Never in my life have I experienced suchLack of communication and unprofessional from the employees, to the point that when I refinanced our house AND they dropped the ball and we wound up not being cover for 30 days when we thought we were. It was a night mare and they didnt care.. NEVER AGAIN.
Regency has great customer service. Went above and beyond when we were having issues with our MORTGAGE COMPANY after hurricane Michael. Theyre always friendly and quick to respond. When my husband and I were house shopping they probably gave us 20 quotes over the course of two days. They really do get you the best deal. I highly recommend!!
I have been a customer of Regency since 2012. Throughout the years they have always been kind and helpful whenever I had questions or concerns. They have helped me find great rates from reputable carriers on 2 different homes including an older home with a trampoline. Someone even reaches out to me periodically to see if any of my needs have changed and ask if I would like them to check rates again. Truly great people to deal with.
Update: I am updating this review from a 5 star rating to a 1 star. The 5 stars was for selling me a policy. Actually dealing with this company has been a complete nightmare.My old policy went up and I wanted to see if there was any options for a lower rate. I found regency and they sent me a quote for Universal P & C June 26th. July 1st I signed paperwork and sent wind mitigation. They wanted an updated 4 point (I have an older home so its understandable) so I scheduled that for July 3rd. Inspector sent them documents. As far as I knew policy was good. My mortgage paid them in July. August 15th my old policy was cancelled. New policy from Universal P&C was starting.Fast forward to August 27th I get some weird email memo from regency that Universal P & C is requiring this:1. Please provide colored photos and the paid in full invoice from a licensed electrician confirming the cloth wiring has been removed or remediated.2. Please provide colored photos and the paid in full invoice/final permit from a licensed roofer or contractor confirming that the damaged roof vent has been replaced.No letter/No phone call/No communication from Universal P &C. Nothing on my account dashboard. I called regency. They reiterate the same thing that the memo says. They tell me I will be cancelled September 8th if this is not done. That means that gave me only 2 weeks to fix.I get quotes. The cloth wiring will be 15-20 THOUSAND dollars. No thank you. Roofing companies are overbooked and dont know when they can get to me for the roof vent replacement. I am infuriated that I switched companies for a lower rate to then be told I have to update something in my home for that kind of money. I should have stayed with my old policy if that was the case.I called Regency again. To get other quotes from other companies. They have no companies that can cover me because of the cloth wiring.I find outside insurance. But they cant issue a policy until Universal P & C cancels me. So we wait.September 13th I am curious why I am not canceled yet because they said they 8th. Check my Universal P & C dashboard. There is an extra $400 something dollar bill with no explanation. I called regency. They said its because I did not send the wind mitigation in a timely manner. I tell her I sent it on July 1st. She said oh yes you did well we will fix that dont worry about it.September 20th(still not canceled) I get another weird email memo from regency. No letter/No phone call/Nothing on my account dashboard from Universal P & C again that says this :Good day!We received a memo from your insurance carrier Universal Property & Casualty Insurance Company:As per your carrier, Please be advised the wind mitigation submitted is missing the required supporting color photos; credits cannot be applied. Please provide legible color photos.We tried to contact the inspector but was unsuccessful, if there are any questions or concerns, please do give us a call we are more than happy to assist.I call regency. I said no one told me that they were missing pictures. They said that I didnt send the wind mitigation in a timely manner. And FYI they already billed my mortgage company the $400 something without speaking to me and my mortgage company paid them (my new insurance was able to call the inspector and get the missing pictures just fine so what the issue was I still do not know)I will finally be canceled on Monday October 18th. I am ecstatic and cant wait to be done with this nightmare. The only thing I wonder now is how long it will take to get my refund. Should be interesting.
I recently renewed my policy with Regency after dumping my previous Insurer. My agent at Regency was Amanda Austin. She was very pleasant to converse with. Very knowledgeable and efficient. I was able to buy a HO policy within 24 hours. Thanks for the excellent service.
The folks at Regency found us the best rates for our homeowners insurance upon our recent move from Pittsburgh to Ft. Myers. Usually lower cost equals lower everything, but we took a chance. Thank goodness we did! Every step of the way, someone was there to answer the phone, immediately take care of business and even make recommendations on how to get the lowest premiums. We had a snafu with an inspection item on the new house, and getting updated docs to underwriting was done quickly and efficiently. If I could give them six stars, I would.
When I was looking for new insurance for my home I went online and filled out some forms. Regency was the only company that called me back. I told them what I needed and they were able to get me a new carrier in a few days. Now my policy is up for renewal and they have researched all the possibilities and come back to me within a few days. I truly appreciate this company
Every year I go through the hassle of trying find the best coverage for our home at a price I can afford. I sent out 5 insurance quotes to other agencys. I received no, to very little responses from 3. The other 2 quotes were priced a bit lower but no follow up afterwards. The main reason with us going with Recency is there follow up with us after the quote. Victoria, Kevin and Eric have been very helpful. Thank you.
Every time I call I get the same happy, friendly, and knowledgeable service.If you are looking for an insurance agency that will get you the best coverage for a reasonable price, Regency Insurance is the company you are looking for.I did a lot of research over a 6 month span to get home insurance coverage for the right price and the best quotes with the best coverage came from this company. I did the same with my auto insurance policy and once again they had the best coverage and price.By the way I live in Orlando Florida and i never had any issues trying to get them to answer my calls and/or my emails.
My experience with Regency was amazing. Called for information on homeowners insurance, I spoke with a woman named Alicia and she was more than helpful! She answered every question, shared her thoughts about certain topics on insurances, she was extremely friendly, professional and honestly made the process completely easier than I ever could imagine. It was outstanding!! Would definitely recommend Regency Insurance Group to anyone and everyone!!
Ive used Regency for the past 2 years when I needed a homeowners policy. They communicate well and have some really good tools that make signing and paying easy. They represent a number of third party insurance companies, that all seem to be financially stable - so they offer good options.
I had to get homeowners insurance when the covid19 hit the fan in late March. They found a way to handle the issues and mine as well. I asked for options and they gave me several quotes. We communicated via phone, email, pics via email from inspector etc. Never once did they treat my questions like bullets. My main people that I remember in your office are Heather and Eric. There may have been others. Teamwork is what made it work and patience is a virtue. Thanks
HORRIBLE! Months to try and resolve basic homeowner insurance issues. Send out emails, and no identity of whom it is from. Always speak to a different person, unaware of your status. Complete neglect! Still trying to solve issues, with weeks before being drop due to their neglect and poor work ethics.7/7/20- I am updating my review. I will up to 3 starts, as the issues were finally resolved. Regency must improve its communication to its clients, as well as being up-to-date with their clients status and their respective insurance carrier. A more 1-to-1 approach rather than having to speak to a different person every time, would makes things much better. Thank you to Sierra for helping me resolve all my issues.
In the year 2020 I refinianced my home Mortgage at a lower interest rate. In doing so a lot of steps numerous tasks must be completed. In 2021 when the interest substantialy droped, I refinance again. The process consumes a great deal of time. I appreciated the speed in which they responded and they courtesy and professionalism. Most of all, am very please with the lower rate compared to what other companies offered.
Outstanding Service! I was looking for a homeowner policy after receiving a 22% premium increase for my 2019 renewal. After a few minutes with Kevin Koelmeyer on the phone he assured me he could provide some quotes. He was able to get me a premium more in line with what I had with a reputable provider. Kevin and everyone who contacted me from Regency were very helpful and professional.These folks are a pleasure to do business with.

Victoria Echols, Amanda Austin and Heather Kockler understood me in my situation of being cancelled (my prior company stopped covering all existing homeowners insurance policies on any homes built before 1960). The Regency team members were kind, considerate, compassionate, very knowledgeable and extremely efficient. I hit the jackpot by following my neighbors recommendations to call the Regency Insurance Group and I will happily refer this fine company to others to pay my gratitude forward. I have been with Regency for many years, with mutiple policies. Their customer service is Fantastic, a product of the culture established by the owners. Anyone that I have associated with over the years is patient, knowledgeable, and they go above and beyond to search for the best rate in their impressive data base. Good evening, I typically never take time to leave detailed feedback but I realize how much this may help someone else.Regency should give even more focus on CSR training when it comes to delivering premium quotes. The information gathering process is vital and it is painfully clear when the process is not seamless. Unfortunately, I recently had an unfavorable quoting experience that couldve been handled better by a representative named Amanda Austin. She seemed a bit uncertain and it ultimately showed in the information she delayed to disclose during the process.As an insurance professional for over two decades, Ive experienced countless quoting transactions. This felt like I was relying on a first day employee to ensure my financial security with a P&C policy. There was a bit too much hesitation and lack of confidence. Hopefully she will develop this over time.
I called Regency for some information today about 2 homeowner insurance policies. The people who answer the phone are always courteous and very helpful. I actually needed to speak to an underwriter so I was transferred. Within minutes I had my two policies with excellent pricing. It was a savings over the previous policies. I only deal with Regency because they are customer oriented and bend over backwards to help you with whatever your needs.
I was quoted an Insurance quote for homeowners policy. Submitted wind mitigation photos and 4 point photos with these inspections) was then told it was increased to $1200 annually. Then after a month they asked for more pictures of my air conditioning. I already submitted inspection reports and wind mitigation report... and had no photos they canceled my policy then after several weeks they reinstated my policy back charged me an increase my rates to almost double these people are ....be careful.
I normally don’t leave reviews, but my experience at Regency was worth one. Kylie, in particular, was extremely attentive and friendly. She made the every thing go smoothly and answered my questions with ease. So refreshing to see an employee with such a strong regard for the customers !!!!
I found Regency Insurance when I lived in Southern Florida. I moved to Sarasota 5 years ago and have yet to find an insurance group as responsive and professional as Regency. So, although their office is 2 hours away, I continue to use Regency for my home insurance because they are simply amazing!
Kevin and his crew is super efficient and very responsive. Emails are returned same day often minutes later. And quotes for all our insurances were significantly less. Got my family and friends to join. If in doubt get a quote and you’ll won’t be disappointed. M K. Md.

Update: Regency did straighten out my policy and the premium is as quoted. I was contacted immediately by the owners and they had their staff correct the issues. Originally: Please don’t buy homeowners from this group, they lowball the premium, bind it and then have the insurance company bill you a huge additional premium. You rarely speak to the same person and it is hard to determine if anyone there is competent.
Always attentive, and pleasant to deal with. They are committed to resolving any issues that you may encounter. I had an issue with my flood policy that was not their error but from an irresponsible surveyor. Regency followed through w emails, phone calls until the issue got resolved. They make your satisfaction and outcome a priority. I would highly recommended this insurance.

Ive used Regency for several years to handle the insurance for a Florida property. I live overseas and the staff at Regency have always gone out of their way to make the process easy for me, particularly in terms of finding the best policies and dealing with individual insurance companies from the other side of the world with a huge time difference to my location. In my most recent dealing with the company, my rep Juliana was able to substantially reduce my insurance costs by shopping around for the best policy, rather than taking the simple route of just renewing my existing policy. Im very happy with Regency and would have no hesitation recommending them to anyone.

I cant stress enough how great regency is. The whole team is always friendly and helpful they really care about their customers. I know how hard they worked to help prepare everyone in the area for hurricane irma even if you werent a customer. They stayed in the office to make sure everyone had what they needed all the way up until the storm. After the storm they were back in the office as soon as they had power to help us again. You cant go wrong with choosing the regency family
I have found Regency Insurance Group to be very responsive and effective in seeing that my insurance needs are met.Regency was recommended by my realtor 12 years ago and I have been with them since then and very satisfied with the UPC insurance they have connected me with.
I signed a policy with Regency recently upon purchasing a new home. I reviewed different policies offered to me, I did not go with the cheapest policy but with the one offering the most coverage for the lowest cost. They were very efficient and quick to respond. I received my application via email and noticed a discrepancy on the size of my home, I promptly called and made them aware of this, they said that it would be ok to just sign that they would take care of it and that the insurance company would do an inspection either way. After the inspection was performed I received a bill because my insurance had increased by $186.00 because of the size of the home. I called them right away since this is something I had reported before securing a policy, I was told once again they would take care of it. I didnt hear back and assumed they had taken care of it, I later received a notification from my mortgage company that they had paid out the $186.00. For the $186.00 difference I couldve purchased a different insurance offering better terms. I will not be renewing with this company.

On occasions I have had queries with Regency regarding my home insurance policy . The consultants are very friendly and eager to be of service. However I did have problems which they were unable to resolve . But when I spoke to Kagen Cooksley, the co-founder of the company, he was very attentive and resolved the issue in the soonest possible time. I think that the best test of really good service is when you have a problem and it is sorted out in a punctual and professional manner. Kagen and his team pulled out all the punches to solve my problem and I recommend him and their great service to any potential homeowner looking for insurance

Update: I have been getting my home insurance needs with this agency for a very long time. 15 years. Casey is a great asset and all interactions are top notch. Brian was certainly a brain in coverage but he is now gone.Really sad of that loss. His word was his trademark and his rates were excellent. That office used to work in sync with most A+ insurance companies but they got hit last year with a bad company that increased my premium by over $400 more in premiums for one year in one month. I got shafted ! That also hurt my mortgage payments for this year. I think that they still can do better. After all, they also carry my parents home policy. Carlos Pacheco
We had two flood insurance quotes at $3700 + This amount would really put us in a bind for closing on our new home.However, our third quote was $534. Agent Alicia Jean was the only person to double check the elevation certificate and notice discrepancies. She contacted them and had them correct the errors which in turn brought the price in alignment with reality!Thank you Alicia, you ROCK!

I contacted Regency for a quote on my homeowners insurance, they responded quickly and with a quote from a company I was familiar with and is worse than having a policy with Citizen state insurance. I told him I was not into that particular company or the practices of any other company that runs on those same claim payouts. I am familiar with the business and the industry, thankfully, or I could of been another victim if I had a claim with that company. I Notified him that I want a reputable company to quote with. Then received another quote to see the limits were MUCH less than I need and currently have and would not even cover my personal property in event of a loss. Well Regency didnt like that I was an informed consumer and wasnt going to take the low premium policy because of those limits were not even half of what I have now. Beware and READ your policy and limits to see if they are quoting you correctly, you may end up with a cheap policy but is worthless in event of a claim. They tried to get me to sign up on their so called cheap policys, and thankfully I am informed and educated on the industry as many consumer are not, understandably. I questioned those limits and havent heard a word back from them. INSURER BEWARE, READ YOUR POLICY AND LIMITS. CHECK ON THE COMPANY YOU ARE QUOTED!! REGENCY GROUP IS DEFINITELY NOT OUT FOR THEIR CUSTOMER, ONLY THERE POCKETS AND POLICYS THEY CAN GET YOU TO SIGN WITH.
Excellent Insurance vendor. Very good, professional staff. They keep track of what they are doing and give you advanced notice when something needs to be done. They also do not engage in the habit of sneaking premiums up arbitrarily when they think you wont notice. This in itself is enough for me to recomend them. A good company and you do not have to back check everything they do.
Unfortunately we have not had the same pleasant experience with Regency Insurance as Ive been reading in the other reviews. I 100% agree that the staff is very friendly over the phone. However, we are going on 4 months now post Hurricane Irma, where our house was badly damaged, and not one thing has been done by the insurance. If myself or my husband did not continually call and stay on top of someone we wouldnt be as far as we are now. Our house is ridden with black mold due to the length of time the house has been damaged and leaking. I have 3 small children, and Regency Insurance, who is under Heritage Insurance, does not want to pay to relocate us until the mold is remediated.Without writing a novel, I would just like to say we are thoroughly disappointed with the service. We pay our insurance premiums on time and in advance and when its time for the insurance company to step up, in the event of a major Hurricane this time, they are no where to be found. Definitely disappointed.
Ive hopped around to many insurance companies before I landed on Regency Insurance. The most important thing I was looking for in my search of the right company was (1) obviously the price, and (2) a personable experience. Its always frustrating having to call a customer service hotline with any company and not being able to get through immediately AND when you finally get through the person on the other end taking your call doesnt seem happy.Thatnkfully I found the ringer with Regency! Theyre always happy to help. Theyre knowledgable and best of everything, theyre quick, efficient, personable AND have great rates! I would highly recommend switching companies and joining the Regency Insurance Group!

Id like to start by paying the staff at Regency my highest compliments. The youthful energy in their voices belies the very well trained seasoned professionals they are. Kudos to the management responsible for their hiring and training, after all, its managements pulse that courses through the staff. As a paying customer I get to pick a favorite and that would be Crystal. She made me smile when I was not paying attention. Then I realized, Its like Im talking to people that are happy all the time. Hopefully, its something in the water because the rest of us can surely use a good dose of that.
I have had homeowners and auto policies with the Regency group for over 10 years and have always felt like a special customer and never the had to work hard to make sure they were giving me the best rates available through their multitude of options they know their business and they take care of their customers makes me comfortable knowing I have a good insurance agency working for me.

I wanted to leave this review for the staff at regency. I have never ever left a review for any company for anything. I had multiple extensions on my closing contract 5 to be exact. Every time there was a new extension of course I forgot to call this person or that company but Regency stayed focused even if I didnt. With every new contract extension they knew about it took care of any paper work or whatever they have to do every time there was a contract extension but I never knew about any of it and still dont know a thing about it because Regency did know what to do, when to do it and how to get it done without bothering me with the details they got done what they knew would need to be done even if I didnt know what it was or when it needed to be taken care of. If any body has ever been thru a closing you all know that having someone that takes care of things and that you can count on is a commodity especially dealing with a closing.When I know of anyone getting ready to buy a home I will always make sure they contact Regency because if they are dealing with your homeowners insurance you have a company you can count on taking care of 1 less thing that you wont have to worry about because you have a company that knows cares and will get things done.Donald Medley

My recommendation is to look elsewhere. Cancelled my insurance without notifing me 2 months before the hurricane last year. Was supposed to cancel someone elses with a similar name. When brought to their attention, they were neither apologetic or remorseful. Their only concern was covering themselves. Thank God I didnt need to file a claim. If I could leave 0 stars, I would.
I was pretty hesitant to buy insurance because I wanted to make sure I was covered fully and some places in the past have really rubbed me the wrong way but I decided to give Regency a try and the service has been second to none. I highly recommend this company to anyone looking to be taken care of in any situation. These guys do just that, they take care of you.
I am really impressed- suffered minor damamge from Irma and got a call the day after the storm from one of the owners from a cell phone since the office was without power. Wow they must really care about their customers. Nice to see someone actually deliver on what they promise. Thank you Regency :)
Regency Insurance is the last place I would go for insurance. We were with them for 5 years. After being lied too consistently we have now left the agency. Kagen was our original agent and as they grew we were handed off to various agents who never returned calls and never shopped the best price most other independent agencies do. After calling multiple times and not getting a response I went on Facebook and left a review and then Kagen finally reached out saying he knew nothing of any problems. He then told us he would take care of us, shortly he handed us off once again. Now today we get a notice in the mail we got a bill for $300.00 more than quoted and no call informing us. When we called Kagen wasnt available but yet when I went back to Facebook and left another review he reaches out with the office number. His partner Kevin, who has never dealt with me or my wife, decides to respond to her review basically calling us liars. Dont do business with Regency Insurance I was one of their first clients when they started their agency and they outgrew customer service. I will be leaving reviews on other sites as well.
Within two months of them cashing my check they sent a Inspector to my house who was shown on security cameras ripping boards out of my fence to gain access to my back yard.They then demanded I spend thousands of dollars repairing stuff ASAP or they were going to cancel me. Dont do business with them its a nightmare.They also charged me a 90 fee for canceling my insurance before they canceled me.
My wife and I are retired and live and Lakeland. I spent 35 years in the not-for-profit Hospital industry in Human Resources Management in Florida. My last position I had five hospitals and responsible for five thousand employees.Anthony was never pushy but asked those why, what, when and when questions which made it very easy to make a comparison and ultimately a decision. He was an asset to your organization and ultimately made it easy for me to male a decision. I never felt pressured but felt like I was making a decision for the right reasons.The man I admire the most and whom I flowed from organization to organization throughout my career at his request, taught me to think before responding and give a direct response to the question so the person could either make an informed decision or ask for clarification.Anthony is a true asset the Regency organization and his loss to your agency would be profound.
Went through this company to change insurance because my old policy kept getting higher. Biggest mistake of my life. The company they signed me up with sent an inspector; who like the other reviewer stated; tore down my back door fence to take pictures of the roof. Needless to say, the insurance company told us that they would drop us unless we replaced the roof. I feel that there is some illegality in all this. My old insurance company did not think we needed to do this. We do not have any leak or signs of leaks. The roofer that came out to give us a quote, thinks that the insurance company is strong harming us and that the roof has a couple of years left on it. I am consulting with a lawyer (and people that help veterans) about this insurance company. This has been the most stressfull experience for my family.
My aunt owned the home and had insurance through regency. When she passed away we decided to stay with regency because they knew the home and it would prevent a lapse of insurance. I was given a price, paid the price and now Im being told the will not honor the credits on the home so I owe more now. I asked about shopping for another company but Im told they cant because of the lapse of the policy. What lapse? There was never a day that the home was not insured with them. Monday Im calling my agent that has my home policy.
I Called in and had question about homeowners issues fr. As a first time home owner she helped me understand the process and Is very quick and knowledgeable in her area. Would definitely recommend friends to speak with her 🙂 very helpfull thanks again Alisha m. Segarra 🙏🏽

2022-07-27I would like to give a big shout out to the Regency Group, but one person in particular (Danielle) she went above and beyond in her duties. Her customer service skills are excellent and take her time with the client to understand all the important information. Also its hard in this climate selling home insurance in Florida and I can say they truly try to get you the best deal. Thanks again I will recommend this agency to all my friends and famliy.

2022-03-14Theyre a really an efficient company with good customer service. However, they recently changed how they give you insurance quotes. Instead of giving you the quotes right then when you call them and go over the different quotes they instead email the quotes which takes almost 2-3 days to receive and they dont have many options like they have had in the past. I have been using them for years though and they have always taken care of my home owners insurance and have saved me money in the past but as of recently since they have made these changes it seems not so much. For this very reason this is why I rate them as average. Also if you choose to go with a quote they will call you to ask if you have decided and then they say well have a person call you back and you have to wait. They give you no time frame which is inconvenient.

2022-07-20Run dont walk. Would give 0 stars if I could. They will be nice and once you sign you wont exist to them anymore. Calls are never returned and they dont work for you as they say in beginning to make you happy or shop for cheaper insurance. They put the insurance company first. Dont recommend.

2021-12-15Amanda Austin was so great to work with! She was also so quick to respond to emails and calls. When more information was required, she reached out immediately. At the end of the process, we were approved with the lowest quote we had received from any other company. I definitely recommend using Regency Insurance Group!
