I have been living at Legacy for the last 7 months and highly recommend this place because of its proximity to campus, safety with location, and great management. I have had numerous interactions with Remi, the assistant community manager, and she has always been responsive, pleasant, and receptive to all my concerns. I decided to recently renew, and Remi played a big role in making sure everything went smoothly for me. Thank you Remi and to all the other staff members who are also always ready to help! I look forward to another year at Legacy.
Legacy Student Living apartments are spacious and well equipped with everything a student would need. The property is well kept and clean. I have had some issues with the unit itself but the staff has been more than accommodating and swift with their responses and fixes.
I have lived here for two years and I don’t have any major complaints! The bedrooms are huge compared to most other apartments around campus, and the property is kept nice! The staff are friendly and helpful, and do a good job with giving a heads up of any maintenance being done that might affect residents. My only issue is that there are six floors of parking, and only twelve guest spots. It is ridiculously hard to have guests over because of this. Other than that, when I compare my experience here to those of my friends at other apartment complexes, I feel super lucky!!
The 2x2 units have super spacious bedrooms and bathrooms. There isn’t much counter space in the kitchen, but the cabinets have a pretty decent amount of storage considering the size of the space. Maintenance is always quick and efficient. Really, the only downsides are the small living rooms and the lack of amenities. Other than that, it’s a great place to live.
DO NOT LIVE HERE. This places has changed dramatically in the last year for the worst. Apartments are old, dusty , stairwells are so rusted they have gapping holes in them. Outside is not well maintained. Management has terrible attitudes and will make up the most ridiculous charges upon move out for things that were already dirty or missing on move in. Terrible and Disgusting.
Dont live here if you want to get ripped off. I lived here for 2.5 years and they charged my roommate and I $450 (each) for changing a couch. The couch deteriorated during covid because the apartment was vacant. The complex did not understand this and they proceeded to charge us each that specific amount. When you move out, they will probably charge you a fee for whatever random reason just so they can get your money. My first year living at legacy was an incredible experience but I do have to say after they change management everything went downhill. Beware of the high utilities fees. My first year living here they used to charge us $50 for utilities but since theyve changed management utilities ranged from $70-$120. So beware of this.
I will like to know which building these reviews are for. My daughter signed a lease based on apartments she was shown in the building where the offices are. She had no idea that Legacy has several buildings. Today we went to see from the outside the apartment she was assigned in the S Building. Entrance looks like an abandoned and homeless place, trash, dirty, absolutely discusting. The elevators are the worst, dirty, stains everywhere, rusty, and with dead roaches. We were afraid to touch anything. I cant believe what we are paying for leaving in something like this. Pool is broken water is brown.
I love legacy student living! The rooms are large and clean. The office staff is always so welcoming and the maintenance staff is AMAZING and FAST. So far, I haven’t had any major issues with the complex and I appreciate the price and proximity to FSU.(Only downfall is the minimal amount of visitor parking but with all the other benefits, I don’t see this as a major downfall)8 month edit:This property is nice- inside and out. It is very well taken care of and the office staff is friendly. The location is also very appealing as it’s only a couple steps away from the STEM side of campus. Parking is decent and the pool is nice.HOWEVER, since writing my last review I’ve had a couple problems...-It’s is nearly impossible to contact the property manager. She doesn’t answer emails and she’s always “busy” when you ask for her in the office. Maintenance also does not notify you for routine inspections/upkeep so they have shown up at my door unexpected a couple times.-High utilities are also a problem here, at least lately. My roommate and I used to pay about $60-$75 per month but for some reason we are now paying $120 even though we have had an energy audit, changed our usage habits, and don’t use our AC. We also found out from the city that the property only has 1 water meter so controlling your water bill is impossible. The complex takes the total water bill and divides it evenly between the residents which isn’t very appealing if you’re looking to save money-We have asked maintenance to come look at some of the common problems suggested by the electric company during their audit, but they have refused to look at many of the potential problems. (Note: they are still fast to address maintenance requests and most of the team is quite friendly, but we have not had any substantial requests met). The head maintenance man always assumes that we know nothing about how electricity or appliances work, and seems to have a misogynist disposition (I say this because his mood greatly changes when talking to male figures in my life and because he refers to us as “the girls” who have caused all the problems).-fees are very high here. In order to pay online, it’s is a $5-$7 fee. You also pay an $8 fee just to pay utilities simply because legacy splits the bill for you and your roommate. Also, rent has been on the rise across the past 3 years since moving in (August 2019) and even with the seemingly low rent, it is still a little under $800 for a 1x1 in a 2x2.None of this is meant to hold you back from living here, but please be mindful of the fees. Advocate for yourself and read every single word of your lease. The property is very nice, honestly one of the nicer ones in the area. I am very grateful to have lived here for 2 years, however, due to the reasons listed above, it is time to move on.
The staff helps me with issues right away! I am close to campus, so I can walk to class, and there are several bus stops just a few minutes away, plus they have parking lots if you have a car. Their apartments look new and clean, the building looks well kept. i have never had issues with anything here at legacy, and Ive lived here for 3 years total. I have lived in other complexes, but I could not resist coming back.
Ive lived at Legacy for the past four years while attending FSU. Its walking distance to campus, which is why I was drawn the the complex. My current best friend was my random roommate Freshman year and it was LITERALLY a perfect match. The office staff is always friendly and they always have food. Anytime that I had a problem, the manager, Ashley always made sure my concerns were heard and they were swiftly resolved. Id stay here another year if I wasnt graduating.
My daughter has lived at Legacy Suites for her last two years and we have felt safe and secure. The garage is fabulous, and we can get guest passes when we visit. Any time she has had a small issue, maintenance or the front desk handles it quickly and efficiently. It is close to campus and amenities, with a very well lit and patrolled university walkway to FSU.
Love almost everything about Legacy. Within walking distance to fsu. Noise is low, I can hardly hear my neighbors even when theyre partying or have dogs barking. 1 bedroom units are pretty spacious. Amenities are reasonable (pool, gym, study area) and they dont overdo it so its just what you need and stays within budget. Staff are friendly and issues are addressed pretty quickly. One complaint is sometimes staff give wrong information so make sure you triple check with them.
Living at Legacy Suites (specifically the 2x2s) for the last two years has been such an incredible experience. The staff in the leasing office are absolutely amazing and are always kind and ready to help. The maintenance men are always on top of things and get requests done within 24 hours of you submitting it. While the living room and kitchen are not the largest (but are definitely suitable for just two people) the apartment makes up for it with extremely large bedrooms and bathrooms. I highly recommend Legacy Suites to anyone that’s looking for a nice, quiet, and reliable apartment to spend their college years at.
I love living at legacy! The bedrooms are HUGE and its super close to campus & many food places like jersey mikes chipotle and chickfila. The staff is super helpful and available at all times and the maintenance also is super nice and respond super quick to any issues. Highly recommend, especially for the price!!
The price for a two by two here honestly cant be beat. The location is great as well, being so close to both FSU campus and Tennessee, giving access to nearly all of Tallahassee. The rooms have plenty of space, allowing for customization and personalization unlike most places. Not to mention it comes furnished already, so thats a big money saver. While the kitchen is somewhat on the smaller side, its serviceable for two.The main issue Ive found here is the parking policy, which has changed recently. While there is plenty of space in the garage, with the top floors being nearly deserted all the time, visitor spots have been restricted to six meager spots on the roof, most of which are already taken or have residents in them to save them for their visitors. The pass system that used to be implemented is no longer allowed and makes having guests over, both family and friends, much more difficult. This is the only thing I would wish to be addressed, possibly putting in a system where passes are allowed, but only work for the top couple of floors? Who knows, but it would be very nice.Maintenance is snappy and respectful, theres plenty of communication between staff and residents, and honestly Im happy to resign here for another year.
This is my third year living at Legacy and I have loved it ever since I moved in. My bedroom is huge, and the wood floors in the kitchen and living room are nice. If you ever have a problem, the office and mantance staff are super helpful. The gym is small but they have nice equipment and it’s 24/7. They keep the outside area and the pool really clean as well.
Such a great place to live! Ashley and Rachel are super helpful along with all the staff. The maintenance team is always on top of everything and you never have to wait for you work orders to get taken care of. Love the location and the vibes and the parking garage is such a plus. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for student housing next to FSU without pay an arm and a leg. 10/10 would renew if I wasnt moving out of town.
Living at legacy has been one of the best decisions I’ve made in my 4 years in Tallahassee. This is the perfect place to live, especially in a 1x1 and with a pet. This the absolute best price you can get for the location of the apartment that is a 1x1, it’s about a 5 minute walk from campus and so many restaurants. The complex is very close to the stadium and the st marks trail so it’s perfect for game days but it is still very quiet all the time. Everything in my apartment was in perfect condition when I moved in and maintenance and management have already gone above and beyond for me! I already know I will without a doubt be living at legacy again next year.
Legacy Suites has been one of the best apartments I’ve lived in during my four years. I currently live in a 2/2 and the rooms are spacious, the bathrooms are pretty big, and the common area is perfect for two. The maintenance people come very quickly to fix anything you might need. The price isn’t bad either for a 2/2
Legacy is the second apartment complex I’ve lived at in Tallahassee and I’m way happier at this complex than the other. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. Additionally, any maintenance issues I’ve had, have been completed either within the hour or within the day. The price for their 2x2 is very affordable especially with how close legacy is to FSU. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a spacious bedroom, helpful management, and walking distance to campus!
Not sure if the pricing of this place should match what you get. First off the air flow is HORRIBLE. I had mold grow in my apartment within a month of moving in. Now whenever I take a shower, even when I have no electricity running other than my water heater and bathroom light/fan, my breaker is blown. Every. Time. I’ve put in a fix for maintenance but I’m not even sure they actually know how to fix this problem and I’m not sure they even came to look at this issue.
This place is the hidden gem for off campus student apartments that are extremely close to FSU for a very reasonable price. Theres a bus stop close by and the school is well within a 5 minute walk. The bedrooms are also the largest compared to competitors, with the living room and kitchen size being fair for two people with ample amounts of storage. The property grounds are also very clean. The location is also overall extremely safe. I did have my bike stolen last semester, so if you have one, I would suggest a strong u lock. Maintenance is also very helpful, friendly and timely on fixes. The office staff is friendly and very quick at sorting through mail.
The location is great, rooms are more than enough space for anyone. Also pet friendly which is super convenient. The staff couldnt be more helpful throughout the leasing process, and helping with anything Ive needed during my time there. I was able to get my room locked in and lease fully squared away through the help of many of their leasing agents, but specifically Brooke who was fantastic and made the entire process super transparent for me I can recall. Awesome place, awesome staff, fantastic place to live.
Legacy has been a great place to live for me. We had a small issue upon move in but Ashleigh, the property manager worked with us and was very attentive and helpful to make sure everything went well. Maintenance is awesome. When I put in a request they’re almost always there the same day and are really friendly. Also it’s a great value for money! I would definitely recommend it here.
I love living here at legacy student living! The apartments are really nice my only issue is there’s not enough parking for the one bedroom apartments and there’s only 5 visitors spots which people from surrounding apartment complexes also park in making it impossible to get a secure spot for your guests. Several times I’ve had no place for my parents to park in and they had to park in my friends apartment complexes so they didn’t get towed. For how much these apartments cost you’d think they’d come up with a better solution to allowing visitors to stay the night.
This will be my second year living here and definitely my last. They have now taken your right to visitors completely. I can never have anyone over because there are only 6 guest parking spots for the hundreds of people living at Legacy and Quantum. The WiFi is the worst part. I have called to have it fixed twice and one time they never came and second time they told me to get another router to possibly get some WiFi from downstairs neighbor because Legacy set it up so only a few people have the an access port. The AC is not even throughout the apartment. One room is freezing while the other is super hot. The walls are so thin you can hear everything. The pool is also very awkwardly in the middle of the apartment complex. Do not recommendThe maintenance is the only redeemable part.
I absolutely loved living at Legacy Student Living. Their 2/2s are perfect size for myself and my roommate. The staff is super kind and do their best to help me solve my problems. They constantly have events for their residents with free things. Maintenance is always on top of their game with maintenance requests and the managers are beyond sweet! 10/10 recommend living here if you are interested! #thebest
Favorite place Ive lived. Great area, affordable given the competition. Personally, the staff is very personable and willing to help you (and your pet) and that is true of maintenance, that has always let me know my options for fixing problems (thought there have been few) and is timely! Sad to leave here after graduation.
This is my second year living at LSL, and the experience has been pretty positive! The entire staff is incredibly friendly, and the maintenance orders are surprisingly fast. I love the large size of the rooms and the general vibe of the community. Being close to campus is a huge plus and in addition to that you have a large variety of restaurants within walking distance. Only drawback would be parking garage and often having to go to the fourth and fifth floors for parking at night - but in the grand scheme this isnt bad and the third floor skyway makes up for it.Thomas Larson
I have lived here for about a year and just resigned my lease. The staff is always so nice and accommodating to the residents. Maintenance works hard to answer your requests within the next day and are always so helpful. The room size, location and parking situation are such a treat for the comparatively great price of rent. 10/10 would highly recommend living here!!
As a current resident, I really dont want to come back here next year. From the start Ive been having issues with administration - I was told I could not move in and had to change my travel plans because of an issue with them losing my paperwork. The gift card incentive they promised residents at move-in seems to have disappeared, after multiple weeks I have still heard nothing-answers from the office. Any issue I have tried to bring to the offices attention is met with we cant do anything, we would need to speak to corporate. Dont get me wrong, theres a lot to love about the property itself, apart from the fact that the business center is closed due to the pandemic despite having to pay for it, but dealing with the administration and their complete lack of courtesy toward the residents is already enough to make me regret signing this lease.
I have lived here now for a year and can’t say enough good things about the property and staff. This year I am living in a 1x1 and I have resigned to live here the following year as well. When I first moved in the biggest thing for me was the location close to campus and the fact that it is by far the best 1x1 in Tallahassee for the price and there is truly nothing close in comparison as the units are spacious and upgraded. The maitainence staff has always been both timely and friendly in fixing anything that has gone wrong with my unit. The staff is also extremely friendly and both the leasing agents and the manager have always gone out of their way to make sure that I was taken care of. Once again I can’t stress enough how much I have enjoyed my time living here so far and would recommend it to anyone interested
Lived here for 2 years and the maintenance crew are always quick to fix things and are very good at their jobs. The office always has free candy and gives free food away pretty often. The locations really close to FSU and its on the bus routes so it makes the commute to campus easy. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious. The kitchen and living room are pretty small. Theres a machine on the left side of the north building that theyve recently disclosed to me has something to do with water pressure, but it will ring all day and all night if you, the resident, dont go and press a button to turn it off. It is loud enough to wake you up out of your sleep several times a night. They come to fix it every other week and make it seem like its a problem thats out of their hands, but it didnt happen at all last year. Hopefully, theyll find an actual fix for it eventually. Overall, its an okay place to live.
My son has lived at Legacy Suites nearly a year now. I have stayed with him on multiple occasions and I am always amazed at how quiet it is there. He has an outside, 2nd floor apartment. The bedrooms and bathrooms are huge. Yes, the kitchen and living room is tiny but thats not important to him. The covered parking is nice for me when I come to visit. Everything is clean and maintenance responds rather quickly to his requests. The only problem we had was that his bike was stolen from the bike rack. That is easy to fix. The new bike stays inside! If I could request one thing of Legacy Suites, it would be to offer a Aug. 1 move in option. Having a 2/3 week span between leases is not ideal for a student that doesnt have options to store his things.
Legacy has been nothing but great for these past few months! I’ve already resigned another year. The maintenance has been consistently fast and efficient, the rooms are huge, and it just feels like home! Being right next to campus to be able to walk or bike has been great as well.
Out of all the college apartments i’ve had the last 4 years, Legacy is by far the best. The prices are so reasonable for 2x2s/1x1s, especially considering how close it is to FSU. You can get nearly anywhere on campus within a 5 - 20 minute walk. The leasing office staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, and any maintenance needs are resolved quickly. Theyre always giving away free food and stuff too. The apartments are kept up very well and fully furnished. The ONLY downside i’ve come across is limited guest parking, which can be overcome by the availability of street parking.
Pros and cons to this place. I live here in a 1/1. Parking is ridiculous for the one bedrooms. They have 5 guest parking spots which are ALWAYS full since they are closer to the 2 bedroom building. They have a full garage that they refuse to let the people/guests in the one bedroom building use. So if you ever have a guest over, know they WONT have parking. A family member came to visit and they refused to give them a parking pass. The apartment is a good size for me ALONE. With pets or guests it gets very cramped. In the summer you WILL get roaches but it wont last as it gets colder(this will be the situation in almost any Tallahassee apartment complex). Staff is usually helpful. I have had multiple occasions where I called to place a work order and followed up the next day to find out they had never placed it. Pretty sure its just one man who does that though. Crime is rare. The cement walls do a great job in blocking out surrounding noise. Its a 15 minute walk to the center of campus but I will not be renewing.
I dont advise living here. The only true convenience of Legacy Suites is the proximity to campus, restaurants, bars and the staff is mediocre like any other student housing staff. The rooms are big but the common area and kitchen are tiny. Utilities are way to high, it can often be noisy, people leave trash outside their apt doors and in the garage & you are bound to hear your roommate and neighbors through the walls. I enjoyed living here at first but got fed up with it before I knew it. Then to top it off they are billing me an excess of fees assessed upon my move out without any real documentation of the assessment, in addition to 2 extra months of utilities.
Love living at legacy !! I have been living here for 2 years and have had little to no issues. Though the kitchen is a bit small for a 2/2, the room size makes up for it!! Also...super close to campus. It takes about 5-10 minutes to walk. Would definitely recommend to others !
My son has been at Legacy Suites for a year with my co-signature. The service and environment has been fair to poor, but it is close to the FSU campus. There have been unpleasant experiences such as leaving other’s trash in his apartment after unannounced maintenance calls and taking five days and numerous calls to remove it. However, the parking area is ample for the neighborhood. The real problem started when they enticed him to renew a lease eight months early. Having just turned 18 one month before, they took advantage of him and convinced him to renew for another apartment with hardwood floors for the next school year, an important improvement for his health from the less-than-impressive carpets. When it was time for the move to the new apartment, the fraudulent bait and switch tactic was fully identified by the apartment managers and their supervisors. Since the assistant manager who promised the hardwood floors for the early renewal was no longer with the company (there is frequent turnover at the leasing office), the clear verbal contract and commitment was no longer binding according to several levels of management. It was our problem. We could complain or sue them or not, but we had to stay and pay. Senior management within Capstone Real Estate Investments repeatedly refused to return any calls or attempt to address the situation. It is an extremely frustrating and unacceptable situation. Beware of this complex and any complex associated with Capstone Real Estate Investments located in Alabama.
I had a great experience living at Legacy. All of the staff are friendly and were able to accommodate nearly every issue that arose while i was living there. If I had to live in the Tallahassee area again I wouldnt think twice about living anywhere but Legacy. Clean, friendly and spacious units. Rose above any expectations I had.
Units are ok but office was no help during Corona time. Even though the apartment will be empty from March 2020 until Aug 2020 they expect full payment including electric. Cant use the parking lot, pool and they are not responding to maintenance calls but full payment is due. DO NOT sign a lease for any semester unless they add a Corona addendum letting you out if FSU is closed. I would have gladly paid half price but they offered nothing. I even asked if they could turn up the a/c and turn off the water heater and they refused.
I’ve lived here for two years due to not wanting to move once more during college. It is close to campus which is the only bonus. ALTHOUGH The 1/1 building air conditioning barely works in the hot summer. My apartment’s fire alarms went off profusely for no reason and was replaced 5 times before I took it out of the wall when it still went off for no reason. The elevator is ALWAYS broken and there are days that it works so you don’t know whether it’s safe to take because there’s barely ever a sign, not disability friendly. I have even gotten stuck once. The building also has bugs. The visitors parking is extremely limited (about 7 spots for four floors of residents) and they consistently tow.
I’ve been living here for over a year and I really loved it for a while but recently, the staff has been pretty bad. They’ve been charging excessive fees for no reason and making mistakes about whether or not you paid. I don’t think it’s fair that as a college student I’m being charged excessively for something simple like being able to PARK in the apartment that I PAY rent for. That’s just extreme and unnecessary. Stop ripping people off for no reason, we’re just trying to find a decent place to live while going to college.
The only good thing about this place is their location. The staff is only nice when you don’t have a problem other then that they act clueless and like they aren’t capable enough to do anything about your problems without a manger. They only have 5 visitors spots for their whole 1/1 building, they won’t let visitors park in the parking garage and won’t even give out passes. They don’t pressure wash anything I came back from summer and my whole door was pretty much black because there was so much dirt on it. The WiFi has been out for 6 months!!! They said it was getting fixed a couple times and still nothing has happened. Water and lighting outages happen way more often then normal. This is my second year here and roaches still crawl out. There will be dog poop in the hallway for more then 2 weeks at a time. Pretty much pay 1000 for a 1/1 that is pretty small. Overall living here hasn’t been the best.
Ashley Rollins is amazing!! She has helped me so much with an issue I had with parking. She took time out of her day to call the towing place, tell them the issue, and had me walking out of there free of charge. She even gave me a gift card for the troubles I had gone through and has been so kind! No other Tallahassee apartment staff has been this helpful and genuine! I’m going to miss living here next year.
I’ve lived here for 2 years already and I’ve never felt so at home even when I’m away from home! I share a 2/2 with my best friend and it’s honestly a really comfortable living space for the both of us. The kitchen may be a bit bigger however the bedrooms make up for it for its size and privacy. It’s also really close to both FSU and TCC. As an FSU student, whenever I’m running late to class it’s really great being this close to campus because it can save so much time walking to class then driving and finding a parking spot!
This is my first year off campus and this was the best decision I made. I would resign if I werent graduating. You cant beat the price and location. The rooms and bathrooms are huge and I have so much extra space, I love it. It is so pet friendly so my dog loves it. I would give it 5 stars if it werent for the internet problems with Hotwire that I deal with. Other than that, the staff are very attentive and friendly as well.
During the course of my undergraduate career, I have lived at The Osceola, Legacy Suites, and University Village. I have to say that Legacy Suites is by far the nicest place I have lived during my undergraduate career. The bedroom and bathroom are both HUGE. Even as a woman with a large variety of beauty/health products, I could not fill even half of the drawers I had in my bathroom. It had more cabinets than the kitchen I had in my last apartment! I was also paired with a lovely roommate who became a close friend of mine. One of the things I really loved was that the walls are very thick. There have been crazy 100+ person parties in the pool area before that I could only faintly hear from inside my apartment. Noise from neighbors has never been an issue because the walls are so thick. At The Osceola the walls were so thin I could literally hear my neighbors eating cereal. They also have plenty of parking and are generous with visitor passes (but without a pass your friends WILL get towed, almost instantly). The staff is very kind and hold many fun resident events with free food. They have been great opportunities to meet new people! My only compliant is that their fire alarm system is abnormally and painfully loud. I know that sounds like a strange complaint, but you have to hear it to believe it. Hopefully they get that fixed soon. Also, maintainence loves coming into rooms sometimes unannounced to look at meaningless things. (i.e. checking for the 8th time if you have fire sprinklers in your room, why wouldnt you?) Overall, this is the best place I have lived in while living in Tallahassee and I love that I can walk to my classes. Most of my classes are in the education building which is about a 5 minute walk from this complex. The closest bus stop is about a 2 minute walk and there are dozens of great restaurants that are walking distance. You can even walk to the stadium on game days!
Good place to live. Decent price. I would say the carpet does suck that is the only design flaw. Havent had many problems and is actually a quiet place to live if you live on the outside. Nice parking garage and helpful staff...just that damn carpet. The location is the bees knees. Its just so good so close to campus and on chapel which is a nice road. Right by trail and there are multiple roads and trails to go east to campus.
The worst part about living here is the parking situation. There are not enough visitor spots (only 5 or 6) for the entire 1B.1B complex. Last time my brother came to stay for 1 night, he got towed because all of the guest spots were taken and they refused to give me a guest permit. I just asked for a guest permit for graduation weekend and they said no. When I asked why, they said it wasnt their fault and blamed the towing company. I know there will be plenty of parking available on graduation weekend because most people will have left for summer, but my family still wint be able to park here because the visitor spots are ALWAYS full. Also I have had the same problems as the other reviews have mentioned (roaches and carpet tacks).
Posting from someone else’s account, but I, Dominique Zito, lived in a renovated 1/1 that was too small to feel comfortable in. They wrongfully charged me for replacing the flooring due to “smoke smell” when I would regularly light incense to make the apartment smell differently, and lit one the day I moved out 7/31/18. They charged me $588 for replacing the carpet, when incense smell can easily be cleaned normally, not requiring full replacement. They try to rob you of your money here!! BEWARE!!! I was also charged $20 for “painting” when I scrubbed the walls for 2 days straight making sure they were as clean as they were when I arrived! I don’t know what they are thinking but take your money and GO SOMEWHERE ELSE
The only good thing about this place is the location. The staff is just a bunch of college students that dont really know what they are doing. I have been towed twice from the garage for parking in a guest spot. The rules for parking are very vague and difficult to find. It is like they want you to get towed. The wifi they give you is fast but disconnects every hour. I will be in the middle of doing homework on my laptop, when all of a sudden the wifi just disconnects for no reason, and then it takes another thirty minutes for me to connect back to the wifi.I cannot wait to leave this place. I dont care if I have to live an extra ten minutes away from FSU to get some better service.
Do not move in here. They have a very rude staff that do not care about tenants in any way. Especially, a guy named Austin, he wouldnt even say Hi or thanks. Rent is pretty high, it is now $689, not including utilities. The place is not even in front of a bus stop as they claim (its about a 3-4 minute walk). Neighbors are about as loud as they can get, and during the summer, people do speeding and drifting on the parking garage. Do not throw away your money.
DO NOT MOVE HERE!!! The 1B1B is horrible! Basically living in the projects. The bedroom flooring looks like office carpet. The carpet do not go with anything. Cement walls feels very cheap and the A/C unit does not circulate the whole apart. Your living room can be warm and your bedroom will be cold because their is no air vent! There is a small, ugly vent in the bedroom wall that SUPPOSE to circulate air but it dont. Roaches as big as rats. They had pest control come serval times and there are still roaches. Parking is horrible, good luck trying to find parking and if you want guest to come over you might as well make them walk or pick them up. There are only SIX visitor parking spots out of the whole complex. With rent and utilities put together you about 1,000 deep in pocket so you might as well get an nice apartment with a balcony. There is plenty more i can say! Just do NOT move here!!
Legacy has floors of empty parking garage space but instead of giving spots to Quantum for a decent rate they decided to charge an abusrd amount so Quantum residents either had to pay $900 for a PARKING SPOT. or dont have a spot, plus this led to 0 guest parking. I dont live here but this is incredibly inconsiderate and reflects very poorly on your buisness.
Ashley Rollns is amazing! Ashley was so helpful when we spoke about both Legacy and their sister property Quantum. She patiently answered all of my questions and I found her to be knowledgeable and well spoken. Although we decided to lease next door at Quantum, Ashley was extremely helpful and she is an asset to the Capstone Properties team!
Legacy is the best! I just resigned for a second year I love it so much! Any issue Ive ever had has been resolved within a few hours! Maitenence and office staff are absolutely amazing! 10/10 would reccomend (The rooms and bathroom are huge) come see it for yourself !
Currently living here. SO small. Theres exposed tacks along the edge of the walls and in the dividers from carpet to linoleum that can pierce your feet. Everything is cheaply made acrylic paint on sheet rock. The BUGS!! I have a very clean apartment and there are roaches EVERYWHERE!! We have had to wash my cats water dish multiple times from finding roaches in it and change his food as well. There are roaches in the cabinets. We have had them spray before and still they come back. Dont live here!
BEWARE: Our daughter stayed in these apartments, be cautious of #329 as it flooded in the kitchen with water in July 2018 due to broken fitting to dishwasher under the sink. It was musty when she moved in last year and is still musty, which may be a sign of ongoing water problems that have lingered. 329B also flooded in the bathroom sink area due to a broken line. They have been running fans and dehumidifiers ever since. It is my feeling that they will not properly repair the water damage and just mask the problem and rent it out.😡
They sold parking garage spots to Quantum and Osceola. They use that as an excuse to have 6 visitor spots for ALL THREE APARTMENT COMPLEXES, even though it was their decision to sell the spots. The wifi is so bad, it goes in and out all the time. Called the wifi company to have it fixed, and they said there is no fix. Roommate and friends who live at Legacy also say they have the same issue. Something kind of important to have.
This place was terrible! the carpet was a mess, there were always black people and this jerk asian kid that would rev their engines in the parking garage, the washing machine sucks, the ceiling look like it had a leak, the refrigerator made the loudest sound, and youd have to tell them like 5 times about any problems before they even thought about doing something about it, this place is WAAAAAY more expensive than its worth, there is NO security no matter what they tell you in the office, the utility bill is always expensive because all of the appliances are old and drain energy like you wouldnt believe. this place sucks royally.
SUBMITTED BY TROY W. - AUG 03, 2020|RECOMMENDED: YESTHIS PLACE IS GREAT, YOU REALLY FEEL LIKE THE MANAGEMENT HAS YOUR BACK, THE APARTMENTS ARE COZY AND THE BEDROOMS ARE LIKE LUXURY HOTEL ROOMS, VERY FIVE STAR, THE KIDS HERE ARE GREAT, THE AREA FEELS LIKE YOUR LIVING ON CAMPUS INSTEAD OF OFF, IVE LIVED IN TALLY FOR ONE YEAR NOW AND JUST MOVED TO LEGACY BUT I WISH I FOUND THIS PLACE EARLIER. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY ANYWHERE ELSE. THIS IS THE BEST OFF CAMPUS DORM IN TALLAHASSEE BAR NONE.
I actually had an ok experience living here. It was incredibly loud on weekends, many maintenance requests were delayed/forgotten (including a smoke alarm that was clearly malfunctioning and keeping my roommate and myself up in the middle of the night), and I had a couple of scary experiences with unknown people banging on my door past midnight, but would have overall probably merited a 3 star rating. This has dropped to 1 star (none isnt an option) because of an experience I have just had with them. I moved out of Legacy Suites 10 months ago (I wanted something quieter) and I just got a letter today from their management company that if I do not pay a bill (there was no explanation for what the bill was for) within 30 days, they will send it to collections. I have heard zero correspondence from them since I moved out, though they obviously had my email address (residents are contacted so often it should be considered spamming) and I provided the valid forwarding address to my permanent residence, which was where this bill was sent. Why on earth was I not contacted for 10 MONTHS, and why was there no justification provided for the bill even though my roommate and I left the place PRISTINE? This has all the markings of a scam, and I will be fighting it. Save yourself the trouble - DO NOT let them fool you into living here with their pretty pool and model room.

2022-05-01Overall a good apartment complex, the leasing office is kind and helpful. The apartments are on the more expensive side, the gym is well fitted, the pool is awesome, the buildings are relatively quiet, and a lack of visitor parking. There is only 10 visitor parking spots for over 500 residents at legacy. The biggest reasons for 3 stars are the following: lack of visitor parking, the management is not open to new ideas at the complex such as electric car chargers, solar, green roofs, a larger community garden, etc. and the office often fails to charge people for dog poop and littering near the dumpsters. Overall it is okay, but I have been disappointed recently.

2022-03-17Everyone in the office was amazing as we went through the move in process with our son. He has been very happy staying here and knowing that he will be taken care of while he is away at school is a huge relief for us. We definitely recommend this complex and appreciate their level of caring about their tenants.

2022-03-17My son loves living here and the staff is beyond awesome. The apartments are a nice size, perfect for a single. The staff is attentive to resident needs and requests and they always have fun contests and events to give them a break from studies. Highly recommend for your students home away from home!

2022-01-23My son moved into the apartment complex a few weeks ago, as he began college in the US. We had a great experience with the Legacy Student Living’s team, both in the initial shopping for the apartment, as well as with the whole move in process and quality and maintenance of the rooms.Remi was always especially kind and helpful with all our questions and requests. They accomodated our request of being able to move in a few days before the official move in date, based on our international travel requirements. The room we were assigned was clean and well maintained, and is comfortably close enough to the university campus. It has been a great experience and my son is very happy with his living arrangements.

2022-06-07I love Legacy! Ive lived here for 2 years and am truly sad to be leaving in a month. The apartment is the perfect size for me and they have everything I need. I love that its so close to FSU and so many other resturants and stores. Its right in front of the trail, which is perfect if you love nature walks or have dogs! I HIGHLY recommend Legacy to anyone looking for a 1x1 in Tallahassee!

2022-03-15Only ever saw 3 roaches here (better odds than the rest of tallahassee). furniture in apartment has a rustic charm, and the couches have a unique and edgy feel. Strong variation in temperature throughout the apartment, which gives a sense of immersion throughout multiple climates.

2022-04-21If youre counting roaches and basing how good this apartment is off that, the apartment is a 10/10. BUt if you care about other problems like how helpful the leasing agents are, overpriced utilities, and other overall structural issues designed to make money off college kids, this apartment is a 1/10 at best. Make sure you speak to someone that lives here before you move in because sometimes the sunshine and rainbows dont translate as perfectly as they look in pictures and tours. For the arm and a leg they charge us, definitely not worth it. Especially to mention that the complex has been here since the early 90s (my uber driver pointed out his old apartment from the 80s-90s one night), you have a million better options than this exploitation of kids.

2022-05-30Dont live here unless you like hearing gunshots, awful music, and screeching tires in the parking garage all night, every night, and having the managers tell you to deal with it yourself when you ask them to help. This place has the worst management Ive ever seen in any student housing. On top of that, theyve increased rent $150 in a year and parking fees by almost $200STAY AWAY from this place.

2022-04-29The price is the best you can find if you want to live on your own and not pay $1300+. The parking is trash though and when you want to have visitors you have to beat everyone in the building to get a pass first. the resident perks and giveaways are great (free food Friday & overall really nice)

2021-02-16Perfect College Apartment — I have thoroughly enjoyed living at Legacy Suite Apartments. The 1x1 apartment is plenty big enough for me and my dog. The biggest perk for me is being so close to campus. My dog especially loves the trail behind the apartment that leads to the stadium. My apartment is newly renovated with updated appliances, but if I do have an issue maintenance responds very quickly and fixes the issue. The office staff are very friendly and are always so nice to me. I feel safe as a female living here as the parking lot is well lit, as well as the hallways. I wish I would have lived here for all of my years at FSU!
