Sato Real Estate went above and beyond to help us get a last minute vacation rental for our family! The house was amazing and very clean! It had everything we needed to make our vacation perfect. They went above and beyond to accommodate us. We will definitely book with them again in the future!
We just came home from a wonderful vacation in Anna Maria that included five nights at a Sato managed rental near Bean Point. The check-in was super easy, we picked our keys up from the Sato office after hours. The house was sparkling clean, comfortable, and even better than the pictures on the website. After we had reserved the property, the owners replaced the sofa bed with a regular sofa, and Sato provided a rollaway for us at the last minute, which we really appreciated. When we emailed with a question about how to use the spa, Josh arrived minutes later to personally answer our question on site. We could not have been happier with our stay, and we will gladly rent from Sato again.
We recently had the opportunity to rent the Willow Hideaway property listed on Sato’s vacation rental website. The Sato team provided easy to follow door code access instructions, and a left a very informative welcome packet at the property. Upon arrival, the house was cleaned throughly. The rental property had many extra amenities for the pool and beach activities. The elevator in the house was helpful for moving luggage and our baby items to the third floor during our stay. I look forward to renting another property through the Sato Team in the future!
We rented a house recently Memorial Day week on Anna Maria Island and it was so beautiful and clean! We’ve rented a few houses from Sato Real Estate, and they are such a pleasure! They are very professional and quick to fix any issue that might arise. Always looking forward to our annual AMI vacation through Sato Real Estate!
Mediocre. Very unclear about listing. We booked expecting three bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms. The property at 333 Tarpon Street was not ready. Would absolutely NOT recommend working with a company that isn’t even familiar with the properties they’re “managing.” Window blinds didn’t work in several rooms. Two stars for the young lady that responded promptly at 4:45 PM on a Monday, she was polite.
I booked a property yesterday, within an hour I was charged and had signed a contract. Today I received a call saying the property is not available and owned just decided to stay. Just basically so sorry bad news, not sure why you would not have confirmed with owners before charging or why the house would even be listed.
I rented a home on Anna Maria Island this past week through Sato Real Estate. I had absolutely no problems. I did only give them 4 stars but that was only because my interaction with Sato was minimal and I never had a chance to test their services with a problem or issue. I found the house I wanted online, asked a few questions, rented the home. picked up the keys and had a great time. The house was PERFECT in every way and there were literally zero issues. We checked out today and we cant wait to return. We are seriously thinking about buying property on the island and I would definitely use Sato if we decide to do that. Thanks for a great week!
In these uncertain times Sato was great to work with and resolved all of our questions/cancelation for our reservation, in a very quick manner. We first had to rebook due to our first reservation/owners not leaving their house in time for us to rent. Sato was great and not only found us a new place but helped cover the price difference by waiving some of their fees. Then when a travel ban was put in place for us in Michigan Sato gave us a full refund no questions asked and again quickly.We are grateful for Satos level of professionalism, understanding and quick resolution. We will continue to do business with Sato.
Our overall impression our property is mixed. The potential is there, however, we had numerous issues with both the stay and with the management company, Sato. First, we were welcomed my rat feces on the refrigerator and on the floor. As we cleaned the property ourselves, we found further evidence of rats under the couches and upstairs bedroom and in the attic space adjacent to the bedroom. We also found socks under the bed. We also cleaned the beach toy outdoor closet which was a mess. We also cleaned the outdoor shower which was green and dirty due to a leaky shower the management company knew about before we arrived. The management company did respond with a cleaning crew at our request and they did an excellent job on the interior. Their reply to us, We would have fired those that did the cleaning job before them. A decent job of cleaning would have discovered the rodent issue. We then had to deal with multiple days of a exterminator, who was ok and eventually trapped three rats. A few days later, the refrigerator went out on a Friday morning and because the management companys rep didnt listen to us, we wound up without a refrigerator for the better part of four days at which point in time they had to bring in a loaner along with the existing refrigerator. At least it worked. We had guests coming for the second week of our stay and we couldnt fathom having them stay in the upstairs bedroom considering the rodent issues. So, we requested options. Fortunately, a property was available, which helped out considerably, but at a full rental cost to us. Although the management staff reply well at times, they did not do so consistently. Restaurant gift cards of $150 were welcomed, we do not feel they came close to compensating for the loss of vacation time, extra cost, and inconvenience during our stay. We have stayed upwards of ten years on Anna Maria and this was our most unpleasant experience by far despite weather of a perfect 10! It is a cute spot, conveniently located, with a lovely pool, but only when it is clean, operating well, and without uninvited guests.
Thank you for providing outstanding customer service.Every point of contact I had with your staff was excellent from remitting payment, to a courtesy call that our house was ready early, to handing me a packet the moment I walked through the door during the busiest day of the year, to staff arriving within minutes to help us unlock the door, to prompt and personal assistance with the Internet, and to top it off, our property manager, Josh, personally searched for our son’s Air Pods accidentally left at the rental.I would definitely use Sato Real Estate again and highly recommend it to friends and family!
Weve been coming to AMI for years. This was our first time renting from Sato and Im very pleased! They called to let me know our home was ready a little early, the check-in wasnt a mad house like other companies we have used. We did have to call about the pool heater. Which isnt something you need in May in FLA but with all the rain and backyard being shady it was too cold for us. They were so sweet and had someone there within 15 mins. The home was very clean and we plan on staying there again! Thank you much for taking care of us.
We spent the week of July 30 thru August 6, 2016 at Forever Summer, we made the decision last minute so I wasnt really sure how easy the renting process would be with such short notice and us being in NC. Debi at Sato Real Estate as well as the whole staff made the process very easy and their great customer service continued after we arrived.Now about the property, it was beautiful and well stocked with linens, kitchen utensils, etc. The layout of the home was very convenient, the pool was well maintained and beautiful. the location of the home was very convenient and central to everything on Anna Maria Island. We had an awesome vacation and are already planning our return for next year.
Our first time Honeyfish and through Sato Real Estate and Vacation Rentals, but 3rd time on Anna Maria Island, We enjoyed staying at the Honeyfish last week, the house was very clean and roomy and the view was amazing. The guys really enjoyed fishing right off the dock and the ladies loved watching the sunrise while drinking coffee and sunset at night while drinking cocktails, the pool was just the right size. We called the office to get a pot to cook low country boil and it was delivered that afternoon, we also had to call because one of the smoke detectors in a bedroom was chirping and someone came right out. The staff was very friendly on the phone and when they came to the house. We hope to be able to stay there again.
After living on Anna Maria for many years, I recently returned for a staycation. Sato was wonderful in helping accommodate us for a last minute trip. All the details were well communicated, and check-in was contactless and easy. They were very helpful! We stayed at the lovely Casa Violetta, which was just a few houses from the beach and had a great pool. Couldnt ask for a better team to work with in executing a great stay on AMI!
My wife and I along with our extended family stayed a week on Anna Maria Island for Spring Break this year. We used the services of Sato Reality in procuring and leasing a place. We didnt see the place and relied on their staff to find and recommend a house. We could not have been more pleased. The house was PERFECT. It was large enough to accommodate everyone and was clean, comfortable, with a lot of extras and in a great location for what we wanted to do. At times, there were more than 15 people there for meals and there was room to spare. Thank you Katie for your help, you are a true professional. We will certainly call you next time.Harry B
We visit AMI every year. This was our first time using Sato to rent a property. We booked in January for the first week of October. Mid-March, they called to inform us that the property had been sold and that the new owner didn’t feel like it was “priced right” so they were not honoring rentals after June 1. I waited for a resolution and never heard back. I reached out to them a few days later and asked to be sent a list of comparable substitutes to choose from. They sent a list with rates attached to them. I was told that I would need to pay the difference or get my deposit back.I have spent many years in customer service and now manage a team dedicated to it. In the business world, things go wrong. No company is perfect. However, the sign of a great company is how they handle problems. The only correct way to resolve this would have been to quickly offer a comparable alternative at the same price. Sato didn’t do that.My recommendation would be to rent direct from an owner or find another management company that will put your needs first. You only get a small amount of vacation per year and you cannot gamble it with poor service.
I want to thank you for such an amazing experience my family and I had. This is our first time renting a vacation home. My son got married on December 8, 2018 at the Sandbar in Anna Maria island and finding a vacation rental so close by was great. This beautiful home that we rented from you was just what we needed. It was the first time that we were meeting my sons in-laws and we wanted to make them feel welcome into our family, since they were flying in from South Africa. The service was great, the comfort was amazing, the furniture, beds need to be updated, but besides that the fact that we had such a great vacation and got to know our new family members in a family oriented environment was great. We have rented a Pineapple fish home through SATO Real Estate for the past 4 years. Every year both the service from SATO and the Pineapple Fish home have been great!This year we rented the Lime Fish property. We were very impressed with the re-decorating done on the home since our last stay. The Pineapple Fish homes are great because of the money they reinvest into the homes to keep them fresh and new.Upon completing this years stay we immediately re-booked for 2017. Already looking forward to next year!
Good Morning Debi, I just wanted to thank you for the use of the beautiful property at 2309 Avenue C. This was our first trip to Anna Maria Island with our family (2 daughters, 2 son in laws and our 7 month old granddaughter). We had the absolute BEST week and enjoyed it so much we are already planning to visit again in Spring, 2019!. The condo was spacious, comfortable and beautiful. The saltwater pool and surrounding area were very nice for relaxing afternoons. We had everything we needed for the week. Being so close to the beach, trolley, shopping and everything else on the island was quite a treat! The entire process of choosing a place to stay through check in was efficient and comfortable. Communications from Sato was excellent. Heres the best part: we woke up this morning to a leaky toilet. I talked to Danielle at 9:00 A.M. Ken showed up at our door at 9:10. Checked the situation, went to the hardware store, returned and by 10:00 the leak was repaired. Now thats service. We are ready to sign up for next year.
If you want to relax and enjoy a small piece of heaven, do yourself a favor and check out one of Satos properties. Ive stayed in about 5 so far as we commute to AMI from Maine every year and nothing but excellent service. We ran out of ice one time after making WAY TOO MANY margaritas and their property manager was happy to stop by the store and get us some ice to continue the day. Will be back!
We rented the Dreamcatcher which was a beautiful home. However midweek we all started getting sick. I contacted asking about mold or Covid cleaning. I was told there was never a mold problem even though there was a review from December claiming mold all over. Long story is when we returned home our entire party tested positive for covid. I don’t believe the house was cleaned and sanitized throughly. We found a dirty hat and soda bottle underOur bed as well as a swimsuit from the previous guest hanging on the back of a doorknob. I contacted the rental company and advised that we all tested positive. They refused to tell the people who checked in after us. They acted like I was making it up. It saddens me because I just didn’t want anyone else to get sick.
There is no one else to rent from! The Sato family is salt of the earth. They have been renting my beautiful home in Anna Maria for 6 years now. Attention at every level! As an owner, as a renter, or even as a potential buyer. The staff does not come and go as many do on the island. They are in it for the long haul. It is their family business and it is run with respect, decency and pride.
We are staying at a Sato Real Estate property and I could not be happier. I think this is the 3rd review Ive ever written, but Im doing it because of the earlier review by Stacy Hearty. How irresponsible and entirely baseless to blame this company for the fact that your family tested positive for COVID. I came here from Tampa, an hour away. While getting here I stopped for coffee, I stopped for gas, I got here and went to Publix, I went to the beach. I have had countless encounters in public areas where I was repeatedly exposed to the risk of COVID. And by the way, I knew there was a risk because everybody who doesnt live in a hole in the ground knows the risk. How incredibly irresponsible and irrational to go on Google and blame this company as if you know that Sato Real Estate intentionally gave you COVID. Absurd. Where did you come from? How many places did you stop on the way? Symptoms can take 14 days to appear, how do you know where it came from? How long does COVID survive on surfaces anyway? Did yall stop at a McDonalds in Micanopy and somebody caught it and then yall breathed on each other for another 3 hours in the car?And mold? Did you research respiratory issues caused by mold and determine that symptoms appear in 2-3 days?Frankly, it pisses me off because I rely heavily on online reviews and when people give 1 star based on absolutely non-sensical bullsh*t it makes it harder for those of us with half a brain to determine whether a business is worthwhile or not. Stop writing reviews. Sensible people cant rely on them.Sato Real Estate has delivered everything they promised and the service has been exceptional and if I test positive for COVID tomorrow, I have absolutely no idea where I got it from and thats the actual truth.
Sato Real Estate was an absolute nightmare!!!!I and my wife were set up with a nice Florida vacation rental - signed all the forms, made payments and (only then) booked our flights – when they canceled our booking on us with no excuse and were unable to accommodate us within the same time-frame.When we were unable to rebook or cancel our flights (which were from Germany) without a significant cost, Sato Real Estates response was literally weeks of silence and then little more than “tough luck.” They claimed the situation was beyond their control (again, no explanation) which voided our contract.In the end we had to pay hundreds of dollars to cancel the flights! They are Amazing. Sato Real Estate provided a rental for my family for an entire month. They were so accommodating to them and the home was right on a canal and literally across the street from the beach. Thank you very much and you all deserve nothing but a 5 star rating.
This review could really serve as 4, but I will post for my friends. Me and some people rented a home in Anna Maria and had a few issues with it. I called twice to confirm availability in terms of a rental that I saw online they confirmed twice verbally booked online paid and they charged my account sent me a contract and then within an hour canceled my contract however they did not give me my money back .....have called, emailed and no action on their part. They are waiting for what? Money was paid to them right away by the card. I “owe” the amount on my card!!!Called my bank again.... the merchant has not processed a refund.This after we decided to go away after a family challenge and they have just totally done what they should have Process a Refund!They cancelled my reservation, offered me an option not comparable and a simple I am sorry and have held onto my money. If I would have in turn cancelled it would have been a BIG deal on me as I burdened them. Will never do business with them!
We stayed at an air bnb that is managed by these folks. Our ac unit died which caused a water leak in our bedroom and across the entire downstairs floor, also we had dead and live roaches in the down stairs room. The second morning my wife woke up to a roach crawling on her. When the handy man came over to assess the situation he called danielle on speaker phone. She proceeded to call my pregnant wife crazy, which we all heard. Needless to say thats unprofessional. I dont fault the air bnb owner however I do think she needs to rethink who she had overseeing her investment.A cleaner did come out to vacuum and mop and some HVAC folks to fix the ac unit.In addition the upstairs air conditional wasnt operational from the date we arrived and continually would reset to 84 degrees every couple of hours.The expectation of someone spending thousands of dollars and using limited vacation time is that the basics are taken care of. Bug control is a standard. Appliances should all be working.
Terrible experience. Rented Limefish and the property was a disaster, broken tiles everywhere, the windows wouldnt lock, and the sheets hadnt been changed. Not to mention, the house smelled of old alcohol and urine. We had to leave. This property was completely misrepresented, and no one would work with us to refund any of our money.

Of all rental agencies that we had rented with Sato Real Estate is by far the best.it is normal that in rental houses something does not work properly and needs to be replaced. 2020-07-28This was our first time staying on Anna Maria Island and it was the best vacation yet! We initially found out property on another website but went through Sato Realty directly instead. The property we rented, Mintfish, was clean and check in was easy. Non contact with a code on the door for the week made travel to the beach easy with not worrying about keys. The location was ideal, but a golf cart was needed to travel to pick up food and supplies. It was the perfect vacation where we could isolate ourselves in a paradise. Sato was quick to respond with just a few issues we had with the internet and built in microwave. Additional cooking supplies were provided and there was enough for us to cook at home quite a bit. My wish is for a tv in the kids room, and additional lounge seating on the dock (there were only two lounge chairs). A bonus would have been a paddle board or kayak to use, but we rented one on our own for the week. Beach Bums was exceptional to rent from!! We are already looking for dates to return next year to the same property!

From start to finish — whether support searching for the right place within our needs, ensuring we had all the information for our stay, and a friendly check-in and communications along the way. Our condo on Pine was just perfect, comfortable and very clean — not to mention it provided gorgeous sunsets on the dock from the back for the nights we didn’t hit the beach. Highly recommend renting through Sato Real Estate when you come to this town of paradise. Enjoy.

2021-05-09We stayed at one of their properties in February. We normally rent from another realtor on the island which we have always had great experiences with. We were so excited to finally go on vacation after a long year and walked into a dirty, run down home. We were not comfortable at all in this home. Not a good feeling when you are stuck staying for a week. Their were hairs everywhere! The kitchen counter, bed and toilet. We immediately called the realtor who did send cleaners back out. They came in and changed the sheets and left in 20 minutes. The pool furniture was rusted and rundown. The pool was dirty and had plastic floating in it. The grill wasn’t working and the guys in the house spent hours working on it. When we came home, one of the other couples in the house called the owner of this company Barbara Sato. She was condescending and down right rude. In so many words, she said you get what you pay for! This home was what we could afford. It shouldn’t matter if you spend $3000 or $15,000! Each home should be clean and in good condition. We asked for money back for our trouble and the only thing she refunded was $300. Don’t rent from this company! They don’t care about your experience.

2021-04-12This company made our two week stay so wonderful. An appliance issue was addressed immediately, as were some check-in road bumps. These things can happen but its how a company responds that make a difference. My concerns were handled within hours of calling them. I only wish I had booked directly with them instead of a third party, who dropped the ball on so many occasions. This was the biggest lesson I learned from our first timing going to AMI......BOOK LOCALLY!!!! Sato is family owned, has history with the island and most importantly is LOCALLY OWNED. Every single person who ever answered the phone was courteous, friendly, light hearted and most importantly, efficient. Thank you, Sato, for your wonderful service.

2021-12-04What a fantastic week of vacation!!! We had to reach out acouple of times to sato real estate.... I can not express how amazing they were with us! We had a toaster that didnt work, a brand new one was dropped off. We had a pool heating problem ...they sent someone out and when that didnt work they sent someone else out after hours to help resolve the problem!! The house was beautiful !!! The homeowners were great and very fair with us over the pool heating issues! All was resolved and we were very happy with the service! I will say the elevator in the house was hard to figure out...it couldve just been the operator 😂.... I would definitely come back again .
