t hear that once from Mike!

Those involve with rental support are very responsive and at times go above and beyond to insure the home owner is happy. This is a review based on the rental management services offered by Pine Island Realty. I was originally supposed to be in charge of maintaining the communication with Kelly Cruz. Unfortunately, due to the severe lack of professionalism and inability to handle a property my mother ended up having to take over the entire process while I was on relocation for work. She simply did not feel comfortable asking me to work with Kelly Cruz. I’ll make it brief - awful is nicest way to put it. Damages were found throughout our newly renovated water front property. A pet was allowed in the house without prior consent. (Above 50 pounds) To say this was a disappoint is an understatement. It is in your best interest to not use their rental management services and I would never trust them with selling my home for that matter. It has been an absolute disgrace the attitude and lack of respect Kelly Cruz has displayed. I advised my parents to completely sever ties to this realty group. We will be selling our home. Not with Pine Island Realty. STAY AWAY!!!
Pine Aland Realty is one of the most top notch , professional companies I have ever worked with. plus they are very personable and helpful. I have had many experiences with real estate companies around the country as bot customer and client and they are one of the best.

Terri James at Pine Island Realty not only sold us our place in St James City, she also sold it for us 6 years later. In the 6 years we were in St James City, I cannot count the times that I called Terri for random information. She always knew someone that could help us out with our projects, upgrades and fixes. She just knows everybody!We sold our property to someone who had a 100% financed VA Loan. She jumped through about a million hoops, and still got the deal done as smoothly as possible. Paula is the most professional, knowledgeable and morally intact real estate agent I have ever encountered.Paula aided my family in finding and purchasing a property on Pine Island. From our first encounter I was impressed with her knowledge base and professional acumen. Paula always goes above and beyond to aid you at every step. Adam Sarhan, was the agent on duty at Pine Island Realty, the Sunday afternoon that we drove to Pine Island for our first visit while vacationing on Ft. Myers Beach. We were curious to see what the island had to offer. We were not in the market to buy a home at the time. I was a out of town buyer, and I was making the island my new home. My prior experience with island agents were, to put it politely, frustrating and infuriating. Terri James was not the average island agent. She knows the island, she listened and understood what I wanted/needed and actually negotiated on my behalf. Terri went above and beyond for me and even walked me thru the houses so I could see the properties for myself via her phone. I am thrilled with my island home. When I speak to friends and family about moving to the area, and when they are ready, she is the ONLY agent I will recommend. But I have a list of others to stay away from. I found him to be extremely knowledgeable in the real estate market and pine island specifically. When I decided to pursue building a home, he was able to walk me through that process as well. The deal didn’t go together, but we remembered Mikes efforts.Fast forward 14 years and this summer we decided to buy the home we had always wanted in Bokeelia. We immediately thought of Mike and called him. Today, he owns the agency, and was every bit as helpful as in the past. We sorted through several options and found our dream home.Small things count. 2019-09-17We worked with Pine Island Realty in the spring of 2018 to sell our home and we couldnt have been more pleased! We feel truly blessed to have had the opportunity to work with Mike Faulkner and the team at Pine Island Realty. My wife and I were treated not only as valued clients but also as friends. One time, I accidentally locked myself out of my house and had no way to get back in. Although, Mike Faulkner was out of town on business, his son Brian Faulkner left his date with his wife to drive several miles back to Pine Island from Fort Myers so that I could get into my house. I can’t say Brian’s wife was happy about the situation but I can say that I was really thankful for his generosity.
