Hands down a great place to have breakfast. Great food and drinks. I ordered a white chocolate frappe with caramel, a salted caramel iced latte, brioche breakfast sandwich with havarti cheese and prosciutto extra, 3 beignets, lastly a croissant French toast. My boyfriend not entirely hungry just got a banana bread. He enjoyed the bread.Im a foodie and loved everything I ordered. It was delicious. Trying this place out, I wanted a little bit of everything. I guess the ordering system online had a mistake since I was supposed to only choose one flavor for the beignets. The gentleman up front making coffees was very informative and kind to let me have one of each flavor anyway since it was my first time there and I wanted to try everything. All three were delicious, though I noticed theyre pretty hollow inside. Was hoping for a more fluffy pastry with filling. But besides that, theyre still pretty tasty. The French toast was very pretty covered in a variety of fruits. Very fresh. The sandwich exceeded expectations. All the ingredients were piled up high in there. You definitely get your moneys worth. Also extremely delicious. Best scrambled eggs Ive ever had. And now the coffee. I ordered 2 drinks because I wanted to try them both out from this place and decide what I like best. Its honestly a hard choice. Theyre both good. But my boyfriend preferred the frappe. I guess its out of the norm to customize a frappe drink here maybe? The white chocolate frappe I asked to add 2 pumps of caramel. As the gentleman handed it off to us, he said he wasnt sure how itll taste. Well, I thought it was absolutely wonderful. Both drinks were very creamy, smooth and refreshing. Honestly, both me and my boyfriend agreed that for the price and quality for the drinks, skip starbucks and come here instead.TLDR the drinks are amazing and the food was made beautifully with top notch quality ingredients. Kudos to the chef. And thank you for being so kind and informative to a new customer. Definitely will be returning soon.
My first time at this place and I’m obsessed. The food is amazing and delicious. I tried the avocado toast and it was perfect. Love the coffee with the designs . Service was excellent. Nice location. They follow health rules. Clean and nice music. Definitely recommend
My kids love coming here after school their food is very decadent and delicious high end products to create their specialty coffees like Ghirardelli syrups and chocolates. I hope they bring back their bacon wrapped dates or figs my god they were to die for! Their almond croissants açaí bowls and their soups also very yummy.
Honestly, cute little hidden gem in the Miami lakes/ PSN area! Every time I Order the food is super consistent some times takes a little long when ordering Uber eats but food is still great. if you have a chance to actually visit the location it’s adorable inside. Whether, your looking to get a quick bite or work (music isn’t loud) I would definitely recommend you to try it for yourself.
Quaint spot. Food was fresh and very good. The fried bacon wrapped dates are the way to go. I enjoyed the prosciutto grilled cheese and the croissant French toast. A bit on the pricy side, but the food was worth it.

Very nice little coffee shop!The parking around it is a little atrocious, but its worth the hassle.The brioche breakfast sandwich is scrumptious! Their chai latte is also wonderful. I did add an extra shot of espresso, as I needed an extra kick in the pants today, but the latte was still smooth and flavorful.The avocado toast also got rave reviews from my breakfast companion, and I look forward to giving it a try!
Drip coffee great, banana bread out of this world fluffy & tasty! Ambience feels more like a lunch spot than a coffee spot but overall would come back.

I loved the experience here! Danny made us feel very comfortable and was knowledgeable about the menu (food and coffee). I loved the design he was able to make on the foam (see picture) and the coffee and food was delicious (I had the chai vanilla latte and the prosciutto egg croissant sandwich). I would highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a great atmosphere and great coffee / food!
Moved to the area a few months ago and this has quickly become our favorite spot! We walk over every Sunday morning for the best coffee and avocado toast EVER! The first time I tried the avo toast I couldnt stop telling all my friends about it. Highly recommend!!!!

What a hidden gem!The barista (forgot his name, my bad lol) explained to me their menu with such patience and also showed me about their cool app that can “print” almost any shape, phrase or sign into your cappuccino or late foam, which I think was so cool!

Delicious! walking in I thought it was going to be just another gimmicky type location with the Jazz music playing loudly and all of the 30s/40s imagery wraps on the walls leaning toward a European looking little bar. Surprisingly the food and its presentation was really great. I recommend! On to my review, The locations is great and very convenient for the neighborhood. Situated at a corner of what looks to be a very convenient one stop shop type of shopping plaza for Nails, Yoga, salon, etc.. The appearance is very clean & energetic with great Jazz playing. The food is really flavorful and although they have a small menu and no in-house actual Juices made they still provide plenty of great options to choose from . I will be back with friends and try more of their delicious selections.
The coffee was good. Their toast options are a little pricey. My caprese toast was good but it had way too much vinegar.

The food is great! You must have the bagel bombs! They have a great little gadget that lets you add your own picture to your coffee! The picture I chose didnt work out too well but it was well worth the experience. Get the ripples app.
Some times we dont try new foods because we are afraid we wont like them. You dont need to have that fear here every thing is made with excellence and quality ingredients. The new Blueberry, White Chocolate Ghirardelli smoothie is out of this world, you can tell they took their time finding the right blend to give an amazing and unique taste. As much as I loved it lets talk about the entree, an item recommend directly from the Chef! Its not even on the menu, so you can say its on the secret menu item, the Billionaires Benedict. I didnt understand the name till I tried it, the flavor is so rich I felt like a billionaire eating it! It had some arugula, a poached egg (which Ive come to love here), with a Yuzu Hollandaise sauce that compliments the THICK caramelized bacon, all served on top of Zaks Whole Grain Bread that adds a pleasant crunch to the meal. All in all amazing, delicious, and just the right amount of filling. I highly recommend it, and always remember to try new foods!

One of the best coffee shops I have been to. We had two coffees and let me say they were amazing. I had the croissant ham and cheese it was delicious. Go try it you wont regret it. The caramel macchiato is the best here!
LOVE THIS PLACE! They always nail the avocado toast as it’s the only vegan option I order :) Their frappes are absolutely delicious and they stick to my requests ❤️ hopefully they can add more vegan options because I know they’d kick it out of the park. RECOMMENDED 100%

Small place, very nice setup. I think is very very expensive, even with the Zak the bakery bread and etc. And the food is just ok, nothing extraordinary. Even a simple pastry is expensive. I think they have to better price everything to have repeat customers. I definitely in the back of my mind, would think a lot before coming back. The coffee is good, food overall is good as well but need a better price. I was in 3 persons and each one order a coffee and a sandwich. We spent more than $60 dollars. Crazy right?
I went there with my fiancé a week ago. The moment I got there , I got greeted and treated amazing. I ordered the avocado toast which it was super delicious especially the croissant! I also got an ice coffee which it was always super good. For sure , Ill be going there again! I loved it!!!

SmartBean Coffee house since soft opening has never failed to surprise me with their delicious coffee and food. A must try is the avocado toast for breakfast! And you can never go wrong with a hot caramel macchiato, you can’t resist to take a picture and post all over social media, making all your friends wanting to know where this little gem is at. It’s coffee worth hyping it up for. You won’t be let down, promise.

I went here with my kids and it was amazing! The service was perfect and the food was even better. I recommend the avocado toast with the freshly squeezed orange juice. My experience was perfect and I can’t wait to go back next week.

Amazing customer service! I always come around closing time and usually kitchen is closed by then. I hadn’t tried the avocado toast yet and really wanted to today. The chef happened to be passing by and made me the avocado toast on the spot no problem. The avocado toast was delicious and so is their coffee. All their food is made from scratch!! I will bring all of clients here for coffee in the future
This has become our new, favorite neighborhood place. In the couple of months that they’ve been open, we’ve probably been here no less than 12 times. Each time weve tried something new, both pick up and eat in and each time weve absolutely loved our meals. Weve had every beignet on the menu (amazing), the Avocado Toast (so flavorful and fresh) the Chicken sandwich with egg and swiss (had this twice) and more. The ingredients are always fresh and the flavor of the combinations of those ingredients in their menu items is a step above others. The presentation of their food is also great and detailed. And the ambience has been phenomenal. The prices are far better than a Starbucks and the options are fantastic. The place is cool looking with jazz music playing and the staff is friendly and know our names. So happy its in our neighborhood.

Long waits , don’t go with party bigger than 2 , everyone’s food comes out separate , owner seemed more interested in chatting than getting food out . Counter area full of people waiting for call ahead orders , some leaving .
The food is really good. I absolutely love the avocado toast and the short rib tacos are amazing. As a matter of fact, today is taco Tuesday. I may order delivery for those tacos TODAY!!!!!

All I can say is WOW! This place is a corner of love. I ordered the Hazelnut latte and loaded Jackfruit home fries which happens to be a vegan option, ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS 🤤 This will be my go to Coffee shop from here on. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I highly recommend coming here.
Great food and coffee! Always worth the drive
Food was ok but not great. Açaí bowl doesn’t taste home made, just frozen and the tacos aren’t too amazing either. Also expect at least a 40 minute wait time when ordering food and drinks. This wasn’t my first time here but regardless of busy or empty they usually take around 35-45 minutes for food and drinks to be made. All in all it’s ok, not much praise but it’s simply because nothing stands out other than the wait times.

Coffee taste amazing. I had a regular coffee on my first visit with the Prosciutto Croissant breakfast sandwich. The flavors in my sandwich were top notch. I am not much of an egg person but I was curious to try when I saw it was made with truffle butter cheese. I went back the next day and had a caramel macchiato with a banana bread and also very delicious. I dont care for a lot of sugar in my coffee so this place was right up my alley; I was able to really appreciate the rich, bold taste of my coffee. The Ghirardelli coffee flavors were also a delicious touch to my Fiancée s white chocolate mocha.It is Buh Bye, Starbucks! ; from us.
Quaint, homey cafe with the most flavorful, fresh dishes and coffee better than any Starbucks. Try the butter cup frappe and the peanut butter toast for the best breakfast you’ll ever have. The loaded braised short ribs over plaintain fries will make your whole week. Love this spot!

*Update 11/2018Location is finally open. Nice decor. Friendly staff. They are still working through the kinks.Coffee was good, and they are reasonably priced. Just over 2$ for a small Americano.They have free wifi, though no wifi code was visible. (you had to ask for it)One qualm, asked for heavy cream, and they gave us the same pint from behind the counter they use to prep everyone elses coffee. Not sure that is safe. Again, could just be opening bugs that will get worked on.Overall, a definite spot to frequent.I would recommend it.Ill update my review again in a few months after they have had time to work though the opening.*Update, still closed. Now 8+ months.Still closed more than 6+ months later. No sign of opening anytime soon. Appears construction was halted month ago.

This is place is hands down outstanding! Im originally from the northwest where customer service is standard and until discovering this place I didnt think it existed in Miami. The beignets are made to order and the soy chai is better than Starbucks! PSN is lucky to have such a thriving coffee shop.
What a find!!! Little hidden gem in PSN that exceeds your expectations in ambiance, friendliness and most importantly FOOD AND COFFEE!!! It was absoutely delicious!!! We typically drive to the design district or Wynwood for brunch this good! We had their croissants and my girls had the beignets and blueberry muffins...AMAZING!!! Great job to the owners on your vision for this place! Wish I could give it more than 5 stars!!

I went inside and I ordered the avocado toast and the beignets stuffed with Nutella. I originally wanted a chocolate banana bread but they were out of banana bread which was a bummer but I thought why not the second best option. The wait for the food was rather quick and thank god for that because I was starving.The avocado toast tasted so delicious because of the miso vinaigrette, I almost felt like I was eating a salad lol. Top 5 best avocado roasts Ive ever had.
This quaint little coffee house tucked in our neighborhood is the perfect place to enjoy a great cup of coffee and not have go too far. Add an avocado toast or share some bacon wrapped dates to your coffee experience!!
SmartBean is the way to go !!! They have a very friendly and attentive staff here. The food was very good and a wide spread menu. Way better than your big name brands I’ll be willing to go out my way to make this place a usually stop of mine !!!

In I heard if you are a Book Reader ,Coffee Drinker or one of those people who like eating out the country dishes then Smartbean is the where you want to be morning ,noon then later in the day if you looking for a unique happy hour spot and love jazz music (Live jazz) Smartbean is the place to be go. In they have great down to earth owners awhile.(Danny and David) Go in check Smartbean Coffee House out ASAP.
I normally don’t take the time to write reviews unless the place was horrible or amazing, and truly this place was really bad, the food, the coffee and most importantly the customer service. We happened to be in the area and had heard great things about this place so we stopped by expecting great coffee...WHAT A DISSAPOINMENT! I asked for a hazelnut latte and it was PURE SYRUP, a syrupy, extra sugary cup of watered down coffee. Up to this point, I maybe would have gone a second time, everybody can have a bad day, BUT THE CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS HORRENDOUS, we visited in the afternoon, the gentleman in the register got upset because we leaned in the wall that it is painted with a picture of a woman and explained replacing the painting can cost them 5k (really!?) we had our child with us and the barista was very upset that a child was in the establishment, NOT A KID FRIENDLY PLACE. Honestly, a coffee place is supposed to be a relaxed, fun, easy going place where the coffee is good and the people are friendly, I don’t like Starbucks but would take it over this place 1000 times, if you like me prefer supporting local businesses,Roasting buddies in Pines and 184th is a a fantastic option for coffee, food and the service is fantastic or Panther Coffee in Winwood, even Einstein Bros (not really local business) has better coffee and food in Miami Lakes.
Smartbean Coffee is exactly the kind of coffee shop our community has been missing. Had the Short rib pizza and Hazelnut latte and both were DELICIOUS. Definitely going to be frequenting Smartbean as my new go to coffee shop!

Really hard to find a independent coffee shop in the area, IDK if it was the beans or whether the Expresso wasnt pressed correctly but wasnt what I was hoping for.

2021-07-05Took my parents for breakfast and we enjoyed our meals. The food was fresh and flavorful. The coffees we had were both delicious and my dad really liked his message on his drink. The staff was very friendly. Place was clean and decor was trendy. Great music being played. It is pricey, for a party of 3 it was $67.00 + tip.

Like really good quality, you will definitely be satisfied. They have fresh and delicious healthy options and I feel like the environment for dine in is so satisfying. 2022-05-13Was hoping for some fluffy and warm beignets but instead got what more resembled and tastes like wonton wraps dipped in a syrup, fried and then coated in powdered sugar, I guess they suggest having them come filled because it’s more of an egg roll that needs filling rather than a fluffy beignet with a hint of filling in the middle, should have known super disappointedUpdate:No need to lie and create a narrative to excuse bad food 🥴 Just icky overall! For guaranteed great desserts try Batch Cookie Company or even Parlour Vegan Bakery, there desserts are always fresh and delicious !And yes I do leave good and bad reviews for places I eat/shop at. That’s the point of being able to leave a review, depends on the experience 🤷🏽♀️ instead of being combative take this as an opportunity to do better 🥴 your no exception to an honest opinion just for being a mom and pop shop! 2022-04-25Really enjoyed their coffee. Their beans don’t have a burnt, acidic taste which Miami typically has to offer. You can taste the roast of the coffee, the soil and altitude that developed it, and the brew.Shoutout to Dani (i think he’s the owner?) I saw White Chocolate Mocha and asked if he had lavender to add to it. He immediately ordered lavender and I just tried out his Lavender White Chocolate Mocha both iced and hot and they were both phenomenal. Nice foam cap on the latte which the latte had enough milk where the foam was a perfect add on, not the only source of milk for the drink.Nice atmosphere to study too.5/5 starts for sure.

2022-04-16I have been a “usual” at smart bean for at least 4 years now. It began as my local business coffee meet with business partners , and it slowly but serlo became my favorite local spot to grab not just my favorite coffee, dirty soy chai latte. But their avocado toast + prosciutto is so good. And my now my childrens favorite French toast on Saturday mornings. The staff is always so friendly. And it’s just a great stop for your personal and business meets.
