After spending an evening at the chalice, the service and atmosphere was top notch, we decided to plan our rehearsal dinner for our wedding at the chalice. This was one of the best decisions ever! We had an amazing night, they took care of us and our wedding party, the food was to die for! And they even decorated for the occasion for us, which for us was the icing on the cake! Thank you so much for the amazing night The Chalice off Canal! We will definitely be back. Our new date night spot for sure!!!!!
Went here for a random date night with my husband and it was amazing! Excellent wine list and even better tapas. Decor is super cute and romantic and the service was a ++. We will definitely be back!
Always a fun and entertaining evening. The staff is knowedgible, courteous, and make you feel like family. Tonight was a wine-tasting night with live entertainment--outstanding!

Very small pours....food quality poor.....minimal tables to sit...not at all impressed. Not sure if I want to go back for any reason

2022-02-07Im glad to see so many 5 star reviews. My wife and I have gone many times to another place in town where theres atmosphere and music, and we went to that other place on Friday night. But after one glass of wine there, we decided we should visit one or two new places. So we went to The Chalice and had no reason to go anywhere else. Everything about The Chalice is nice - the decor and furniture is delightful, the staff are all exceptionally welcoming chatty and knowledgeable, the owner Kim made us feel very welcome, the wines are priced reasonably, the food we sampled was delicious, and the music from a very talented solo, multi-instrument performer was captivating. Theres plenty of parking and its a stones throw from Canal and Hwy 1. We will be visiting The Chalice very often in the future. Nicely done Kim!

2021-07-04Such a beautiful wine bar ! The inside is glamorous. They have a large wine selection and even had several sparkling rose options which is hard to find elsewhere. They were able to accommodate dairy and gluten allergies and I got a delicious fruit and meat charcuterie with gluten free crackers. They have prompt and friendly service and I can’t wait to go back again !

2022-05-05Excellent wine bar! Nice people, well run. They had a lounge singer who is incredible. If they had a place for a baby grand piano it would have reminded my of some places in my distant past. Hats off to the owner!

2021-08-09Amazing small plates. Been a couple time and have never been disappointed. Im not a wine drinker but the wife says they have amazing wines and a huge selection. I drink the beer that they have. Owner is very knowledgeable. Service is quick and they have live entertainment all the time. Would highly recommend.

Fantastic customer service, purse hooks on the bar, large clean bathrooms, more disabled friendly than many places; ramp to get in, parking available close to the entrance, nice strong grips in the bathroom, tight navigation once inside, but everyone is very friendly & I didnt feel like I was bothering everyone when I had to squeeze by.A wheelchair might make it alright, I use 2 canes, but Im not sure how a scooter would do.There is smoking allowed out back on the large lawn (there are steps to get to it).The wine, drinks and food were awesome, especially enjoyed the fish dip, and just had a really good time with my mom & new friends on one of my rare excursions out of the house. And I got to experience this beautiful hibiscus 🌺 out front as well! Perfect evening!

2021-05-01This is our favorite new hangout. Great wines, reasonable prices, fantastic music and the owners and staff are such nice people. They have a very extensive wine selection by the bottle as well as delicious tapas. Try the skillet roasted olives! We will be back for sure. Come try this place! You will not be disappointed.

2021-06-16What a wonderful little place!It is decorated so cute and very very clean.Didnt try the food,but enjoyed my time at the bar having a glass of wine. Will be back when the live entertainment is there!The lil dogs might be the best part!

2021-03-07I just recently purchased a condo in New Smyrna Beach and had to check out the wine bars in the area and immediately fell in love with the Chalice off Canal. It is exquisitely decorated and it’s like a step back in time with nothing but quaint elegance. Kim, the owner, left no detail untouched. I found the wine selection to be phenomenal and budget friendly! They have a nice charcuterie, tapas and dips selection but I went with the charcuterie as I just wanted a lighter dinner and it was quite generous in portions. It’s now my favorite place to go as they as have live music every Wednesday-Saturday and Linda the bartender is a hoot and will make sure everything is perfect, as will Kim. Make sure you try the cookie skillet or pair the wine with the miniature cupcakes, they are to die for.
