I own a Real Estate company located in Port St Lucie and we specialize in Property Management. I have used several plumbers before finally meeting John the owner of Mr. Rooter. After getting 3 quotes to fix an underground pipe, not only did he save the property owner thousands of dollars, he also found a resolution to not having to rip up the new tile flooring. He earned my trust and I have been using his company ever since for all of our plumbing repairs for our owners and for my personal home as well. Highly recommended!
We have had service three times. The first service call was a main break that John fixed. It was a great job! The second service was with Todd when we remodeled our guest bathroom. He added a sink to the counter, sealed the old shower drain and ran plumbing for the new shower/tub combo. It turned out beautifully! This last visit was with John again. He replaced our 40 gallon hot water tank with a tankless system. It is one of the best upgrades we have ever made to our house! Trust them. You wont ever be disappointed!
We had our RO system removed and needed the water line to the fridge working again. Clint came at the time that was promised, and he was really friendly and professional. Prices seemed fair, will definitely use these services again!
It was a bit expensive for a small leak but the response time and knowledge was top tier quality. The technician arrived way faster then I expected which was awesome and the quality of the repair was best.
We just bought a home and had a number of items that needed repaired or replaced: Water heaters (2), Ice Maker, Water Softener and Jacuzzi tub. John was very knowledgeable about all the products. We could not even get another plumber to work on our Hydro System tub because it was a custom job. He got with the manufacturer, performed tests, acquired parts and got the job done. I dont know what we would have done if we hadnt found Mr. Rooter Plumbing of the Treasure Coast. John is honest, conscientious, and gets the job done, no mater what it takes. I would highly recommend this company to anyone.
We found our selves in a jam with our shower leaking pretty heavy and only being able to turn it off outside of the house so we called Mr. Rooter and they said it would be $79 instead of the free estimate which was ok since we were desperate! The technician came out and removed the cartridge and replaced it but the charge for everything was$448 which I feel is absolute highway robbery and just plain taking advantage of people in dire need!
2nd UPDATE:Last weeks UPDATE led to a follow-up call from the Mr. Rooter location we used. The charge was refunded after our discussion, which I appreciated.Why I did not go back to my original five-star review:1.) The person who reached out was accusatory regarding the updated review because he had not, in fact, READ the update. He assumed I updated a review from August when it was from December.2.) The person who reached out was the same one I spoke to in December, however, he did not review the call recording first. Had he done the research first, perhaps he would not have started from an aggressively defensive posture with a customer because he would have clearly heard himself telling me the camera service fee would be waived since his team had just been here a few months prior.3.) The person who reached out put responsibility for the incorrect charge on the technician/plumber, which was also not logical nor appropriate since that individual reached out to him to get clarification on the charge while standing in front of me in my house.While I appreciate the business taking responsible action to reach out and correct the charge - I wish it had not taken a Google review - and an extremely unpleasant phone call - to make that possible.As much as I like and appreciate the service provided by the Mr. Rooter technicians/plumbers (they were great) - I very much disliked and did not appreciate the interactions with the front office.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~UPDATE (January 2021):Well, I certainly dont like having to amend this review, but I would hate this to happen to anyone else ...We had a second issue in four months with our main drain. Having had such a good first experience with Mr. Rooter - we did not hesitate to call them again.This review is not about the tech/plumber being unprofessional - it is about how the front office handled the situation - a classic bait and switch.I called for them to come out just after the holiday, and we went through what had been done in August. I spoke to John and was told the tech/plumber would be instructed to snake a camera down the main drain line at no extra charge since it was so close to the last visit - to see if we had root intrusion from an oak.When the tech/plumber arrived, we discussed the phone call with John at the office and his instructions to camera the line - which he agreed was a needed thing but said he had no instructions to wave the charge. He checked with the office and said there were no instructions to camera the line at no charge.So here we are with a drainage issue and a bait and switch on the pricey camera work needed to determine if the issue is related to the oak tree.Its late on a Saturday on a holiday weekend - so we felt very much felt between a rock and a hard place.We authorized and paid nearly $300 for the service because we were obviously concerned about what was causing the issue and if it would get worse. We didnt feel we had a choice.That being said - the tech/plumber who came out was great, polite, knowledgeable - and we were grateful for his help.The issue we have and reason for this updated review is the person we spoke to - John - at the office, who seems to have knowingly deceived us.I like the service provided but the front office deception is one I cant square and theyve not followed up with me since.Sadly, we cannot recommend - nor will we use again - this Mr. Rooter location.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Original review from August 2020:We had a bad clog late in the day on Saturday. We tried everything we know to do to fix it, but nothing was working. I called several plumbers but only Mr. Rooter answered and sent someone out. Skyler came out and immediately knew what was wrong (main drain clog). He was able to fix it, test the drains after and walked us through everything. We were very happy with his professionalism (he wore a mask the entire time) and knowledge, and we are so grateful to find a plumber who answers the phone on a weekend and is available to help!
From my initial contact with Mr. Rooter to schedule an appointment for an estimate, the office staff were extremely professional. My appointment was scheduled within a two day period. My plumbing technician, Clinton, arrived on time for the estimate. Clinton also arrived on time for the installation appointment. He took the time to answer all of my questions. After he completed the job, he cleaned up the area completely. Clinton was a consummate professional, extremely courteous, friendly and helpful. If you are looking for a plumbing company with a courteous and professional staff, Mr. Rooter is the company for you.
Mr. Rooter started off with helping through an emergency situation at my sisters old duplex. Since then he has been our familys go to for extraordinary updates and the occasional emergency. Great service and outstanding character has remained consistent over several years now. Highly recommended.
I connected with John through a Home Adviser referral. Communication upfront was clear. He delivered everything on time as promised. Work was clean and respectful of my home and property. He made sure everything was working properly and explained it all. I was so impressed I hired him to then change out my hot water heater. Again he was straightforward., no nonsense. Just did the job professionally. It was efficient, clean. No hassles. Price was exactly as quoted. I would use him again and have no reservations about recommending him.

Found Mr Rooter after googling for water heater service. I wanted someone who I can pay via telephone or online, being that I’m in Colorado.I purchase the house in Port St Lucie and occupied for less than two years. The heater was less than three year old. I couldn’t find the install info that previous owner gave to me.John came out, look at the fairly new leaking water. He said he might be able to repair, upon further inspection, not repairable. I wasn’t born yesterday, so, I had an idea $$$$ was up there. Job completed the next day since it was late in evening. 50 gal Rheem Pro. $1300 and change on a weekend. Will definitely recommend and use again, hopefully no time soon.
They fixed my shower but being on the weekend the prices were outrageous it was almost like price gouging
The office and service manager was great. However the call was important and was quoted around $300.00 to unclog a kitchen disposal drain. He said he didnt know what was involved so he priced by the job. I was left with no better choice so I told him to go ahead. It took about an hour. STICKER SHOCK. I asked him why so much for one hour labor? He said some time they spend too much time at on stop and they make it up on others! Meaning thats the way they compensate their inaccuracies at my expense. At the same time I got a free quote from them on another non emergency project and Mr. Rooter was around $500.00. I received another quote for the same job and it was $300.00. Mr. Rooter is a price gouger. I had the job done by the other company. Their job was done perfectly. Also, the plumber couldnt figure out how my disposable worked as he stated hes worked on thousands. It has a safety top. A plumber should know, all the others through the years noticed it.
A real Person answered the phone after 5 PM on a Friday! When I told him about my emergency he assured me that someone would be out That evening with everything they needed On The Truck to complete the repair. Because the problem was outside of my house they worked with headlamps for 2 hours in the dark. They gave me a coupon, a senior discount and a One Year Guarantee on their work. Ive already recommended Mr.Rooter to a neighbor.
If I had no stars I would give zero.I called this number guy answers phone.Im trying to talk I felt like he honestly didnt care. He stated They were booked and that my situation wasnt an emergency although I have to turn my water heater off every day to prevent it from flooding the garage but he didnt allow me to tell this part because he was to busy telling me that he was at a costumers house right now and this is an emergency..Some people dont need a business.! Do not use this company I just was over looked creeep!!!!!!
My intial encounter with this company was great. The tech spent alot of time looking for the problem and explaining to me the issue without condescension. He did not charge me either. Then I had another issue so I called them back. It was a different tech but he was very professional. However, that was in May when the tech cleared out a pipe for me. Today I call back to ask why would it be clogged again already when I have lived in this house 4yrs prior with no issues before May? The representative on the phone was monotone yet condescending and tried to talk over me the whole time. He automatically assumed I wanted something for free when I was curious. When I explained they just lost a customer he said he doesnt want my business anyway. I would not recommend this company to no one.
Our technician arrived on time and masked up and started in on the problem. by the end of the day the problem was taken care of at less cost than our services. I retired from the heavy construction industry after 40+ years and have only rarely come across someone that would not quit no matter what. Your company is very lucky to have a man such as him. Christine in the office and Skyler in the field offered quality work, easy scheduling, efficient communication, and above-and-beyond service every step of the way. Our shower needed a part that they had to order, and they actually apologized for the delay, even though it wasnt their fault. WOW. They should offer customer service courses to all businesses in south Florida! I wish all repair work was this simple and painless. I recommend this business wholeheartedly.
During my 5 1/2 yrs in PSL, I have only used Mr. Rooter Plumbing. They are responsive, professional and the quality of their work is superb. Additionally, their honesty has proven I can trust them. My experience with them is absolutely outstanding so I absolutely recommend them.
Kudos to Mr Rooter! To start off the young lady Christine on the phone was so helpful when I called in a panic because my bathroom had flooded while I was out shopping. She assured me that she would have someone over with in an hour. The plumber John and Tyler showed up in less than 20 minutes. Wow! John went straight to work to find out what was going on. He only stopped once he knew for sure what the exact problem was and how much it was going to be. They both worked very quickly and efficiently for several hours till they had the pipes fixed and my water back on that evening. Once again KUDOS to MR Rooter!! I havent stopped telling everyone about it since they rescued me.
We had a main drain plugged up in our house. We had called Mr. Rooter and he showed up within one hour. John was the plumber and he was able to get us unplug and flowing again. I had known of a faulty main water valve for the house and had him replace that also. John was very professional with all the work . The prices I felt where very fair for the amount of work. He was able to give us some discounts to help save us money. I would tell anyone that if they need a plumbing service to contact Mr. Rooter .

Our 2 back to back toilet was draining slowly. We thought we needed an expensive drain service but the estimator flushed both at about the same time a few times and they are now working perfectly. I asked for a bill and he said No Charge. Awesome, thank you!
My plumbing clogged again 6 days over the 30 Day Guarantee time frame, however Mr. Rooter offered to come out, after hours, and unclogged my plumbing free of charge! John was at my house within 45 minutes and explained, in detail, how the clog could be reforming and provided insight into how to prevent this in the future. Thank you, John for the help!

Next time I need plumbing service, I am calling Mr. Rooter.1.called and serviceman was at my door step in half hour flat.2. very polite and explained everything ahead of time including work to e done and the cost.3. advised on precautions to take when refrigerator was to be moved for cleaning etc.4. THEY DO NOT CHARGE TO COME OUT TO THE HOUSE AND PROVIDE ESTIMATE...WOW5. assured me that if any issues arise, call and they will take care of it.

Company installed a new water heater a couple of years ago....a day ago...no hot water..called and tech responded promptly....and figured out the problem quickly..will use again in the future....call these guys...
This company is very good after called several other companies where they charge for to come to your house and tell you what I already know some of them extremely high, Mr. Rooter sent me a technician the next day of my phone call I have the pleasure to meet a nice profesional technician, the prices they have I think, are highter but they dont charge you for estimates like the other places that is why I think are high but they give you options for your budget, I will call them again if I need their services.

2022-03-01John the owner of the Treasure Coast location, came by personally, because of the $1200+ that my mother already spent with Ben Franklin Plumming, and they couldnt find the real issue.John found the real issue in less than an hour, gave a free estimate and scheduled the repair in a timely manner. 2021-09-29My family went through 2 other local plumbers before we found Mr. Rooter Plumbing of the Treasure Coast 2 years ago. We have had no desire to change plumbers since. Our technician, Clint, is Grade A💯. He always explains everything in full to our complete understanding and sets the expectations high and meets them. Every bit of work weve had him do has been of top quality. There is never a need to call them back as the job is done correctly the first time. They are extraordinarily accommodating with scheduling. We had to reschedule a water heater replacement multiple times as an ongoing roofing project was in the way and I never felt like it was an inconvenience to them.It is my honor to leave a review for Mr. Rooter of the TC. You will not be disappointed in the quality of work you receive.

2021-12-25I had them come over to install a dishwasher, mine had broke. Before he came over I washed a full dishwasher of dirty dishes in my sink. When replacing my new dishwasher he told me I had grease in my outflow pipe and it would soon cause a clog. It was $300 to clear the pipe on top of $440 to install (had to hardwire the plug, not just plug in) the dishwasher. I’m now dealing with a sink full of dirty water from a clog that was somehow no problem before he was here. I don’t understand why before I could let the faucet run forever with any backup in the sink and after he left( literally that same night) it backs up in the sink after washing one fork. He did suggest jet blasting the drain (I don’t remember the technical term) in the near future and it would be around $1200. I can’t help wonder if that’s why my sink is now clogged. So they can come collect more money? Such good reviews but I’m worse off now when I had no problem before the visit.

2021-12-01Called Mr. Rooter Plumbing on a Sunday as I had a water leak. Spoke with a very knowledgable man (not an answering service) as to my concerns at my home with leaking water. An appointment was scheduled for the very next day. Skylar called first that morning & arrived on time. After much dectection to be certain of the area in question to the leak he proceeded to do the repair/replacement. He kept us informed all along the way as to what was going to be taking place. I like that. Skylar did a fantastic job. We couldnt of been in more comptetent hands. Very glad I called Mr. Rooter & would recommend them highly for whatever your plumbing problems may be. Thanks to all at your company from the first telephone call to the end of the job. Will be using this company again should the need arise.

2022-02-24I called in three times to ask a question about potential plumbing work needed. I was instantly answered by a gentleman who refused to speak with me and hung up. I called back and then he proceeded to yell that he was in a 130 degree attic and hung up on me again. I have never seen any business work in this fashion and I hope nobody proceeds to use this company unless it is an absolute last resort.

2021-04-27Ive used the Port St. Lucie Mr. Rooter on 2 occasions- once for a consultation on a possible water leak and again to install a dishwasher. I found them, both times, to be capable, professional, and to go above and beyond my expectations for the quality of the service. Its also worth noting that Im pretty sure the plumber who did my first consultation on the leak was dishonest and prepared charge me to unnecessarily replumb my whole house. Mr. Rooter was very thorough, clear, and apparently honest, in their diagnosis. They also didnt charge me for it. I couldnt recommend them more highly.Im adding to my previous review after calling Mr. Rooter again- this time to replace a hot water heater. I called on a Sunday night- anxious after finding water on the floor of my garage- and Mr. Rooter showed up within 12 hours to do the job. Its hard for me to write what happened next, because Im not sure who will believe it but, in trying to move my car out of the garage to make room, I realized that the battery was dead and I was stranded with no one to help get it fixed. John offered to pick up a new battery, on his way to get the new water heater and then installed it in my car, for no charge.Im a senior citizen and a woman, living alone, always in fear of being cheated by unscrupulous workmen. Knowing I can call John to do honest work- much less so generously save me in the middle of a crisis with my car- is more than I have words to describe. I can only hope to let as many people know about what kind of work he does and what kind of person he is so that the members of my community can benefit from someone who so deserves to be recognized.

2021-09-23Our home formerly had polybutylene piping and although this piping had been replaced, much of the old polybutylene had not been removed from our attic, so we assumed it had not been replaced. The Mr. Rooter crew came to our home prepared to do a full replacement, including over 10 fixture connections. As it turns out, the crew indicated that all of the piping had actually been replaced and they indicated it had been installed appropriately. In addition, they repaired a bathroom tub fixture that had been incorrectly installed by another contractor. The crew was in our home all day and when I went to pay them for their time, they refused payment. I cant say enough good things about my experience. I would HIGHLY recommend them for any plumbing work!
